5 “E go bless your basket and your bowl wey you de use mix flour.

6 “E go bless you when you come inside, and bless you when you go outside.

7 “Jehovah go make your enemies wey stand up against you to fall for your front. Them go attack you from one direction, but them go run from where you dey go seven different directions. 8 Jehovah go bless* your storehouse them and everything wey you de do, and e go surely bless you for the land wey Jehovah your God de give you. 9 Jehovah go always make you to be holy people for imself, just as e don swear to you because you continue to obey the commandments of Jehovah your God and do the things wey e want. 10 All the people for the earth go see say you don answer the name of Jehovah, and them go fear you.

11 “Jehovah go make you get plenty-plenty children and plenty animals, and the ground go produce things well for the land wey Jehovah swear to your papa-papa them to give you. 12 Jehovah go open im storehouse wey things full inside for you, wey be the heavens, to make rain fall for your land for the season and to bless everything wey you de do. Many nations go borrow from you, but you no go need to borrow from people. 13 Jehovah go make you to be head and no be tail; and you go dey ontop, no be down, if you continue to obey the commandments of Jehovah your God wey I de command you today to follow and to do. 14 Make you no ever turn comot from all the words wey I de command you today, whether na to go right or to go left, to waka follow other gods and serve them.

15 “But if you no go listen to the voice of Jehovah your God, to make sure say you de follow all im commandments and im laws wey I de command you today, all this curse them go come ontop you and finish you:

16 “Curse go follow you for inside the city, and curse go follow you for outside the city.

17 “Curse go follow your basket and your bowl wey you de use mix flour.

18 “Curse go follow your children* and the things wey your ground go produce and your young cow and sheep.

19 “Curse go follow you when you come inside, and curse go follow you when you go outside.

20 “Jehovah go send curse ontop you, confusion and punishment for everything wey you de do until them don destroy you finish and you don die quick-quick, because of the bad things wey you de do and because you leave me. 21 Jehovah go make the disease dey with you until E don destroy you finish from the land wey you go take as your own. 22 Jehovah go strike you with tuberculosis, serious fever, disease wey de make body swell, fever heat, sword, strong heat and plant disease; and them go pursue you until you don die finish. 23 The skies for up go be copper, and the earth under you go be iron. 24 Jehovah go make the rain for your land to be powder and dust, wey go come down from the heaven ontop you until you don die finish. 25 Jehovah go make you fall for front of your enemies. You go attack them from one direction, but you go run from them go seven different directions; and your bad condition go make all the kingdoms of the earth fear. 26 And your dead body them go be food for all the birds wey dey the sky and animals wey dey the ground, and nobody go make them fear and run.

27 “Jehovah go strike you with boils wey Egypt people get, piles, eczema, and craw-craw wey person no go fit cure. 28 Jehovah go make you craze, blind, and confuse.* 29 You go de waka up and down for afternoon,* just as blind man de find something up and down for darkness, and you no go succeed for anything wey you de do; and them go always de play you wayo and de thief from you, and nobody go dey to save you. 30 You go promise woman say you go marry-am, but another man go rape-am. You go build house, but you no go stay for inside. You go plant for your vine farm, but you no go start to use-am. 31 Them go kill your bull for your front, but you no go chop anything from-am. You go see them de thief your donkey for your front, but them no go give you back. Them go give your sheep to your enemies, but nobody go help you. 32 You go de look as them de give your sons and daughters to other people, and e go always hungry you to see them, but you no go get power to do anything. 33 Na people wey you no know go chop the things wey come out from your ground and everything wey you produce, and them go always play you wayo and treat you for bad way. 34 Wetin your eyes go see go scatter your head.

35 “Jehovah go make you get boils wey go de pain you and wey no get cure, for your knees and legs, from under your leg go reach ontop your head. 36 Jehovah go drive you and the king wey you don choose make e de rule you to go nation wey you and your papa-papa them no know, and you go serve other gods for there, gods wey them make with wood and stone. 37 And your bad condition go make people de fear and them go laugh you,* and de use you do yeye among all the people wey Jehovah de drive you go meet.

