25 “When two men get quarrel, make them go meet the judges, and them go judge them and talk say the person wey no do bad dey innocent and them go hold the wicked person for the bad wey e do. 2 If them suppose flog the wicked person, the judge go tell-am make e lie down face ground, and them go flog-am for front of the judge. The number of strokes wey them go give-am go be according to the wicked thing wey e do. 3 E go flog-am 40 strokes, but make e no pass. If e continue to flog-am pass this number of strokes, this one go bring disgrace to your brother for your front.

4 “When you de use bull de separate grain, make you no cover im mouth.

5 “If brothers de live for one place and one of them die when e no get son, make the wife of the one wey die no marry another person from outside the family. Make im brother-in-law go meet-am, take-am as im wife, and do brother-in-law marriage with-am. 6 The first pikin wey the woman go born go continue the name of im brother wey don die, so that im name no go wipe comot from Israel.

7 “Now if the man no want marry im brother widow, then make im brother widow go meet the elders for the city gate and talk say, ‘My husband brother no gree continue im brother name for Israel. E no gree do brother-in-law marriage with me.’ 8 The elders of im city must call-am and talk to-am. If e continue to talk say, ‘I no want marry-am,’ 9 then make im brother widow meet-am for front of the elders, remove im sandals from im leg, spit for im face, and talk say, ‘This one na wetin them suppose do to man wey no gree continue the family line of im brother.’ 10 After that one, them go know im family name* for Israel as ‘The house of the person wey them remove im sandal.’

11 “If two men start to fight with each other, and the wife of one of them enter the fight to protect im husband from the one wey de hit-am and the woman stretch im hand and hold the man for im private part, 12 you must cut the woman hand comot. Make you* no feel sorry for-am.

13 “Make you no get two different stone weight for inside your bag, one big one and one small one. 14 Make you no get two different measuring containers* for your house, one big one and one small one. 15 Make you get correct and exact weight and correct and exact measurement, so that you go live long for the land wey Jehovah your God de give you. 16 Because any cunning-cunning person wey de do this kind things, Jehovah your God really hate-am.

17 “Remember wetin Am′a·lek do you when you dey road as una de come from Egypt, 18 how e meet you for road and attack all the people wey de waka small-small for your back when you don tire and dey weak. E no fear God. 19 When Jehovah your God don give you rest from all your enemies wey dey around you for the land wey Jehovah your God de give you as your own property, make you remove Am′a·lek finish from the earth.* Make you no ever forget.
