FINE-FINE LESSON FROM BIBLE | ACTS 21-22
“Make Wetin Jehovah Want Happen”
(Acts 21:8-12) The next day, we comot and we go Caesarea, we enter the house of Philip wey e sabi preach, wey dey among the seven men, and we stay there. 9 This man get four girls and they never marry but they be prophet. 10 But after we don stay there for some days, one prophet wey e name na Agabus come from Judea. 11 And e come meet us, e take the belt of Paul, tie e own feet and two hand and e talk say: “Holy spirit talk say, ‘Na so the Jews for Jerusalem go tie the man wey e get this belt, and they go take the man give people of the nations.’” 12 Now as we hear this one, we and the people for there start de beg Paul make e no go Jerusalem.
bt 177-178 ¶15-16
“Make Wetin Jehovah Want Happen”
15 As Paul dey for the house of Philip, another visitor wey people de respect, come the place. The name of this visitor na Agabus. The people wey gather for the house of Philip know say Agabus na prophet. The time wey Claudius de rule, Agabus talk say serious hunger go come and e happen. (Acts 11:27, 28) They fit de think say: ‘Why Agabus come? Which message e bring?’ As they just de look, e take the belt of Paul. This belt na long cloth wey they fit put money and other things. Agabus use the belt, tie e own feet and two hand. Then e talk things wey e really worry the people. E talk say: “Holy spirit talk say, ‘Na so the Jews for Jerusalem go tie the man wey e get this belt, and they go take the man give people of the nations.’”—Acts 21:11.
16 This thing wey Agabus talk show say Paul must go Jerusalem. E still show say the preaching wey e go do for there go make Jew people, give Paul to “people of the nations.” This thing wey Agabus talk really affect the people for there. Luke write say: “Now, as we hear this one, we and the people for there start de beg Paul make e no go Jerusalem. Then Paul ask them say: ‘Why wuna de cry and de try make my heart weak? Make wuna no worry, I ready make they tie me and even kill me for Jerusalem because of the name of our Lord Jesus.’”—Acts 21:12, 13.
(Acts 21:13) Then Paul ask them say: “Why wuna de cry and de make my heart weak? Make wuna no worry, I ready make they tie me and even kill me for Jerusalem because of the name of our Lord Jesus.”
bt 178 ¶17
“Make Wetin Jehovah Want Happen”
17 Just imagine say you dey there. Luke and the brothers de beg Paul say make e no go. Some of them even de cry. The love wey this brothers show really touch Paul for heart. This one make Paul ask them say, “Why wuna de make my heart weak?” Or as some translation talk, “Why wuna de break my heart.” Just as e happen with the brothers for Tyre, Paul still make up e mind say e must go Jerusalem even when the brothers de cry say make e no go. And e explain why e must go there. Paul no fear, e make up e mind. Like Jesus, Paul no fear to go Jerusalem even though e know say they fit kill-am. (Heb. 12:2) No be say Paul want go Jerusalem because e want make they kill him because of Jesus. But if e happen, e go take-am as honor say e die because of Jesus.
(Acts 21:14) When we no fit make Paul change e mind, we no talk again but we say: “Make wetin Jehovah want happen.”
bt 178 ¶18
“Make Wetin Jehovah Want Happen”
18 Wetin the brothers do? They show say they respect Paul. Bible talk say: ‘When we no fit make Paul change e mind, we no talk again but we say: “Make wetin Jehovah want happen.’” (Acts 21:14) So the brothers wey tell Paul say make e no go Jerusalem no talk say Paul must do wetin they tell him. They accept the thing wey Paul talk. And they see-am as wetin Jehovah want, even though e hard for them. They fit kill Paul for this Jerusalem wey e want go. E for easy for Paul if the brothers no try to stop him say make e no go.
