Two New Governing Body Members
FOR October 5, 2024, them make one special announcement for the meeting wey we de do every year. Them announce say them don appoint Brother Jody Jedele and Brother Jacob Rumph as Governing Body members. The two of them don dey faithful de serve Jehovah for many years.
Jody Jedele and im wife, Damaris
Them born Brother Jedele for Missouri, for U.S.A. and im papa and mama na Jehovah Witness. That time, im family de stay for one area wey Jehovah Witness no plenty. Because of this one, e meet many brothers and sisters wey come from different-different place to help preach for their area. The love wey them get for each other and the way them dey as one really touch-am. E baptize for October 15, 1983. E de like to preach, and after e finish secondary school, e start to pioneer for September 1989.
When Brother Jedele dey young, im papa and mama de carry-am and im junior sister go visit Bethel. This one move them to want serve for Bethel, and later, the two of them serve for Bethel. Brother Jedele go Bethel for Wallkill for September 1990. E first work for Cleaning Department, and later for Medical Services Department.
Around this time, congregations wey de speak Spanish language wey near them de grow and them need brothers to help them. So Brother Jedele join one of the congregations and start to learn Spanish. E no tey, e meet one sister wey de pioneer for the same circuit. The sister name na Damaris. Them later marry and e join-am for Bethel.
For 2005, them leave Bethel to care for im mama and for im wife papa and mama. That time, them serve as regular pioneers. Brother Jedele help teach for Pioneer Service School, and e serve for Hospital Liaison Committee and Regional Building Committee.
For 2013, them invite Brother and Sister Jedele back to Bethel to work for Warwick construction project. Later, them serve for Patterson and Wallkill. Brother Jedele don work for Local Design/Construction Department and for Hospital Information Services. For March 2023, e start to serve as helper for Service Committee. When e think about the things wey e don do for Jehovah organization, e talk say: “Sometimes, when you receive new assignment from Jehovah organization, e fit make you fear. But na that time you suppose trust Jehovah more because na im fit help us do anything wey e want make we do.”
Jacob Rumph and im wife, Inga
Them born Brother Rumph for California, for U.S.A. When e dey small, im mama stop to de preach and go meeting, but im mama still de try to teach-am Bible. And every year, e de go visit im grandmama wey de serve Jehovah well. Im grandmama help-am get interest for Bible, so when e dey 13 years, e decide to study Bible. E baptize for September 27, 1992, when e still dey young. Im mama start to de preach and go meeting again, and im papa and junior brother and sister start to progress and them baptize.
When Brother Rumph dey young, e see how pioneers de happy. So after e finish secondary school, e start to pioneer for September 1995. For year 2000, e move go Ecuador where them need more publishers to preach. For there, e meet one sister wey come from Canada wey de pioneer, and them later marry. After them marry, them serve for one small town for Ecuador wey the publishers for there no plenty. But now, the congregation don really grow.
Later, them appoint Brother and Sister Rumph as special pioneers, and them later do circuit work. For 2011, them attend the 132nd class of Gilead. After them graduate, them serve for five different countries and them do different-different work. For example, them serve for Bethel, do missionary work, and circuit work. Brother Rumph still teach for School for Kingdom Evangelizers.
Because of COVID-19, Brother and Sister Rumph go back to United States. Them invite them for Wallkill Bethel, and them train Brother Rumph for Service Department. Later, them send them back to Ecuador branch and Brother Rumph serve as Branch Committee member. For 2023, them transfer them go Warwick. For January 2024, them appoint Brother Rumph to serve as a helper for Service Committee. When e think about the different place wey e don serve, e talk say: “Wetin de make any work wey we do for Jehovah organization special na the people wey we de work with, no be the place wey we de do the work.”
