8 What we heard about, we have now seen for ourselves

In the city of Jehovah of armies, in the city of our God.

Your eyes will see Jerusalem as a tranquil dwelling place,

A tent that will not be moved.+

Never will its tent pins be pulled out,

And none of its ropes will be torn apart.

15 Instead of your being abandoned and hated, with nobody passing through,+

I will make you a source of everlasting pride,

A cause for rejoicing throughout all generations.+

15 ‘I will plant them on their land,

And they will never again be uprooted

From their land that I have given them,’+ says Jehovah your God.”
