Leviticus
5 “‘If person* hear when them talk say make person come talk wetin e know* about matter wey e see or hear about sin wey another person commit, but e no report the matter, then e don sin and e go answer for im sin.
2 “‘Or when person* touch anything wey no clean, whether na dead body of bush animal wey no clean, animal wey no clean wey fit live with people, or groups of small-small animals wey no clean, the person no clean and wetin e do go dey im head even if e no know about-am. 3 Or if person no know before e touch something wey no clean from human—anything wey fit make the person no dey clean—and e come know about-am, then wetin e do go dey im head.
4 “‘Or if person* no think well before e swear to do something—whether na to do good or to do bad, no matter wetin the thing be—and e no know about-am, but then e come know say e no think well before e swear, wetin the person do go dey im head.*
5 “‘If wetin e do dey im head because of one of this things, then e must confess how e don sin. 6 E go still bring im offering to Jehovah for the bad thing wey e do for the sin wey e don do. Wetin e go bring na female animal, e fit be small female sheep or young female goat, for sin offering. Then the priest go do sacrifice for-am to make-am dey clean from im sin.
7 “‘But if e no fit get sheep, e must bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons to Jehovah for the sin as offering for the bad thing wey e do, one for sin offering and one for offering wey them de burn. 8 E go bring them come give the priest, and the priest go bring the first one for the sin offering and pinch im neck open for the front of the neck, but e no go remove the head. 9 E go splash some of the blood of the sin offering for the side of the altar, but e go allow the remaining blood to come out for the down part of the altar. This one na sin offering. 10 E go handle the other one as offering wey them de burn, according to the normal way wey them de do-am, and the priest go do sacrifice for-am to make-am dey clean from the sin wey e don do, and God go forgive-am.
11 “‘Now if e no fit get two turtledoves or two young pigeons, e must bring the tenth part of e′phah* of better flour* for sin offering as im offering for im sin. Make e no add oil inside or put frankincense ontop-am, because na sin offering. 12 E go bring-am come give the priest, and the priest go take one full hand from inside-am as something wey stand for the whole offering,* and e go burn-am to make smoke comot from ontop the altar, ontop Jehovah offerings wey them make with fire. This one na sin offering. 13 The priest go do sacrifice to make-am clean from the sin wey e don do, anyone of this sins, and God go forgive-am. The offering wey remain go be for the priest, just like the grain offering.’”
14 Jehovah continue to talk to Moses, say: 15 “If person* behave anyhow as e by mistake break the law wey concern the holy things of Jehovah, the person go give Jehovah one ram wey dey well for body from among the animals as offering for the bad thing wey the person do. The value of the ram for silver shekels* na as them don arrange-am according to the shekel wey them de normally use for the holy place.* 16 And e go pay for the sin wey e don do as e break law wey concern the holy place and e go still add one-fifth of the value wey e pay. E go give-am to the priest, so that the priest fit do sacrifice with the ram of the offering for the bad thing wey the person do, for-am to dey clean, then God go forgive-am.
17 “If person* sin as e do any of the things wey Jehovah command say make una no do, even if e no know about-am, im sin go still dey im head and e go answer for im sin. 18 Make e bring one ram wey dey well for body come give the priest from among the animals according to the amount wey them don decide, for the offering for the bad thing wey person do. Then the priest go do sacrifice for the person to make-am dey clean from the bad thing wey e do by mistake and wey e no know before e do-am, and God go forgive-am. 19 This one na offering for the bad thing wey person do. The person don surely sin against Jehovah and the sin dey im head.”
