29 Then King David tell all the people say: “My son Sol′o·mon wey God don choose dey young and e never too sabi things, and the work big, because the temple* no be for person but na for Jehovah God. 2 And I don try all my best to prepare things wey them go use build the house of my God, I don arrange the gold for the things wey them go use gold make, the silver for the things wey them go use silver make, the copper for the things wey them go use copper make, the iron for the things wey them go use iron make, and timber for the things wey them go use timber make, onyx stones, stones wey them de use mortar hold together, small-small stones wey get different-different colors wey them de use decorate place, all kind of fine-fine stones, and alabaster stones wey plenty well-well. 3 Apart from that one, because of the love wey I get for the house of my God, I still take gold and silver from my personal things wey I get to give the house of my God, apart from everything wey I don arrange for the holy house, 4 plus 3,000 talents* of gold from O′phir and 7,000 talents of pure silver wey them go use cover the walls of the different-different rooms,* 5 the gold for things wey them go use gold make and the silver for things wey them go use silver make, and for all the work wey the people wey sabi use hand make things go do. Now, who ready to use im own mind* come out to give Jehovah wetin e get?”
6 So the leaders of the family groups for their papa side, the leaders of the tribes of Israel, the people wey de control one-one thousand soldiers, the people wey de control hundred-hundred soldiers, and the people wey dey in charge of the king work, use their own mind* come out. 7 And wetin them contribute for the work of the house of the true God na: 5,000 talents of gold, 10,000 darics,* 10,000 talents of silver, 18,000 talents of copper, and 100,000 talents of iron. 8 All the people wey get fine-fine stones bring them come the place wey them de keep better-better things for the house of Jehovah, and na Je·hi′el wey come from the family of Ger′shon dey in charge of the place. 9 The people happy as them use their own mind* give this offerings, because na with all their heart them give this offerings to Jehovah, and David wey be king happy well-well too.
10 Then David praise Jehovah for front of all the people wey gather. E talk say: “O Jehovah the God of Israel our papa, make them praise you now and forever.* 11 O Jehovah, you big and get power, you fine, you get glory, and people suppose respect you well-well, because everything for the heavens and earth na your own. O Jehovah, na you get the kingdom and na you be the person wey de show say you be the head of everybody. 12 The riches and glory come from you, and you de rule everything, power and strength dey your hand, and your hand fit raise person up and give everybody power. 13 And now, O our God, we de thank you and praise your fine name.
14 “But who I be and who my people be to get the power to fit use our own mind* give offerings like this? Because everything na from you, and na wetin come from your own hand we don give you. 15 Because we be strangers for your front and people wey just de stay for the land just like all our papa-papa them, because the days of our lives for this earth be like shadow and hope no dey. 16 O Jehovah our God, all this plenty better-better things wey we don arrange to build house for you, for your holy name na from your hand, and na you get all of them. 17 O my God, I really know say you de check the heart of people and you de happy when person heart clean.* I don use my own mind* give you all this things with all my heart and I happy well-well to see say your people wey dey here use their own mind* give you offerings. 18 O Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel our papa-papa them, make you do-am so that this mind and thinking go dey the heart of your people forever, and make you direct their heart to you. 19 And give Sol′o·mon my son complete heart so that e go obey your commandments, the things wey you de remind your people, your laws, and do all this things and build the temple* wey I don because of-am arrange things down.”
20 Then David tell all the people wey gather say: “Now make una praise Jehovah una God.” All the people come praise Jehovah the God of their papa-papa them, them come bow down and lie down for ground for Jehovah and for the king. 21 And them continue to do sacrifice them to Jehovah, and de do offerings wey them de burn to Jehovah go reach the next day, them use 1,000 young bulls, 1,000 rams, 1,000 small-small male sheep with their drink offerings; them do plenty sacrifice them for all Israel people. 22 Them continue to chop and drink for front of Jehovah that day, and them de happy no be small, and them make Sol′o·mon the son of David king for the second time and them anoint-am as leader for front of Jehovah, them still anoint Za′dok as priest. 23 Sol′o·mon come sitdown for the throne of Jehovah to rule as king after David im papa. Things go well for-am and all Israel people obey-am. 24 All the leaders, the strong soldiers, plus all the sons of King David put theirself under Sol′o·mon wey be king. 25 And Jehovah make Sol′o·mon get respect well-well for the eyes of all Israel people, and e raise-am high pass any other king wey don ever rule Israel people.
26 Na so David the son of Jes′se take rule all Israel people, 27 and the time* wey e rule Israel na 40 years. E rule for 7 years for Heb′ron, and e rule for 33 years for Jerusalem. 28 And e old well-well before e die, e happy say e live long life,* e get plenty things, and plenty people respect-am; then im son Sol′o·mon start to rule as king after-am. 29 As for the story of King David, from beginning go reach the end, e dey among the things wey Samuel wey de see vision, Nathan wey be prophet, and Gad wey de see vision write, 30 with all the things wey happen when e de rule, how e get power reach, and the things wey happen for im time, and for Israel, and for all the kingdoms wey surround-am.
