3 When the seventh month reach and Israel people* don dey for their cities, them gather together for Jerusalem with one mind. 2 Jesh′u·a wey be the son of Je·hoz′a·dak and the other priests and Ze·rub′ba·bel wey be the son of She·al′ti·el and im brothers stand up and build the altar of the God of Israel so that them go fit do sacrifice them wey them de burn ontop-am just as them write-am for the Law of Moses, the man of the true God.

3 So even though say them de fear the people wey surround the land, them build the altar put for where e first dey and them start to do sacrifice them wey them de burn to Jehovah ontop-am, wey be, the sacrifice them wey them de burn for morning and evening. 4 Then them do the Festival of Booths* according to wetin them write, and everyday them de do the amount of sacrifice them wey them de burn wey them suppose do each day. 5 After that one, them do the offering wey them de burn, the one wey them de do everyday, and the offerings wey them de do for the new moons and the ones wey them de do for all the holy festivals of Jehovah, with the ones from everybody wey use their heart bring offering to Jehovah. 6 From the first day of the seventh month, them start to do the sacrifice them wey them de burn to Jehovah, even though say them never do the foundation of Jehovah temple.

7 Them give money to the people wey de cut stones and people wey de use hand make things, and them give food and drink and oil to Siʹdon people and Tyre people as them bring cedar timbers from Leb′a·non come Jop′pa through sea, according to the authority wey Cyrus wey be king of Persia give them.

8 For the second year after them don come the house of the true God for Jerusalem, for the second month, Ze·rub′ba·bel wey be the son of She·al′ti·el, Jesh′u·a the son of Je·hoz′a·dak and the rest of their brothers, the priests and the Levites, and all the people wey come Jerusalem from where them be slaves before, start the work; them choose the Levites wey dey from 20 years go up to be people wey de direct the work of the house of Jehovah. 9 So Jesh′u·a, im sons and im brothers, and Kad′mi·el and im sons, wey be the sons of Judah, join hand together to direct the people wey de do the work for the house of the true God, together with the sons of Hen′a·dad, their sons and their brothers, wey be Levites.

10 When the builders don do the foundation of the temple of Jehovah, the priests wey wear their cloths wey them de normally wear for work, carry trumpets, and the Levites wey be the sons of A′saph carry cymbals, them come stand up to praise Jehovah just as David wey be king of Israel direct them. 11 And them start to answer with song as them de praise and thank Jehovah, “because e good; im love wey no de fail wey e de show Israel de last forever.” Then all the people start to shout well-well de praise Jehovah because them don do the foundation of the house of Jehovah. 12 Many of the priests, the Levites, and the leaders of the family groups for their papa side—the old men wey see the former house—cry no be small when them see as them de do the foundation of this house. But many of the people de shout well-well because them de happy. 13 So the people no fit know whether the noise na noise of people wey de happy or noise of people wey de cry, because the people de shout well-well sotey people de hear-am from far-far place.
