2 But he said to them: “What have I done compared with you? Are not the gleanings of Eʹphra·im+ better than the grape harvest of Abi-eʹzer?+ 3 It was into your hand that God gave Midʹi·an’s princes Oʹreb and Zeʹeb,+ and what have I done compared with you?” When he spoke this way,* they calmed down.*

32 At this David said to Abʹi·gail: “Praise Jehovah the God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me! 33 And blessed be your good sense! May you be blessed for restraining me this day from incurring bloodguilt+ and from taking revenge* with my own hands.