38 “You go carry plenty seed go plant for farm, but na small thing you go harvest,* because locust go chop-am finish. 39 You go plant vine for your vine farms and care for-am, but you no go drink any wine and gather anything from-am, because worm go chop-am finish. 40 You go get olive trees for everywhere for your area, but you no go rub any oil for your body because your olive fruit go fall. 41 You go born sons and daughters, but them no go continue to be your own, because them go carry them go. 42 Plenty-plenty insects* go full all your trees and the things wey your ground go produce. 43 The stranger wey de live among una go continue to high more-more pass you, but you go continue to go down more-more. 44 You go borrow from-am, but e no go borrow from you. E go be the head, and you go be the tail.

45 “All this curse them go surely come ontop you, follow you, and finish you until them don destroy you finish, because you no listen to the voice of Jehovah your God as you no obey im commandments and im laws wey e don command you. 46 And them go remain ontop you and your children-children as sign and warning wey go last, 47 because you no serve Jehovah your God with happiness and joy for your heart when you be get surplus of everything. 48 Jehovah go send your enemies against you, and you go work for them when you de hungry, when your throat dry, when you no get enough cloths, and you de lack everything. E go put iron yoke for your neck until e don destroy you finish.

49 “Jehovah go make one nation wey dey far to rise against you from the end of the earth; e go attack like eagle, nation wey you no go understand im language, 50 nation wey wicked,* wey no go show respect for old person or favor young person. 51 Them go chop the pikin them of your animals and the things wey your ground produce until them don destroy you finish. Them no go leave any grain, new wine or oil, young cow or sheep for you until them don destroy you. 52 Them go surround you sotey you no go fit come outside from all your cities* wey dey all your land until your high and strong walls for protection wey you de trust don fall reach ground. True-true, them go surely surround you as you dey inside all your cities wey dey all your land wey Jehovah your God don give you. 53 Then you go chop your own children,* the flesh of your sons and your daughters wey Jehovah your God don give you, because the way your enemy go surround you and suffer you go serious.

54 “Even the man wey gentle and soft pass among una, no go pity im brother or im wife wey e love or im sons wey remain, 55 and e no go share with them any of the flesh of im sons wey e go chop, because e no get any other thing, since the way your enemy go surround you and go suffer your cities go really serious. 56 And the gentle and soft woman among una wey no go even think of to put the under of im leg for ground because the woman too soft, no go show pity to im husband wey e love or im son or im daughter, 57 even for wetin come out for im body between im two legs after e don born, and for the sons wey e born because e go hide chop them, since the way your enemy go surround you and suffer your cities go really serious.

58 “If you no make sure say you follow all the words wey dey inside this Law wey them write for this book, and you no fear this great and wonderful name, the name of Jehovah your God, 59 Jehovah go give you and your children punishment wey really serious, punishment wey dey great and wey go last, and sickness them wey de cause pain and wey no go gree go. 60 E go bring back all the disease them wey Egypt people get ontop you, disease them wey you be de fear, and them no go ever leave you. 61 Apart from that one, Jehovah go even bring every sickness or punishment ontop you wey them no write for inside the book of this Law until them don destroy you finish. 62 Even though say una don plenty like the stars of the heavens, na only small number of una go remain, because you no listen to the voice of Jehovah your God.

63 “And just as Jehovah be happy to make things go well for una and to make una plenty, na so Jehovah go happy to destroy una finish; and them go remove you from the land wey you go soon take as your own.

64 “Jehovah go scatter you among all the nations, from one end of the earth go reach the other end of the earth. And for there you go serve other gods wey them make with wood and stone, wey you and your papa-papa them no know. 65 You no go get peace for those nations or place wey the under of your leg go rest. Instead, for there Jehovah go give you worry-worry heart, eyes wey de weak de go, and e go make you feel-am say you no get hope.* 66 Your life go dey for serious danger, and you go de fear day and night; and you no go dey sure say you go survive. 67 For morning you go talk say, ‘I wish say na evening!’ and for evening you go talk say, ‘I wish say na morning!’ because of the fear wey dey your heart and because of wetin your eyes go see. 68 And Jehovah go surely use ship bring you come back to Egypt, for the road wey I be tell you say, ‘You no go ever see-am again,’ and for there una go sell unaself to una enemies as man and woman slaves, but nobody go buy una.”