Fine-Fine Things Wey You See for Bible
(Acts 21:23, 24) So do wetin we tell you: We get four men wey they don make special promise to God. 24 Make this men follow you and make wuna clean wunaself as the law talk, and pay for them make they shave their hair. Then everybody go know say the thing wey them de hear about you no correct, but you de do the correct thing and you de follow the Law.
bt 184-185 ¶10-12
“Make Wuna Hear Wetin I Want Talk”
10 But Paul show say e really understand people. E no judge Christians wey still de do some things for the law, like Sabbath, or to avoid some kind food. (Rom. 14:1-6) E no give them law about circumcision. Paul even circumcise Timothy so that Jew people no go de look Timothy with bad eye, because e papa na Greek. (Acts 16:3) Na person go decide whether e go circumcise. Paul tell the brothers for Galatia say: “Whether person circumcise or e no circumcise, that one no dey important so-far na disciple of Jesus Christ. But wetin dey important na e faith wey de show for e love.” (Gal. 5:6) But if person circumcise because e want follow the Law, or because e feel say that one go make-am be friend of God, e mean say that person no get faith.
11 Even though the things wey people talk about Paul no be true, e still affect the brothers wey be Jews. Because of this one, the elders for Jerusalem tell Paul say: “We get four men wey they don make special promise to God. Make this men follow you and make wuna clean wunaself as the law talk, and pay for them make they shave their hair. Then everybody go know say the thing wey them de hear about you no correct, but you de do the correct thing and you de follow the Law.”—Acts 21:23, 24.
12 Paul for fit talk say no be things wey people talk about him be the problem, but na because those brothers still want de do things wey dey inside the Law. But Paul ready to do as the elders talk as far as no be thing wey God hate. Paul don first write say: “When I dey with people wey dey under law, I de behave like say I dey under law, even though I no dey under law so that I fit bring people wey dey under law to Christ” (1 Cor. 9:20) For this matter, Paul do like person wey de “follow the law” because e do as the elders for Jerusalem talk. Na fine example! Like Paul, make we de do as elders talk, no be as we like.—Heb. 13:17.
(Acts 22:16) And now why you de waste time? Make you baptize so that God go forgive your sins, because you don show your faith for the name of Jesus.’
nwtsty study note for Ac 22:16
God go forgive your sins: No be the water wey person use baptize de wash e sin away. But God go forgive the person because e show faith for the name of Jesus. And na the way e de live e life go show this faith.—Ac 10:43; Jas 2:14, 18.

FINE-FINE LESSON FROM BIBLE | ACTS 23-24
“The Jews Talk Say Paul De Make Trouble and De Turn People Against Government”
(Acts 23:12) Now, when day time don reach, the Jew people meet and make wicked plan. They swear say they no go chop or drink until they kill Paul.
(Acts 23:16) But as the son of the sister of Paul hear their wicked plan, e enter army quarters and e tell Paul.
bt 191 ¶5-6
“No Fear!”
5 The word wey the angel tell Paul come for the right time. The next day, about 40 men wey they be Jew, “meet and make wicked plan. They swear say they no go chop or drink until they kill Paul.” As they “swear” e show say they don really decide say they must kill Paul. They believe say if they no succeed kill Paul, bad thing go happen to them. (Acts 23:12-15) The chief priests and elders support this wicked plan. They agree say, they go talk say they want make Paul come Sanhedrin again, so that e go be like say they want know the truth about the matter. But before Paul reach the Sanhedrin, the people wey they want kill Paul go hide for road so that they go attack and kill Paul.
6 But the son of the sister of Paul hear about the wicked plan and e tell Paul. Then Paul tell the young man say make e tell Claudius Lysias wey e be the commander of Roman army. (Acts 23:16-22) Even though Bible no talk the name of this young man, we know say Jehovah love young people wey no de fear like this young man. Na things wey e concern Jehovah’s people and the work of Jehovah they put as number one thing for their life, no be their own.
(Acts 24:2) As they call Tertullus, e start de lie against Paul say: “Since we de really enjoy peace because of you, and as plenty good things de happen for our country because of you,
(Acts 24:5, 6) Because we don see say this man de make trouble and de tell all Jew people for the whole earth, make they turn against the government, and na e be leader for the new group for Nazareth. 6 E even try make e spoil the temple, so we catch-am.
bt 192 ¶10
“No Fear!”
