14 Then A·bi′jah die like im papa-papa them, and them bury-am for the City of David; and im son A′sa start to rule as king after-am. For im time, the land come get peace* for ten years.
2 A′sa do wetin good and correct for the eyes of Jehovah im God. 3 E comot the altars of the gods of other nations and the high place* them, e pieces the idol pillars, and e scatter the idol poles.* 4 Another thing be say, e tell Judah people to find Jehovah, the God of their papa-papa them, and to follow the Law and the commandment. 5 Na so e remove the high place them and the things wey them de put incense ontop from all the cities of Judah, and as e de rule, the kingdom continue to get peace. 6 E build cities wey get strong protection for Judah since peace dey the land, and nobody de fight war against-am for all those years because Jehovah give-am peace.* 7 E tell Judah people say: “Make we build cities and surround-am with walls, towers, gates,* and bars. As e be say the lands still dey our hand because we don find Jehovah our God. We don find-am and e don give us peace* everywhere.” So them succeed for wetin them de build.
8 A′sa get 300,000 soldiers from Judah, wey get big shields and lance* them. And from the tribe of Benjamin, them be 280,000 strong soldiers wey carry small shields* and still carry bows.
9 After, Ze′rah wey be E·thi·o′pi·a person come fight against them with 1,000,000 soldiers and 300 chariots. When e reach Ma·re′shah, 10 A′sa go meet-am and them arrange theirself to fight for the Lowland* of Zeph′a·thah wey dey Ma·re′shah. 11 A′sa beg Jehovah im God and talk say: “O Jehovah, e no matter for you whether people wey you de help plenty or them no get power. Help us, O Jehovah our God, because na you we trust, and na your name we use come fight this plenty people. O Jehovah, na you be our God. Make you no allow ordinary man win you.”
12 So Jehovah win E·thi·o′pi·a people for front of A′sa and Judah people, and E·thi·o′pi·a people run. 13 A′sa and the people wey dey with-am pursue them sotey them reach Ge′rar, and E·thi·o′pi·a people continue to fall and de die until them die finish, because Jehovah and im army don destroy all of them. After that one, Judah people go carry plenty-plenty of the things wey them leave. 14 Another thing be say, them destroy all the cities wey surround Ge′rar, because Jehovah make the people fear; and Judah people pack things from all the cities, because plenty things to pack dey inside the cities. 15 Them still attack the tents of people wey get animals, and them carry plenty-plenty sheep and camels, after that one, them come back to Jerusalem.
