Violence originated with Satan the Devil, whom Jesus called “a murderer.” (Joh 8:44) After angels joined Satan in his rebellion, violence became so pervasive that the earth was ruined in the sight of God. (Ge 6:11) As we near the end of Satan’s violent world, many people are fierce and without self-control.—2Ti 3:1, 3.
