29 And the earth will quake and tremble,

For the thoughts of Jehovah against Babylon will be carried out

To make the land of Babylon an object of horror, without an inhabitant.+

56 For the destroyer will come upon Babylon;+

Her warriors will be captured,+

Their bows will be shattered,

For Jehovah is a God of retribution.+

 9 Your hand will be raised over your adversaries,

And all your enemies will be destroyed.”
