28 So Isaac call Jacob and bless-am and command-am say: “Make you no ever marry wife from the women wey dey Ca′naan. 2 Go the house of Be·thu′el, your mama papa, for Pad′dan-a′ram, and marry wife from there for yourself from the daughters of La′ban, your mama brother. 3 God Almighty go bless you and e go make you get plenty children and them go spread, and you go surely be group* of plenty people. 4 And e go give you the blessing wey e promise Abraham, you and your children,* so that you fit take the land wey you don de stay inside as stranger to be your own, the land wey God give Abraham.”

5 So Isaac tell Jacob make e go, and Jacob comot go Pad′dan-a′ram, to La′ban the son of Be·thu′el wey be Aʹram person. La′ban na the brother of Re·bek′ah, wey be the mama of Jacob and E′sau.

6 E′sau see say Isaac don bless Jacob and e don tell-am make e comot go Pad′dan-a′ram to marry wife from there, and say when e bless-am, e command-am say, “Make you no marry wife from the women wey dey Ca′naan,” 7 and say Jacob obey im papa and im mama and comot go Pad′dan-a′ram. 8 Then E′sau come know say im papa Isaac no like the women for Ca′naan. 9 So E′sau go Ish′ma·el family and marry Ma′ha·lath the daughter of Ish′ma·el, wey be Abraham son, join the other wives wey e don already get. Ma′ha·lath na the sister of Ne·ba′ioth.

10 Jacob comot from Be′er-she′ba and continue to go the side wey Ha′ran dey. 11 After some time, e reach one place and plan to sleep there that night because the sun don go down. So e take one of the stones wey dey the place and set-am so that e fit put im head ontop-am, and e lie down for there. 12 Then e dream, and see! steps* dey wey them arrange for the earth, and the top of the steps reach the heavens, and the angels of God de climb go up ontop the steps and de climb come down. 13 And see! Jehovah dey ontop-am, and e talk say:

“I be Jehovah the God of Abraham your papa and the God of Isaac. The land wey you lie down ontop, na you I go give-am to, and your children.* 14 And your children* go surely plenty like sand,* and you go spread far go the west, the east, the north, and the south, and because of you and because of your children* I go surely bless all the families for the earth.* 15 I dey with you, and I go protect you anywhere wey you go, and I go bring you back to this land. I no go leave you until I don do wetin I promise you.”

16 Then Jacob wake up from im sleep and talk say: “True-true Jehovah dey this place, and I no know.” 17 And e start to fear and still talk say: “Oh this place na special place! This one go surely be the house of God, and this one na the gate of the heavens.” 18 So Jacob get up for early morning and take the stone wey e be put im head ontop and e put-am as pillar and pour oil ontop-am. 19 So e call that place Beth′el,* but before, the name of the city na Luz.

20 Then Jacob promise say: “If God go continue to dey with me, and go protect me for my journey, and give me food* to chop and cloths to wear, 21 and I come back safe to the house of my papa, then Jehovah go don surely prove say e be my God. 22 And this stone wey I don put as pillar go be house of God, and I go make sure say I give you the tenth part of everything wey you don give me.”
