11 Then Jehovah tell Moses and Aaron say: 2 “Tell Israel people say, ‘Na this things wey get life for the earth* una fit chop: 3 Una fit chop every animal wey im foot divide and get open space inside-am and wey de bring back food wey e don swallow to chew-am.

4 “‘But make una no ever chop this animals wey de bring back wetin them don swallow to chew-am or wey their foot divide: camel, wey de bring back wetin e don swallow to chew-am, but wey no get foot wey divide well. E no dey clean for una. 5 And rock badger,* because e de bring back wetin e don swallow to chew-am, but im foot no divide. E no dey clean for una. 6 And hare,* because e de bring back wetin e don swallow to chew-am, but im foot no divide. E no dey clean for una. 7 And pig, because im foot divide and e get open space inside-am, but e no de bring back wetin e don swallow to chew-am. E no dey clean for una. 8 Make una no ever chop any of their flesh or touch their dead body. Them no dey clean for una.

9 “‘Na this things una fit chop from everything inside water: Anything inside water wey get fins and scales, whether inside sea or inside river, una fit chop-am. 10 But anything for inside sea and for inside river wey no get fins and scales, for all the groups of small-small animals and all the other things* wey get life wey dey inside water, na something wey dirty for una. 11 True-true, na dirty things them go be for una, and make una no chop any of their flesh and their dead body must be dirty thing for una. 12 Everything for inside water wey no get fins and scales na something wey really dirty for una.

13 “‘This ones na the things wey de fly wey una go see as something wey really dirty; make una no chop them because them dirty: eagle, osprey bird, black vulture, 14 red kite and all kind of black kite, 15 all kind of raven, 16 ostrich, owl, gull bird, and all kind of falcon bird, 17 the small owl, cormorant bird, owl wey get long ear, 18 swan bird, pelican bird, vulture, 19 stork bird, all kind of heron bird, hoopoe bird, and bat. 20 Everything wey get wings and dey for groups,* wey get four legs to waka, na something wey really dirty for una.

21 “‘Among the things wey get wings and wey dey for groups and wey get four legs to waka, una fit chop only the ones wey their legs wey them de use jump for ground join and high pass their other legs.* 22 Una fit chop this ones: different-different kind of locust wey de move from one place to another place, other locusts wey them de chop, crickets, and grasshoppers. 23 All the other things wey get wings and wey dey for groups, and wey get four legs na something wey dirty for una. 24 With this ones, una go make unaself no dey clean. Everybody wey de touch them no go dey clean. 27 Everything wey get life wey de waka with the flat part wey dey under their leg* among the animals wey de waka with four legs, no dey clean for una. Everybody wey de touch their dead body no go dey clean till evening. 28 Anybody wey carry their dead body go wash im cloths and the person no go dey clean till evening. Them no dey clean for una.

So make una no ever use any of the things wey dey as group wey de move for the earth to make unaself* no dey clean. 45 I be Jehovah wey de carry una comot from the land of Egypt to show say I be una God, and una must dey holy, because I dey holy.

46 “‘This one na the law about the animals, the things wey de fly, everything* wey get life wey de move inside water, and about everything* wey dey for big groups for the earth, 47 so that difference go dey between something wey no clean and something wey clean, and between things wey get life wey them fit chop and the ones wey them no fit chop.’”
