9 Then Prophet E·li′sha call one of the sons of the prophet and tell-am say: “Use your cloths tie your waist, and make you take this container of oil quick-quick and go Ra′moth-gil′e·ad. 2 When you reach there, make you find Je′hu wey be the son of Je·hosh′a·phat the son of Nim′shi. Make you enter and tell-am make e stand up from among im brothers and make you take-am enter the room wey dey inside-inside. 3 Then make you take the container of oil, pour-am for im head and talk say, ‘This na wetin Jehovah talk: “I de anoint you as king for Israel.”’ Then make you open door and run comot quick-quick.”
4 So the servant of the prophet comot de go Ra′moth-gil′e·ad. 5 When e reach, the people wey de control the army sitdown for there. Then e talk say: “My oga, I get message for you.” So Je′hu ask-am say: “For which one of us?” Then e talk say: “Na for you, my oga.” 6 So Je′hu stand up and enter inside the house; the servant come pour the oil for im head and tell-am say, “This na wetin Jehovah the God of Israel talk: ‘I de anoint you as king for Jehovah people, for Israel. 7 You must kill everybody for the family* of A′hab your lord, and I go punish Jez′e·bel because of the blood of my servants the prophets, and all the servants of Jehovah wey e kill. 8 And everybody for A′hab family go die, and I go kill every man* wey come from A′hab family, even the ones for Israel wey no fit help theirself and wey dey weak. 9 And I go make the family* of A′hab be like the family of Jer·o·bo′am the son of Ne′bat and like the family of Ba′a·sha the son of A·hi′jah. 10 As for Jez′e·bel, dogs go chop-am for the plot of land wey dey Jez′re·el, and nobody go bury-am.’” As e talk-am finish, e open the door and run comot.
11 When Je′hu go back go meet the servants of im lord, them ask-am say: “Everything dey okay so? Why this mad man come meet you?” E answer them say: “Una know the kind person wey that man be and the way e de talk.” 12 But them answer-am say: “Na lie! Abeg tell us wetin e talk.” Then e talk say: “This na wetin e tell me, and another thing wey e still tell me be say, ‘This na wetin Jehovah talk: “I de anoint you as king for Israel.”’” 13 As e talk this one, quick-quick, each of them comot im cloth and spread-am for the step for where im leg dey, and them blow horn and talk say: “Je′hu don be king!” 14 Then Je′hu wey be the son of Je·hosh′a·phat the son of Nim′shi come plan against Je·ho′ram.
Before that time, Je·ho′ram and all Israel people be de protect Ra′moth-gil′e·ad because of King Haz′a·el wey de rule Syria. 15 After, King Je·ho′ram go back to Jez′re·el so that e go well from the wounds wey Syria people wound-am when e fight King Haz′a·el wey de rule Syria.
Je′hu come talk say: “If una dey my side,* make una no let anybody run comot from the city to go talk this thing for Jez′re·el.” 16 Then Je′hu enter im chariot go Jez′re·el because Je·ho′ram be dey there and e lie down because of the wound wey e get, and King A·ha·zi′ah wey de rule Judah don come there to come see Je·ho′ram. 17 As the watchman stand ontop the tower for Jez′re·el, e see the plenty men wey follow Je′hu de come. Quick-quick, e talk say: “I de see plenty men wey de come.” Then Je·ho′ram talk say: “Call one of the soldiers wey de ride horse and tell-am make e go meet them and ask them say, ‘This one wey una de come so, peace dey?’” 18 So one person wey de ride horse go meet Je′hu and ask-am say: “This na wetin the king talk, ‘This one wey una de come so, peace dey?’” But Je′hu ask-am say: “Wetin concern you and ‘peace’? Turn make you de follow me for back!”
Then the watchman talk say: “The person wey you send don meet them but e never come back.” 19 So e send another person wey de ride horse go meet them. When e meet them, e talk say: “This na wetin the king talk, ‘This one wey una de come so, peace dey?’” But Je′hu ask-am say: “Wetin concern you and ‘peace’? Turn make you de follow me for back!”
20 Then the watchman talk say: “E don meet them, but e never come back, and the way the person de ride the chariot just be like when Je′hu the grandson* of Nim′shi de ride chariot, because e de ride like mad man.” 21 Je·ho′ram come talk say: “Make una prepare the chariot!” So them prepare im chariot wey e de use fight war. Then each of the kings, King Je·ho′ram wey de rule Israel and King A·ha·zi′ah wey de rule Judah enter their own chariot wey them use de fight war to go meet Je′hu. Them meet-am for the plot of land wey be Na′both the Jez′re·el person own.
22 As Je·ho′ram just see Je′hu, e ask-am say: “Je′hu, this one wey you de come so, peace dey?” But Je′hu answer-am say: “How peace go dey when your mama Jez′e·bel still de do im prostitute work and de do magic well-well?” 23 Quick-quick, Je·ho′ram turn im chariot make e run, and e tell A·ha·zi′ah say: “A·ha·zi′ah, them don deceive us!” 24 Then Je′hu carry im bow and shoot Je·ho′ram for the middle of im two shoulders, and the arrow come out from im heart, and e fall come die for inside im war chariot. 25 Then e tell Bid′kar wey be im officer say: “Make you carry im dead body troway for the land of Na′both wey be Jez′re·el person. Remember say, me and you be dey the back of A′hab im papa, de ride together,* when Jehovah talk this thing by imself against-am say: 26 ‘“As e be say I see the blood of Na′both and the blood of im sons wey you kill yesterday,” na so Jehovah talk, “I go pay you back for this same plot of land,” na so Jehovah talk.’ So now, make you carry im body, throw-am for the plot of land, just as Jehovah talk.”
27 When A·ha·zi′ah the king of Judah see wetin de happen, e follow the road wey dey near the garden house run. (After, Je′hu pursue-am and talk say: “Make una kill-am too!” So them wound-am for im chariot as e de go Gur, wey dey near Ib′le·am. But e continue to run go reach Me·gid′do, and na there e die. 28 Then im servants use chariot carry-am go Jerusalem, and them bury-am for im grave with im papa-papa them for the City of David. 29 A·ha·zi′ah start to rule as king for Judah for the 11th year of Je·ho′ram the son of A′hab.)
30 When Je′hu reach Jez′re·el, Jez′e·bel hear-am. So e paint im eyes with black paint* and e arrange im hair well and from window de look down. 31 As Je′hu just pass the gate enter, Jez′e·bel talk say: “E better for Zim′ri, the person wey kill im lord?” 32 As Je′hu look up for the side wey the window dey, e talk say: “Na who dey my side? Who?” At once, two or three servants wey get high position for there look-am from the window as e dey down. 33 Then e talk say: “Make una throw-am down!” So them throw Jez′e·bel down and some of im blood splash for the wall and for the horse them, and e use the horse march-am for ground. 34 After e do this one, e enter inside go chop and drink. Then e talk say: “Abeg, make una carry this woman wey them don curse go bury. After all, na king daughter e be.” 35 But when them go make them bury-am, them no see anything apart from im skull, im feet, and the palms of im hand. 36 When them come back come tell-am, e talk say: “Wetin Jehovah use im servant, E·li′jah wey be Tish′beh person talk don happen, e talk say, ‘Na for the plot of land wey dey for Jez′re·el, dogs go chop Jez′e·bel body. 37 And Jez′e·bel dead body go be like manure for the farm wey dey the plot of land for Jez′re·el, so that people no go talk say: “This na Jez′e·bel.”’”
