27 This is the number of Israelites, the heads of the paternal houses, the chiefs of the thousands and of the hundreds,+ and their officers who ministered to the king+ in every matter of the divisions that would come in and go out month by month during all the months of the year; there were 24,000 in each division.

2 Over the first division of the first month was Ja·shoʹbe·am+ the son of Zabʹdi·el, and 24,000 were in his division.
