Ecclesiastes 6:1-12

Ecclesiastes

6 E get another problem* wey I don see under the sun, and e de happen plenty times to people: 2 The true God give person money and property and glory, make e no de lack anything wey e want;* even with that one the true God no de make-am fit enjoy them, even though say stranger fit enjoy them. This one dey useless and na really serious suffer. 3 Even if man become papa 100 times and live for many years and e old, but e* no enjoy the good things wey e get before e enter grave,* I go talk say pikin wey die for belle* better pass-am. 4 True-true, this one come for nothing and e dey inside darkness when e de comot, and darkness cover im name. 5 Even though say e no ever see sun or know anything, e still better* pass the other man. 6 Which gain dey for person to live for 2,000 years but e no enjoy imself? No be the same place everybody de go?

7 All the hard work wey person de do na to put food for im mouth; even with that one, e* no de ever belleful for the things wey e want. 8 So person wey get sense get any gain pass person wey dey stupid? Or which gain poor man get as e know how to survive?* 9 E better for person to enjoy wetin im eye see than to de waka de follow the things wey e want.* This one dey useless too, na breeze person de run follow.

10 Anything wey don dey, don already get name, and wetin man be, don already dey clear; and e no fit argue* with person wey get power pass-am. 11 The more person de talk,* the more useless things de come out; and which gain this one de bring for man? 12 Who know the best thing wey man go do for life for the short time* wey e go live im useless life wey be like shadow? And who fit tell man wetin go happen under the sun after e don go?
