Deuteronomy

22 “If you see say your brother bull or im sheep de miss road, no just do like say you no see-am. You must take-am go give your brother back. 2 But if your brother no de stay near you or you no know-am, make you bring the animal come your house and e go dey with you until your brother find-am come. Then make you give-am back to-am. 3 That one na wetin you go do with im donkey, with im cloths, and with anything wey your brother lost wey you see. Make you no ever leave-am go.

4 “If you see say your brother donkey or im bull fall for road, make you no just do like say you no see-am. You must help-am raise the animal up.

5 “Make woman no wear man cloths, and make man no wear woman cloths. Because Jehovah your God really hate anybody wey de do like that.

6 “If you see bird house for road with the pikin them or eggs for inside, whether na for tree or for ground, and the mama sitdown ontop the pikin them or the eggs, make you no ever take the mama together with im pikin them. 7 Make sure say you allow the mama go, but you fit take the pikin them for yourself. Make you do like that so that e go better for you, and you fit live long.

8 “If you build new house, you must make low wall for your roof too, so that your house no go make person blood dey ontop your head,* because say person fall from there.

9 “Make you no ever plant two kind of seed for your vine farm. If you do like that, everything wey the seed wey you plant produce, together with wetin the vine farm produce, you must carry them go drop for the holy place.

10 “Make you no ever join bull and donkey together to use them prepare ground wey you want plant ontop.

11 “Make you no ever wear cloth wey them mix wool and linen together to make-am.

12 “Make you use threads wey them twist make designs* for the four corners of the cloth wey you wear.

13 “If man marry wife and e sleep with-am but e come hate the woman,* 14 and e talk against the woman say e no behave well and give-am bad name as e talk say: ‘I don marry this woman, but when I sleep with-am, I no see any proof wey show say e be virgin,’ 15 make the papa and mama of the girl bring the proof wey show say the girl na virgin give the elders for the gate of the city. 16 The girl papa must tell the elders say, ‘I give my daughter to this man as wife, but e hate-am* 17 and e de talk against-am say e no behave well as e talk say: “I don see say your daughter no get proof wey show say e be virgin.” But see proof wey show say my daughter na virgin.’ Then them go spread the cloth for front of the elders of the city. 18 The city elders go take the man and punish-am.* 19 Them go tell-am make e pay 100 silver shekels* as fine and give them to the girl papa, because the man don spoil the name of virgin for Israel, and e go continue to be im wife. Them no go allow the man divorce the girl as long as the man dey alive.

20 “But if wetin the man talk against the girl na true, and no proof dey to show say the girl na virgin, 21 make them bring the girl come the domot of im papa house, and make the men of im city stone-am till e die, because e don do wetin bring disgrace come Israel as e put hand for sex wey no clean* when e dey im papa house. So una must remove bad thing from among una.

22 “If una see any man de sleep with woman wey be the wife of another man, the two of them must die together, the man wey sleep with the woman and the woman. So you must remove bad thing from Israel.

23 “If man promise to marry virgin and another man meet the girl for inside the city and sleep with-am, 24 make una bring the two of them come the gate of that city and stone them till them die. Una go stone the girl because e no shout for inside the city, and una go stone the man because e disgrace the wife of another man. So una must remove wicked thing from among una.

25 “But if e happen say the man meet the girl wey person don promise to marry for outside the city, and the man force the girl and sleep with-am, na only the man wey sleep with the girl go die, 26 and make you no do the girl anything. The girl no do wetin suppose make una kill-am. This one just be like when man attack another man and kill-am.* 27 Because e meet the girl for outside the city and the girl wey person don promise to marry shout, but nobody dey there to save-am.

28 “If man meet girl wey be virgin, wey person never promise to marry-am and e hold-am and sleep with-am, and them catch them, 29 the man wey sleep with the girl must give the girl papa 50 silver shekels, and the girl go be im wife. Because e disgrace-am, them no go allow the man divorce the woman as long as the man dey alive.

30 “Make any man no take im papa wife, so that e no go disgrace im papa.*
