Leviticus
27 Jehovah continue to talk to Moses say: 2 “Talk to Israel people and tell them say, ‘If person make special promise to give Jehovah the amount wey them don decide for person,* 3 the amount wey them don decide for man wey dey between 20 to 60 years for age go be 50 shekels* of silver according to the shekel wey them de normally use for the holy place.* 4 But if na woman, the amount wey them don decide go be 30 shekels. 5 If the age na from 5 to 20 years, the amount wey them don decide for man go be 20 shekels and 10 shekels for woman. 6 If the age na from one month go reach five years, the amount wey them don decide for man go be five shekels of silver and three shekels of silver for woman.
7 “‘If the age na from 60 years go up, the amount wey them don decide go be 15 shekels for man and 10 shekels for woman. 8 But if the man dey too poor to pay the amount wey them don decide, the person go stand for front of the priest, and the priest go talk the value wey the person go pay. The priest go talk the value according to wetin the person wey de make the promise fit pay.
9 “‘If the vow* na about animal wey dey okay to give as offering to Jehovah, anything wey them go give to Jehovah go come be something wey dey holy. 10 E no fit replace the animal or change animal wey good with the one wey bad or the one wey bad with the one wey good. But if e go change the animal with another animal, the one wey first dey and the one wey e change-am with, two of them go come dey holy. 11 If na animal wey no dey clean, wey them no fit give as offering to Jehovah, e go come keep the animal to stand for front of the priest. 12 The priest go come talk the value of the animal, whether e good or e bad. The amount wey them don decide wey the priest talk, na wetin e go be. 13 But if e ever want buy the animal back, e must give one fifth of the value of the animal plus the amount wey them don decide.
14 “‘Now if person keep im house separate* as something wey dey holy to give Jehovah, the priest go talk the value of the house, whether e good or e bad. The cost of the house go be according to the value wey the priest talk. 15 But if the person wey give im house as holy thing want buy-am back, e must give one fifth of the money for the house plus the amount wey them don decide for-am and e go come be im own.
16 “‘If person keep some of im land separate* to give Jehovah, the value go be according to the seed wey them fit plant for the land: one ho′mer* of barley seed go be 50 shekels of silver. 17 If na from the year of Jubilee e separate im land* to give God, the amount wey them don decide go still be the same. 18 If na after the Jubilee e separate im land* to give God, the priest go calculate the price for-am according to how many years wey still remain before the next year of Jubilee, and make e minus-am from the amount wey them don decide. 19 But if the person wey give im land as holy thing want buy-am back, e must give one fifth of the money of the land plus the amount wey them don decide, and e go continue to be im own. 20 Now if the person no buy the land back, and them sell the land to another man, e no go fit buy the land back again. 21 When them don free the land for Jubilee, e go be something wey dey holy to Jehovah, as something wey them keep separate for-am. E go come be priests property.
22 “‘If person buy land and keep-am separate* to give Jehovah, but the land no be part of the one wey e inherit as im property, 23 the priest go calculate for the person the amount of the land from that time go reach the year of Jubilee, and e go talk the amount wey them don decide, that same day. Na something wey dey holy to Jehovah. 24 For the year of Jubilee, the land go go back to the person wey e buy-am from, to the person wey get the land.
25 “‘Them go calculate all the value according to the shekel wey them de normally use for the holy place. The shekel go be 20 ge′rahs.*
26 “‘But as for the firstborn of animals, make nobody keep-am separate to give God, since them born-am as firstborn for Jehovah, whether bull or sheep, e don already be Jehovah own. 27 If the animal dey among the animals wey no dey clean, and the owner buy-am back according to the amount wey them don decide, make e give one fifth of the value plus the amount wey them don decide. But if e no buy-am back, them go sell-am according to the amount wey them don decide.
28 “‘But if from the things wey person get, e keep something separate to give-am forever* to Jehovah, e no fit sell-am or buy-am back, whether na from person or animals or the land wey e get. Everything wey them keep separate to give God na something wey really holy to Jehovah. 29 Another thing be say, anybody wey them don condemn,* person wey them keep separate for destruction, them no fit buy-am back. Make them no fail to kill-am.
30 “‘Every tenth part* of the land, whether na from the things wey the land produce or fruit from the trees, na Jehovah get-am. Na something wey dey holy to Jehovah. 31 If person ever want buy back any of im tenth part, make e give one fifth of the value plus the amount wey them don decide. 32 As for every tenth part of cow and goat and sheep, everything wey shepherd de use im stick count, the tenth animal* go be something wey dey holy to Jehovah. 33 Make e no check whether e good or e bad, and make e no change-am. But if e go ever try to change-am, both the one wey first dey and the one wey e change-am with go come be something wey dey holy. Them no fit buy-am back.’”
34 This one na the commandments wey Jehovah give Moses for Mount Si′nai for Israel people.
