The Second of Kings
25 For the ninth year wey Zed·e·ki′ah don de rule, for the tenth month, for the tenth day of the month, Neb·u·chad·nez′zar wey be king of Babylon come with all im soldiers to attack Jerusalem. E set camp to attack-am and build wall to surround-am, 2 and e surround the city until the 11th year of King Zed·e·ki′ah. 3 For the ninth day of the fourth month when the hunger wey dey the city don serious well-well and food no dey for the people of the land, 4 Chal·de′a people break the wall enter, and for night all the soldiers pass the gate wey dey the middle of the two walls wey near the king garden run comot, and that time Chal·de′a people surround the city; and the king follow the road wey go Ar′a·bah run comot. 5 But Chal·de′a soldiers pursue the king, and them catch-am for the level lands wey dey the desert of Jer′i·cho, and all im soldiers run leave-am. 6 Then, them hold the king and carry-am come meet the king of Babylon for Rib′lah, them come talk wetin them go do-am. 7 Them kill Zed·e·ki′ah sons for im front, then Neb·u·chad·nez′zar blind Zed·e·ki′ah eyes, chain-am with copper chains, and carry-am come Babylon.
8 For the fifth month, for the seventh day of the month, wey be, for the 19th year of Neb·u·chad·nez′zar wey be king of Babylon, the servant of the king of Babylon, Neb·u′zar·ad′an wey be the oga of the guards come Jerusalem. 9 E burn the house of Jehovah, the king house,* and all the house wey dey Jerusalem; e still burn the house of anybody wey be big man. 10 And all the Chal·de′a army wey dey with Neb·u′zar·ad′an wey be the oga of the guards, scatter the whole wall wey surround Jerusalem for ground. 11 Neb·u′zar·ad′an wey be the oga of the guards, carry the people wey remain for the city comot as slaves, the people wey be don dey the side of the king of Babylon and all the other people. 12 But the oga of the guards leave some of the people wey poor pass for the land, so that them go be people wey de work for vine farms, and people wey them force to work. 13 And the Chal·de′a people pieces the copper pillars wey dey the house of Jehovah, and the things wey be like truck wey them de use carry load, and the Sea wey them use copper make wey dey the house of Jehovah, and them carry the copper go Babylon. 14 Them still carry the containers, the shovels, the things wey them de use quench fire, the cups, and all the things wey them make with copper, wey them de use do temple work. 15 The oga of the guards carry the things wey them use de carry charcoal fire, and the bowls wey them make with correct gold and silver. 16 As for the two pillars, the Sea, and the things wey be like truck wey them de use carry load, wey Sol′o·mon make for the house of Jehovah, the copper wey them use make all this things plenty sotey them no fit measure-am. 17 Each pillar high reach 18 cubits,* and na copper them use make the thing wey dey ontop-am wey them de call capital, and the capital high reach three cubits, and na copper them use make the thing wey be like net and the pomegranates* wey dey round the capital. The second pillar with the thing wey be like net wey dey ontop-am just be like-am.
18 The oga of the guards still carry Se·rai′ah wey be the chief priest, Zeph·a·ni′ah wey be the second priest, and the three people wey be de watch the doors. 19 And from the city, e carry one servant wey get high position wey be officer wey dey in charge of the soldiers, and five tight friends of the king wey them see for the city, and the secretary of the person wey de control the army, wey be the person wey de gather the soldiers for the land, plus 60 ordinary men of the land wey them see for the city. 20 Neb·u′zar·ad′an the person wey de control the guards carry them and bring them come meet the king of Babylon for Rib′lah. 21 The king of Babylon kill them for Rib′lah for the land of Ha′math. Na so them take carry Judah people comot from their land as slaves.
22 Neb·u·chad·nez′zar wey be king of Babylon choose Ged·a·li′ah the son of A·hi′kam the son of Sha′phan to control the people wey e leave for the land of Judah. 23 When all the people wey de control the army and their soldiers hear say the king of Babylon don choose Ged·a·li′ah, quick-quick, them come meet Ged·a·li′ah for Miz′pah. The people wey come meet-am na Ish′ma·el wey be the son of Neth·a·ni′ah, Jo·ha′nan the son of Ka·re′ah, Se·rai′ah the son of Tan·hu′meth wey be Ne·to′phah person, and Ja·az·a·ni′ah the son of the Ma·ac′a·th person, plus their soldiers. 24 Ged·a·li′ah swear and promise them and their soldiers say: “Make una no fear to be servants of Chal·de′a people. 25 For the seventh month, Ish′ma·el the son of Neth·a·ni′ah the son of E·lish′a·ma, wey come from king family,* come with ten other men, and them chuk Ged·a·li′ah, and e die, with the Jew people and Chal·de′a people wey dey with-am for Miz′pah. 26 After that one, all the people, whether na small person or na big person, plus all the people wey de control the army, comot go Egypt, because them de fear Chal·de′a people.
27 For the 37th year wey Je·hoi′a·chin wey be king of Judah don dey Babylon as slave, for the 12th month, for the 27th day of the month, for the year wey E′vil-mer′o·dach wey be king of Babylon start to rule as king, e release* Je·hoi′a·chin wey be king of Judah from prison. 28 E treat-am well and make im throne high pass the thrones of the other kings wey dey with-am for Babylon. 29 So Je·hoi′a·chin comot im prison cloths, and na all the time e de chop for the king table for all the days of im life. 30 E get the amount of food wey the king command say make them de give-am everyday for all the days of im life.
