The First Book of Chronicles
9 Them write the names of all Israel people according to their families, and them write them for the Book of the Kings of Israel. And them carry Judah people go Babylon as slaves because of their sins. 2 The first people wey come back to their place for their cities na some Israel people, the priests, the Levites, and the temple servants.* 3 And some of the children-children of Judah, Benjamin, E′phra·im, and Ma·nas′seh start to live for Jerusalem. Them be: 4 U′thai wey be son of Am·mi′hud son of Om′ri son of Im′ri son of Ba′ni, this men na the children-children of Pe′rez wey be son of Judah. 5 And the ones from the family of Shi′loh na, A·sai′ah wey be the firstborn and im sons. 6 And the ones wey come out from among the sons of Ze′rah na, Je·u′el and 690 of their brothers.
7 And the people wey come from among the children-children of Benjamin na, Sal′lu wey be son of Me·shul′lam son of Hod·a·vi′ah son of Has·se·nu′ah, 8 Ib·ne′iah son of Je·ro′ham, E′lah son of Uz′zi wey be son of Mich′ri, and Me·shul′lam son of Sheph·a·ti′ah son of Reu′el son of Ib·ni′jah. 9 And their brothers wey them come from the same family na 956. All this men na heads of their family groups from their papa side.*
10 And from among the priests, the people wey come na, Je·da′iah, Je·hoi′a·rib, Ja′chin, 11 Az·a·ri′ah wey be son of Hil·ki′ah son of Me·shul′lam son of Za′dok son of Me·ra′ioth son of A·hi′tub, im na leader for the house* of the true God, 12 A·dai′ah wey be son of Je·ro′ham son of Pash′hur son of Mal·chi′jah, Ma′a·sai wey be son of Ad′i·el son of Jah′ze·rah son of Me·shul′lam son of Me·shil′le·mith son of Im′mer, 13 and their brothers, wey be heads of family groups from their papa side na 1,760 strong men wey qualify and dey ready to work for the house of the true God.
14 And the people wey come from among the Levites na, She·mai′ah wey be son of Has′shub son of Az·ri′kam son of Hash·a·bi′ah wey come from among the children-children of Me·rar′i; 15 and Bak·bak′kar, He′resh, Ga′lal, Mat·ta·ni′ah wey be son of Mi′ca son of Zich′ri son of A′saph, 16 O·ba·di′ah wey be son of She·mai′ah son of Ga′lal son of Je·du′thun, and Ber·e·chi′ah wey be son of A′sa son of El·ka′nah, wey be de live for one of the villages of Ne·to′phah people.
17 The gatemen na Shal′lum, Ak′kub, Tal′mon, A·hi′man, and their brother Shal′lum be their oga, 18 and until that time, e be dey the king gate wey face the east side. Na this people be the gatemen for the camp of the Levites. 19 And Shal′lum wey be son of Ko′re son of E·bi′a·saph son of Kor′ah, and im brothers, wey come from im family group from im papa side, and wey come from the family of Kor′ah, de control the work of the people wey de watch the door of the tent, and na their papa them be de care for the camp of Jehovah as people wey de watch the place wey them take de enter-am. 20 Na Phin′e·has wey be the son of El·e·a′zar be their leader before-before; and Jehovah be dey with-am. 21 Na Zech·a·ri′ah wey be the son of Me·shel·e·mi′ah be the gateman wey de watch the place wey them take de enter the tent of meeting.
22 All the people wey them select as gatemen to guard the different-different place wey them take de enter na 212. Them be de stay for their villages according to how them write their names for their family register. David, and Samuel wey de see vision choose them to do their work as people wey them trust. 23 Na them and their sons dey in charge of the work to guard the gates for the house of Jehovah, wey be the house of the tents. 24 The gatemen be dey for the four sides—east, west, north, and south. 25 From time to time, their brothers de come from their villages to come work with them for seven days. 26 Four oga of gatemen be dey wey de do the work of people wey them fit trust. 28 Na some of them de care for the things wey them de use do the work. When them bring the things, them go count them and when them de take them comot, them go still count them. 29 Them choose some of them to care for the other things wey them de use do the work, to care for all the holy things wey them de use work, and to care for the better flour,* the wine, the oil, the frankincense, and the balsam oil. 30 Some of the sons of the priests de mix the cream wey them use balsam oil make. 31 And Mat·ti·thi′ah wey be Levite, wey be the firstborn of Shal′lum wey come from the family of Kor′ah, de care for the things wey them use pan bake, wey still be work of people wey them fit trust. 32 Some of their brothers wey come from the family of Ko′hath de care for the layer bread,* to prepare-am every sabbath day.
33 Na this people de sing, them be heads of the family groups from the papa side of the Levites wey dey for the rooms.* Them no give this people another work, because them suppose de do their work for daytime and for night. 34 Na this people be the heads of the family groups of the Levites for their papa side, according to how them write-am for their family register. And na Jerusalem them de stay.
35 Je·i′el wey be Gib′e·on papa, be de live for Gib′e·on. Im wife name na Ma′a·cah. 36 And im firstborn son na Ab′don, and the ones wey follow-am na Zur, Kish, Ba′al, Ner, Na′dab, 37 Ge′dor, A·hi′o, Zech·a·ri′ah, and Mik′loth. 38 Mik′loth come be Shim′e·am papa. And all of them stay near their brothers for Jerusalem, with their other brothers. 39 Ner come be Kish papa; Kish come be Saul papa; Saul come be the papa of Jon′a·than, Mal′chi-shu′a, A·bin′a·dab, and Esh·ba′al. 40 And Jon′a·than son na Mer′ib-ba′al. Mer′ib-ba′al come be Mi′cah papa. 41 The sons of Mi′cah na Pi′thon, Mel′ech, Tahr′e·a, and A′haz. 42 A′haz come be Ja′rah papa; Ja′rah come be the papa of Al′e·meth, Az′ma·veth, and Zim′ri. Zim′ri come be Mo′za papa. 43 Mo′za come be Bin′e·a papa and Bin′e·a son na Re·pha′iah, Re·pha′iah son na El·e·a′sah, El·e·a′sah son na A′zel. 44 A′zel get six sons, and their names na Az·ri′kam, Bo′che·ru, Ish′ma·el, She·a·ri′ah, O·ba·di′ah, and Ha′nan. Na this people be the sons of A′zel.