10 For Caesarea, “they put Paul for prison for Herod palace,” de wait until the people wey they talk plenty things against him come from Jerusalem. (Acts 23:35) And they come after five days. They be, High Priest Ananias, one lawyer wey e name na Tertullus, and group of elders. Tertullus first praise Felix for all the things wey e do for Jew people. This one na just to make Felix glad, so that e go favor them. When e reach time for Tertullus to talk about the case, e talk say Paul de “make trouble and de tell all Jew people for the whole earth, make they turn against the government, and na e be leader for the new group for Nazareth.” Then, “other Jews join de talk say this things na true.” (Acts 24:5, 6, 9) All this things wey they talk against Paul na serious case wey fit make the government say make them kill Paul.
(Acts 24:10-21) When the governor don give Paul sign say make e talk, Paul talk say: “As I know say all this years na you de judge case for this country, e really sweet me say na you go hear my case. 11 You fit ask people and they go tell you say e never pass 12 days since I go Jerusalem go worship God; 12 and the Jews no see me de argue with anybody for the temple, or de make people cause trouble for different-different synagogue or for the whole city. 13 They no fit prove say this things wey they talk against me now, na true. 14 But I agree say I de follow the people wey them de call “new group,” de worship the God of my forefathers, and I believe everything wey e dey the Law and the Prophets. 15 And I get the same hope for God like this people, say righteous people and people wey them no dey righteous go come back to life 16 Because of this one I de try my best everytime, so that I go get clean conscience before God and man. 17 Now after plenty years, I come back with contribution for my people and to make different-different sacrifice to God. 18 As I de do this things, they see me for temple say I don clean myself as the Law talk, but they no see me with plenty people or say I de cause trouble. But e get some Jews from Asia, 19 wey they for come tell you, if they really get anything against me. 20 Or make this men talk by theirself if they see any bad thing wey I do as I stand for front of San′he·drin, 21 if no be because of the only thing wey I talk when I dey with them, say: ‘Wuna de judge me today because I believe say people go resurrect from death!’”
bt 193-194 ¶13-14
“No Fear!”
13 If people lie about us say we de cause trouble, or say we be members of bad gang, or say we de make people turn against government, because we de worship Jehovah, we fit learn from the example of Paul. Paul no do like Tertullus. E no tell governor Felix sweet-sweet things so that e go get favor from the governor. Paul no complain, but e show say e get respect. E use sense defend e self, and e no lie. Paul talk say na “some Jews from Asia” be talk say e de spoil the temple. So they for dey there, hear how Paul go defend e self.—Acts 24:18, 19.
14 Even with all this one, Paul no hide e belief. E no fear, e still talk for there say people wey they don die, go come back to life. Na this matter first cause problem when e dey for the Sanhedrin. (Acts 23:6-10) As Paul de defend e self, e really talk say people wey they don die, go resurrect. Why? Because, the main thing wey Paul de preach about na Jesus and the resurrection of Jesus. But the people wey they lie against Paul, no believe this one. (Acts 26:6-8, 22, 23) True-true, na the matter of resurrection de cause all this trouble, especially the resurrection of Jesus.
Fine-Fine Things Wey You See for Bible
(Acts 23:6) Now, as Paul know say one side na Sadducees and the other side na Pharisees, e tell the San′he·drin with loud voice say: “My people, I be Pharisee and my grandpapa them, na Pharisee. Wuna de judge me because I believe say people wey they don die go resurrect.”
nwtsty study note for Ac 23:6
I be Pharisee: Some of the people for there know Paul. (Ac 22:5) So, they go don understand say as Paul talk say e grandpapa them na Pharisee, e de accept say e first be Pharisee. And they know say Paul no de claim say e still be Pharisee, because now, e don be serious Christian. But for this verse, Paul want make the Pharisees know say him and them, get the same believe. Paul believe say people wey they don die, go come back to life and na the same thing wey the Pharisees believe. But the Sadducees no believe this one. So, Paul talk this one to gain favor with the Pharisee. E be feel say some members of the Sanhedrin go support e point, and na so e really happen. (Ac 23:7-9) After, when Paul de talk about e self for front of King Agrippa, e talk the same thing wey they write for Ac 23:6. (Ac 26:5) Another time, Paul still call e self Pharisee when e write letter give brothers for Philippi. (Php 3:5) And for Ac 15:5, they still talk about people wey they be Pharisees before they come be Christians.—Check study note for Ac 15:5.
