22 And Judah was doing what was bad in the eyes of Jehovah,+ and by the sins they committed they provoked him more than their forefathers had done.+ 23 They too kept building for themselves high places, sacred pillars, and sacred poles*+ on every high hill+ and under every luxuriant tree.+

32 In the second year of Peʹkah the son of Rem·a·liʹah the king of Israel, Joʹtham+ the son of King Uz·ziʹah+ of Judah became king.

35 However, the high places were not removed, and the people were still sacrificing and making sacrificial smoke on the high places.+ He was the one who built the upper gate of the house of Jehovah.+

5 Je·hoʹram was 32 years old when he became king, and he reigned for eight years in Jerusalem.+

11 He had also made high places+ on the mountains of Judah to cause the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit spiritual prostitution, and he led Judah astray.

33 Ma·nasʹseh+ was 12 years old when he became king, and he reigned for 55 years in Jerusalem.+
