31 Then Jehovah tell Moses say: 2 “Punish Mid′i·an people for Israel people. After, them go bury you just as them bury your people.”*

3 So Moses tell the people say: “Prepare men from among una wey go fight* against Mid′i·an people and wey go give Mid′i·an people the punishment from Jehovah. 4 Make una send 1,000 from each tribe for all the tribes of Israel to join the army.” 5 So from the thousands of Israel people, them take 1,000 from each tribe, 12,000 people wey don ready to fight.*

6 Then Moses send them comot, 1,000 people from each tribe to join the army, together with Phin′e·has the son of El·e·a′zar the priest for the army, wey the holy things dey with and wey the war trumpet dey for im hand. 7 Them fight war against Mid′i·an, just as Jehovah don command Moses and them kill all the men. 8 Together with the other people wey them kill, them kill the kings of Mid′i·an people, wey be, E′vi, Re′kem, Zur, Hur, and Re′ba, the five kings of Mid′i·an people. Them still kill Ba′laam the son of Be′or with sword. 9 But Israel people carry the women and the children of Mid′i·an people go. Them still carry all their animals wey fit live with people, and all their other animals, and everything wey them get. 10 And all their cities wey them be de stay inside and all their camps,* them burn them with fire. 11 And them take all the things wey them don gather and all the property, both people and animals. 12 Then them bring the people wey them carry, the property, and the things wey them gather come meet Moses and El·e·a′zar the priest and the people of Israel, for the camp wey dey the level lands for the desert of Mo′ab near River Jordan for Jer′i·cho.

13 Then Moses and El·e·a′zar the priest and all the chiefs of the people comot go meet them for outside the camp. 14 But Moses start to vex for the men wey them choose to dey in charge of the people wey go fight, people wey de control one-one thousand soldiers and the people wey de control hundred-hundred soldiers wey de come back from the war. 15 Moses tell them say: “Una allow all the women to dey alive? 16 See! Na them be the people wey follow wetin Ba′laam talk and cause Israel people to do wetin show say them no dey faithful to Jehovah for the matter wey concern Pe′or, wey make Jehovah people face the punishment. 17 Now make you kill all the men among the children and kill all the women wey don sleep with man. 18 But make you leave all the young girls alive wey never sleep with man. 19 And make una stay outside the camp for seven days, all of una wey don kill person* and everybody among una wey don touch person wey them kill go make imself dey clean for the third day and the seventh day, una and the people wey una carry. 20 And every cloth, everything wey them make from leather, everything wey them make with goat hair, and everything wey them make with wood, make una make-am dey clean from sin.”

21 Then El·e·a′zar the priest tell the men wey dey the army wey go fight the war say: “This one na wetin the law wey Jehovah command Moses talk, 22 ‘Na only the gold, the silver, the copper, the iron, the tin, and the lead, 23 everything wey fire no fit spoil, make una pass-am through fire, and e go dey clean. But, make una still make-am dey clean with water wey una de use clean things and people. Everything wey fire fit spoil, make una use the water wash-am. 24 And make una wash una cloths for the seventh day and dey clean, then una fit come inside the camp.’”

25 Then Jehovah tell Moses say: 26 “Write list of the things wey una carry from the enemies, count both the people and the animals wey una carry; do this one together with El·e·a′zar the priest and the heads of the family groups among the people. 27 Divide wetin una carry from the enemies to two parts, wey una go share between people wey dey the army wey go fight the war and all the rest of the people. 28 Make you take from the soldiers wey go fight the war, one soul* out of every 500, from the people, the cows, the donkeys, and the sheep and goats, as tax for Jehovah. 29 Make you take-am from the half wey them give them and give-am to El·e·a′zar the priest as Jehovah contribution. 30 From the half wey them give Israel people, make you take one out of 50 from the people, the cows, the donkeys, the sheep and goats, and all kind of animals wey fit live with people, and give them to the Levites wey de care for the work wey concern Jehovah tabernacle.”

31 So Moses and El·e·a′zar the priest do just as Jehovah don command Moses. 32 The things wey them gather from their enemies, the rest of the property wey the people wey go fight the war don carry na 675,000 sheep and goats, 33 72,000 cows, 34 and 61,000 donkeys. 35 The women wey never sleep with man na 32,000 women.* 36 The half wey them give as share to people wey go fight the war na 337,500 sheep and goats. 37 The tax wey them give Jehovah from the sheep and goats na 675. 38 And 36,000 cows dey, and the tax for them wey them give Jehovah na 72. 39 And 30,500 donkeys dey, and the tax for them wey them give Jehovah na 61. 40 And 16,000 people* dey, and the tax for them wey them give Jehovah na 32 people.* 41 Then Moses give the tax as Jehovah contribution to El·e·a′zar the priest, just as Jehovah don command Moses.

42 From the half wey Israel people get, wey Moses don divide from the part wey the men wey go fight the war get, 43 for that half, the number of sheep and goats na 337,500, 44 and the number of cows na 36,000, 45 and the number of donkeys na 30,500, 46 and the number of people* na 16,000. 47 Then from the half wey Israel people get, Moses take one out of 50, from the people and from the animals, and give them to the Levites wey de care for the work for Jehovah tabernacle, just as Jehovah don command Moses.

48 Then the men wey them choose to control the thousands of army, the people wey de control one-one thousand soldiers and the people wey de control hundred-hundred soldiers, come meet Moses, 49 and them tell Moses say: “Your servants don count the men wey fight war wey dey under our command, and nobody among them de miss from us. 50 So make each of us bring wetin e don get as Jehovah offering, things wey them make with gold, ankle chains, bangles, special rings, earrings, and other jewelry, so that we* go fit get forgiveness for front of Jehovah.”

51 So Moses and El·e·a′zar the priest accept the gold from them, all the jewelry. 52 All the gold of the contribution wey them give Jehovah na 16,750 shekels,* from the people wey de control one-one thousand soldiers and the people wey de control hundred-hundred soldiers. 53 Each of the men for the army don get their own share for the property. 54 Moses and El·e·a′zar the priest accept the gold from the people wey de control one-one thousand soldiers and the people wey de control hundred-hundred soldiers and bring-am come inside the tent of meeting as something wey go de remind Israel people* for front of Jehovah.