(Acts 24:24) After some days, Felix come with Dru·sil′la, e wife wey na Jew. So e talk say make they bring Paul, and e listen as Paul de talk about Jesus Christ.
(Acts 24:27) But after two years, Porcius Festus take over from Felix. But because Felix want get favor from Jew people, e no release Paul.
nwtsty study note for Ac 24:24
Drusilla: Drusilla na the third and last daughter of Herod Agrippa I. This Herod na the one wey they talk about for Ac 12:1. They born Drusilla for 38 C.E. Na sister of Agrippa II and Bernice. (Go check study note for Ac 25:13 and Glossary, “Herod.”) Governor Felix na e second husband. E first marry Azizus, king of Emesa, wey e come from Syria. Drusilla end the marriage and marry Felix around 54 C.E., or when e dey 16 years old. E fit be say e dey there time wey Paul de talk for front of Felix ‘about how e go live clean live, control e self and the judgement wey de come.’ (Ac 24:25) Felix no release Paul before e hand over as governor to Festus. E do this one because e “want get favor from Jew people.” Some people even think say e do-am to make e young wife wey e be Jew glad.—Ac 24:27.

FINE-FINE LESSON FROM BIBLE | ACTS 25-26
“Paul Beg Make Caesar Hear E Case and E Preach to King Herod Agrippa”
(Acts 25:11) If I really bad and I don do anything wey e make they want kill me, I no de beg say make they no kill me; but if all this things wey they talk against me no be true, nobody get right to put me for their hand to gain something. I want make Caesar hear my case!”
bt 198 ¶6
“I want make Caesar hear my case!”
6 Festus be want make Jew people happy. And this one for make them kill Paul. So, Paul use e right as person wey they born for Rome. E tell Festus say: “I dey the front of Judgement seat of Caesar, the correct place to judge my case. And you don de see say I no do Jew people any bad. . . . I want make Caesar hear my case!” If person don talk say e want make Caesar judge e case, they no fit change-am. Festus know say this one na true, na e make e tell Paul say: “As you say you want go meet Caesar; you must go meet Caesar.” (Acts 25:10-12) This thing wey Paul do, na fine example for us today. When people wey they hate our work, want use the law make trouble for us, we de use the law of the land defend the good news.—Ps. 94:20.
(Acts 26:1-3) Agrippa tell Paul say: “You fit talk for yourself now.” So Paul stretch e hand and e start to talk say: 2 “King Agrippa, e really sweet me today say na for your front I go defend myself for all this things wey Jew people talk against me, 3 especially since you be expert for all the tradition and things wey de cause trouble among the Jews. So, I de beg, make you take your time hear me.
bt 198-201 ¶10-16
“I want make Caesar hear my case!”
10 Paul show King Agrippa respect. E thank the King for the chance to defend e self. And e still talk say the king na expert for all the tradition and things wey de cause trouble among the Jews. Then Paul talk about the way e life first be. E talk say: “I be Pharisee. Na this group de follow law pass any other group for our religion.” (Acts 26:5) When Paul be Pharisee, e believe say Messiah go come. Now wey e be Christian, e no fear to talk say Jesus na that Messiah wey they don de wait since. Paul and this wicked Jews believe the same thing about the Messiah wey e go come. This na because they know say Jehovah don promise their forefathers say Messiah go come. But now, they want kill Paul because of this one. This one make Agrippa want even hear more of the things wey Paul want talk.
11 Paul remember how e first de treat Christians. E talk say: “That time, me self be dey sure say na good thing if I do plenty things to show say I hate the name of Jesus of Nazareth . . . And because I really de vex for them, I even go other city go suffer them for there.” (Acts 26:9-11) Paul no de lie. Plenty people know the bad things wey e do Christians. (Gal. 1:13, 23) Agrippa fit de think say, ‘Wetin make this man change?’
12 The next thing wey Paul talk, answer the question. Paul talk say: “As I de do this things, one day I be de travel go Damascus with the power and support from the chief priests. King Agrippa, as I de go for road for afternoon, I see light from heaven wey e shine pass light from sun, around me and people wey they travel with me. And as all of us fall for ground, I hear one voice for Hebrew language wey e ask me say: ‘Saul, Saul, why you de suffer me? You de make your life hard, because you just de do like animal wey de kick the rod wey e owner use de direct-am.’ But I talk say: ‘Abeg Lord, who be you?’ And the Lord answer say: ‘I be Jesus, wey you de suffer.’”—Acts 26:12-15.
