4 And again I start to think about all the suffer wey people de suffer other people for under the sun. I see the tears of the people wey de suffer, and nobody dey to comfort them. And the people wey de suffer them get power, and nobody dey to comfort them. 2 And I don see say e better for people wey don already die than for people wey still dey alive. 3 And the person wey even better pass the two of them na person wey them never even born, wey never see the bad-bad things wey people de do under the sun.

4 And I don see how people de use all their power* and the things wey them sabi do to show say them better pass other people; this one dey useless too, na breeze person de run follow.

5 Stupid person de fold im hand as im flesh de waste de go.*

6 Small rest* better pass plenty hard work* and to de run follow breeze.

7 I start to think about another example of useless thing wey de happen under the sun: 8 E get one man wey dey alone, wey no get any friend; e no get son or brother, but all the hard work wey e de do no de end. Money and property no de ever belleful-am.* But e don ever ask imself say, ‘Who I de even work hard for and why I no de allow myself* to enjoy good things’? This one dey useless too and na suffer-head work.

9 Two people better pass one person because them de get better reward* for their hard work. 10 Because if one of them fall, the other person fit help im partner get up. But wetin go happen to the person wey fall and nobody dey to help-am get up?

11 Apart from that one, if two people lie down together, them go dey warm, but how only one person go fit dey warm? 12 And somebody fit win only one person, but two people together go fit stand against-am. And three ropes wey them twist together as one no go quick* cut.

13 Pikin wey poor but get sense better pass king wey old but dey stupid, wey no get enough sense again to follow warning. 14 Because e* comot from prison to be king, even though say them born-am as poor person when that one de rule as king. 15 I don think about all the people wey dey alive wey de waka up and down under the sun, and about how things de go with the young person wey take over and wey stand up for the place of the other person. 16 Even though say all the people wey de support-am no de finish, people wey go later come no go happy with-am. This one dey useless too, na breeze person de run follow.
