15 After that one, Jehovah tell A′bram for vision say: “Make you no fear A′bram, I go protect you.* Your reward go really big.” 2 A′bram answer say: “Jehovah the Lord Wey High Pass, wetin you go give me as I dey like this wey I no get pikin, and the person wey go inherit my house na E·li·e′zer, man from Damascus?” 3 A′bram still talk say: “You no give me any pikin,* and one person* for my house go inherit my property.” 4 But see! The answer wey Jehovah give-am na, “This man no go inherit your property, but na your own son* go inherit your property.”
5 So e bring A′bram outside and talk say: “Abeg, look up for heaven and count the stars, if you fit count them.” Then e tell-am say: “Na so your children* go be.” 6 And A′bram put faith for Jehovah, and E see* A′bram as righteous person. 7 E still talk say: “I be Jehovah wey bring you come out from Ur, the land of Chal·deʹa people, to give you this land as your own.” 8 So e talk say: “Jehovah the Lord Wey High Pass, wetin go make me know say I go get this land as my own?” 9 Then e tell-am say: “Take one bull wey dey three years for me, together with one female goat wey dey three years, one ram wey dey three years, one turtledove, and one young pigeon.” 10 So e take all of them and cut them into two parts, and put each part opposite the other part,* but e no cut the birds. 11 So birds wey de chop flesh start to come down to chop the dead body of the animals, but A′bram continue to drive them comot.
12 When sun want start to come down, deep sleep carry A′bram and one serious darkness wey make-am fear cover-am. 13 Then E tell A′bram say: “Make you know for sure say your children* go be strangers for one land wey no be their own, and the people for there go make them slave and suffer them for 400 years. 14 But I go judge the nation wey them go serve as slave, and after, them go comot with plenty better things. 15 As for you, you go die with peace of mind and them go bury you with your papa-papa them, after you don live better long life. 16 But your great-grandchildren go come back here, because the time to punish Am′or·ite people for their sin never reach.”
17 When the sun don come down and everywhere don really dark, one big fire wey de burn with smoke appear, and one stick wey get fire pass between the pieces of meat. 18 For that day, Jehovah make agreement with A′bram say: “I go give this land to your children,* from the river of Egypt go reach the great river, River Eu·phra′tes: 19 the land of Ken′ite people, Keʹnaz people, Kad′mon·ite people, 20 Hitʹtite people, Per′iz·zite people, Reph′a·im people, 21 Am′or·ite people, Ca′naan people, Gir′gash people, and Jeʹbus people.”
