14 So Zeʹresh his wife and all his friends said to him: “Have a stake put up, 50 cubits* high. And in the morning tell the king that Morʹde·cai should be hanged on it.+ Then go with the king to enjoy yourself at the banquet.” This suggestion seemed good to Haʹman, so he had the stake put up.

10 So they hanged Haʹman on the stake that he had prepared for Morʹde·cai, and the king’s rage subsided.

14 So the king gave orders for that to be done. A law was issued in Shuʹshan,* and the ten sons of Haʹman were hanged.
