3 Surely it was by the order of Jehovah that this happened to Judah, to remove them from his sight+ because of all the sins that Ma·nasʹseh had committed,+ 4 and also the innocent blood that he had shed,+ for he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood and Jehovah was not willing to forgive.+

6 if you do not oppress foreign residents, orphans,* and widows;+ if you do not shed innocent blood in this place; and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm;+ 7 then I will allow you to keep residing in this place, in the land I gave to your forefathers for all time.”’”*
