“Continue for the Truth”

1. How we de gain when we talk about how we learn “the truth”?

THEY fit don ask you many times say: “How you learn the truth?” This na one of the first question wey we de ask our brothers and sisters when we want know more about them. We like to hear how our brothers and sisters learn the truth about Jehovah and why they love-am. And we de like to tell them why the truth really dey important to us. (Rom. 1:11) As we de tell them why the truth dey important to us, e de help us always think about why we like-am as we be servant of Jehovah. This one still de give us the mind to “continue for the truth.” This one mean say we go continue to de live our life the way wey go make Jehovah happy with us and bless us.—3 John 4.

2. Wetin we go talk about for this article?

² For this article, we go talk about some of the reason why we love the truth. And we go still learn how we fit continue to show say the truth na really special gift. The things wey we go learn go make us happy more-more say Jehovah don bring us come the truth. (John 6:44) E go still move us to continue to tell other people the truth wey we don learn.

THE REASON WHY WE LOVE “THE TRUTH”

3. Wetin be the number one reason why we love the truth?

³ We get many reason why we love the truth. But the number one reason be say, we love Jehovah wey Give us the truth. We don learn from Bible say na Jehovah get power pass, na e Make heaven and earth, and e still be our Papa wey de care for us. (1 Pet. 5:7) We know say our God “get pity, e get soft-heart, e no de vex quick-quick, na only truth e de talk and e de show love wey no de fail for plenty way.” (Ex. 34:6) E de always judge well. (Isa. 61:8) E de really pain-am as we de suffer and e ready to comot all the things wey de make us suffer. E go do-am when time reach. (Jer. 29:11) We de really wait for that time! This one na one reason why we really love Jehovah!

4-5. Why apostle Paul talk say our hope be like anchor?

⁴ Wetin be another reason why we love the truth? We de gain many things as we de learn the truth. For example, the hope wey we get na one of the truth wey we de learn from Bible. Apostle Paul use one example show why this hope really dey important. E talk say: “We get this hope, e be like anchor wey de hold our life. E dey sure and e no de shake.” (Heb. 6:19) Just as anchor de hold boat make e no comot, na so our hope de make us stand strong when we de face serious problem.

⁵ For this verse, Paul de talk about the hope wey anointed Christians get. But wetin e talk still concern people wey get the hope to stay this earth forever. (John 3:16) This hope don really make our life better.

6-7. How Yvonne don gain from the truth wey e learn from Bible?

E read for one book say: “One-day one-day, we go die.” This one really worry e mind. E talk say: “This thing wey I read no de make me fit sleep for night, I go just lie down de think about my future. But, I believe say they no just born us to die. Why we even come this life? I de think all this things because I no want die!”

⁸ Another truth wey we de learn from Bible na the good news about the Kingdom of God. Jesus compare this truth to something wey get high value. Jesus talk for Matthew 13:44 say: “The Kingdom of heavens be like something wey get high value, wey them hide inside bush, one man see-am and hide-am and because of the joy wey e get, e go sell all e property and buy the land.” For this verse, we see say the man no de look for this thing wey get high value. But as e just de go, e see-am, and e do everything wey e fit do to get-am. In fact, e sell everything wey e get to buy-am. Why e do like that? Because e know say the thing get value well-well. E no get anything wey we leave wey fit better pass the honor wey we get to be friend of Jehovah. To “do wetin [Jehovah] like” na e de make us happy pass.—Col. 1:10.

10-11. Wetin make Michael change the way e de live e life?

¹⁰ Many of us don leave many things to fit serve Jehovah. Some don leave work wey de make people respect them. Some don stop to pursue money. And some don change the way them de live their life. Na wetin Michael do be that. E learn karate when e still de young. And later learn about Jehovah when e don grow. E talk say: “E de make me happy to get muscle. Sometimes I de feel say nobody fit beat me.” But when e start to study Bible, e learn say Jehovah hate fight. (Ps. 11:5) Michael talk say: “The husband and wife wey study with me no ever tell me say I need to stop karate, they just continue to teach me the truth from Bible.”

17. Apart from study, wetin we still need to do? (James 1:25)

18. Why e good make we do our best to remain “for the truth”?

¹⁸ Just think about the gain wey we go get if we do our best to remain “for the truth”! Our life go better, e go make us de do things wey go make Jehovah and our brothers and sisters happy. (Prov. 27:11; 3 John 4) This na the best reason wey we get to love the truth and to allow the truth de show for our life.
