The Second of Kings

E tell-am say: 4 “Go up go meet Hil·ki′ah the high priest, and tell-am make e collect all the money wey people don bring come Jehovah house, wey the people wey de watch the doors don collect from the people. 5 Tell them make them give the money to the people wey them don choose to take care of the work for the house of Jehovah, and this people go give-am to the people wey de work for the house of Jehovah, wey go repair the place them wey don spoil* for the house. 6 The people wey them go give the money na, people wey sabi use hand make things, the builders, and the bricklayers; and them go use the money buy timbers and stones wey them don cut, to repair the house. 7 But make them no ask them how them spend the money wey them give them, because them be people wey them fit trust.”
8 After, Hil·ki′ah wey be high priest tell Sha′phan wey be secretary say: “I don see the book of the Law for the house of Jehovah.” So Hil·ki′ah give Sha′phan the book and e start to read-am. 9 Then Sha′phan wey be secretary go meet the king and tell-am say: “Your servants don collect* the money wey them see for the house, and them don carry-am give the people wey them choose to take care of the work for the house of Jehovah.” 10 Sha′phan wey be secretary still tell the king say: “E get one book wey Hil·ki′ah wey be priest give me.” Then Sha′phan start to read the book for the king front.
11 As the king just hear wetin them write for the book of the Law, e tear im cloths. 12 Then the king command Hil·ki′ah wey be priest, A·hi′kam wey be son of Sha′phan, Ach′bor wey be son of Mi·cai′ah, Sha′phan wey be secretary, and A·sai′ah wey be the king servant say: 13 “Make una go ask Jehovah for me, for the people, and for all Judah people about the things wey them write for this book wey them see; because Jehovah de vex for us well-well, like fire wey de burn. This na because our papa-papa them no obey the things wey them write for this book. Them no follow everything wey them write about us.”
14 So Hil·ki′ah wey be priest, A·hi′kam, Ach′bor, Sha′phan, and A·sai′ah go meet Hul′dah wey be woman prophet. This woman na the wife of Shal′lum wey be son of Tik′vah the son of Har′has, wey de take care of cloths,* and the woman de stay for the Second Quarter for Jerusalem; and them follow-am talk for there. 15 E tell them say: “This na wetin Jehovah the God of Israel talk, ‘Make una tell the man wey send una to me say: 16 “This na wetin Jehovah talk, ‘I go bring serious trouble for this place and for the people wey de live for there, all the things wey them write inside the book wey the king of Judah don read go happen. 17 As e be say them don leave me and them de make sacrifice them smoke to other gods so that them go make me vex with all the things wey them de do with their hands, I go vex for this place well-well like fire wey de burn, and them no go quench-am.’” 18 But this na wetin una go tell the king of Judah wey send una come ask Jehovah, “This na wetin Jehovah the God of Israel talk: ‘As for this things wey you don hear, 19 because say them touch your heart* and you carry body down for Jehovah front as you hear wetin I talk against this place and the people wey de live for there, say them go be people wey them don curse and people wey their bad condition go make people fear, and because of this one, you tear your cloths and cry for my front, me too don hear your prayer, na wetin Jehovah talk. 20 Because of this one, I go make you join your papa-papa them,* and them go put you for your grave in peace, and you no go see all the trouble wey I go bring come this place.’”’” So them come tell the king this message.