13 Before Paul see this vision, we fit talk say e “de do like animal wey de kick the rod wey e owner use de direct-am.” If farm animal de kick the sharp side of rod wey they use de direct-am, e go get wound. Na wetin happen to Paul be that? Because e de fight against the disciples of Jesus, e no come be friend of God. As Jesus wey Jehovah don resurrect appear to Paul as e de go Damascus, that one make Paul change the way e de think. Jesus know say Paul really want worship God, but e no de do-am for the correct way.—John 16:1, 2.
14 True-true, Paul really change how e de live e life. E tell Agrippa say: “I do as the voice from heaven say make I do, I first start for Damascus, then Jerusalem, and all the country for Judea and other country, de tell them say make they repent and de do things wey go show say they don repent and make they come back to God.” (Acts 26:19, 20) For plenty years, Paul do the work wey Jesus give-am for that vision. And wetin be the result? The people wey they hear the good news wey Paul preach, repent and change their bad life. And they come be Christian. And they start de respect and obey the law of their land.
15 But the Jews wey they want kill Paul, no see this good work wey Paul don do. Paul talk say: “Na this one make the Jews hold me for temple and want kill me. But because God don really help me till today, I still de preach to everybody, whether na small pikin or big person.”—Acts 26:21, 22.
16 As true Christian, make we ready any time to defend our faith. (1 Pet. 3:15) When we de defend the truth for front of judge or people wey they rule, make we follow the way Paul do-am, when e de talk with Agrippa and Festus. We fit talk things wey go touch their heart, if we talk with respect, and tell them how Bible don change our life and other people their own.
(Acts 26:28) But Agrippa tell Paul say: “E remain small, and you go make me agree to be Christian.”
bt 202 ¶18
“I want make Caesar hear my case!”
18 But Paul tell the governor say: “Your Excellency Festus, I no de craze, but I dey with my complete sense and this things wey I de talk, na true. The truth na say, the king wey I de feel free to talk with, know about this things . . . King Agrippa, you believe things wey the Prophets write? I know say you believe-am.” Agrippa answer say: “E remain small, and you go make me agree to be Christian.” (Acts 26:25-28) Whether this thing wey the king talk come from e heart or e no come, e show say those things wey Paul talk, touch e heart.
Fine-Fine Things Wey You See for Bible
(Acts 26:14) And as all of us fall for ground, I hear one voice for Hebrew language wey e ask me say: ‘Saul, Saul, why you de suffer me? You de make your life hard, because you just de do like animal wey de kick the rod wey e owner use de direct-am.’
nwtsty study note for Ac 26:14
you just de do like animal wey de kick rod: Lit., “de kick goad.” Goad na rod wey e get sharp side, wey people de use de direct animal. (Jg 3:31) This word “de kick goad” na proverb wey e dey inside Greek people their book. And they get-am from the thing wey stubborn cow de do. If e master de use rod (goad) de direct-am go place wey e no want go, the animal go de kick the rod and that one fit wound-am. Na so Saul be de behave when e never be Christian. As e de fight against followers of Jesus, e fit wound e self because Jehovah dey with them. (Compare Ac 5:38, 39; 1Ti 1:13, 14.) Ec 12:11 talk say the word of person wey e get sense, be like rod wey them de use direct animal. This one na because e de make person wey e de hear the advice, follow the advice.
nwt glossary
Goad. Goad na rod wey e get sharp side, wey farmer de use de direct animal. Bible talk say this goad be like the word of person wey e get sense, because e de make person wey e de hear the advice, follow the advice. And they get the word “de kick goad” from the thing wey stubborn cow de do. If e master de use rod (goad) de direct-am go place wey e no want go, the animal go de kick the rod and that one fit wound-am.—Ac 26:14; Jg 3:31.
(Acts 26:27) King Agrippa, you believe things wey the Prophets write? I know say you believe-am.”
w03 11/15 16-17 ¶14
Help People Make They Accept the Good News
14 Paul know say Agrippa na Jew for mouth. Paul use things wey Agrippa know about Jew religion, when e de talk with-am. E tell Agrippa say, ‘Na only things about how the Messiah go die and resurrect, wey the Prophets and Moses write say e go happen, I de talk about.’ (Acts 26:22, 23) Then Paul ask Agrippa straight say: “You believe things wey the Prophets write?” The way Agrippa go answer this question, fit make-am e enter trouble. If e say e no believe, people fit de think say e no be member of Jew religion again. But if e show say e de support Paul, e mean say e don stand for public de talk say e gree with the things wey Paul talk. And they fit start de call him Christian. So, Paul use sense answer e own question. E talk say: “I know say you believe-am.” Wetin this one make Agrippa talk? E talk say: “E remain small, and you go make me agree to be Christian.” (Acts 26:27, 28) Na true say Agrippa no ever be Christian, but the things wey Paul talk, touch e heart.—Hebrews 4:12.

FINE-FINE LESSON FROM BIBLE | ACTS 27-28
“Paul Enter Ship Go Rome”
(Acts 27:23, 24) For night, the angel of the God wey I de worship, and wey get me, stand near me 24 e tell me say: ‘Paul, make you no fear. You must stand for the front of Caesar. See! God go save you and all the people wey dey the ship with you.’
bt 208 ¶15
“Nobody Among Wuna Go Die”
15 E fit be say Paul go don de preach to people for the ship about ‘the hope of the things wey God promise.’ (Acts 26:6; Col. 1:5) As e dey clear say their ship go scatter, Paul go don use that chance preach about the hope wey they get. E talk say: “For night, the angel of God . . . stand near me, e tell me say: ‘Paul, make you no fear. You must stand for the front of Caesar. See! God go save you and all the people wey dey the ship with you.’” Then Paul tell them say: “So make wuna no fear, because I believe say e go happen just as God tell me. But our ship go scatter for one island.”—Acts 27:23-26.
(Acts 28:1, 2) After we don succeed reach for one island, they tell us say the name of the place na Malta. 2 And the people for there really take care of us. They make fire and welcome us well because rain de fall and cold dey.
bt 209 ¶18
“Nobody Among Wuna Go Die”
18 The name of the island wey them dey na Malta. E dey the south side of Sicily. (Check the box “Malta—Where?”) The people for the island “really take care of” them. (Acts 28:2) This strangers don wet and cold de catch them. So the people for the island, make fire for them to warm theirself. The fire help them even though the weather cold and rain de fall. This one still give Paul chance to do miracle.
bt 210 ¶21
“Nobody Among Wuna Go Die”
21 Publius na rich man wey get land, and e de live for the island. E fit be say na this man government of Rome make leader for Malta. Luke talk say Publius na leader for the island of Malta. Na the same title they use for two document wey they see for Malta. Publius welcome them and take care of them for three days. But e papa de sick. Luke talk the kind sickness wey Publius papa get. E say na fever and dysentery. Paul pray and put e hand ontop Publius papa, then e cure him. This miracle really make the people for the island glad. So they bring other sick people so that Paul go cure them. And they bring things wey Paul and people wey dey with him need.—Acts 28:7-10.
(Acts 28:16, 17) When we don reach Rome, they leave Paul make e stay alone with the soldier wey e de guard him. 17 But, when three days don pass, e call the leaders of the Jews. When they don gather, e tell them say: “My brothers, even though I no do anything against our people or the tradition of our forefathers, they put me for prison for Jerusalem and carry me give Rome people.
bt 213 ¶10
“Paul Really Preach the Good News”
10 When the group wey de travel, reach Rome “they leave Paul make e stay alone with the soldier wey e de guard him.” (Acts 28:16) If they put person for house arrest, they go chain the person and soldier together so that e no go run. But Paul still preach because they no put the chain for e mouth. So after Paul don rest for three days because of the travel, e gather the leaders for Jew people for Rome. E do this one so that e fit tell them about e self and preach to them.
Fine-Fine Things Wey You See for Bible
(Acts 27:9) Time don really pass, and by now, e no good to travel for sea because even the fast wey them de do for Atonement Day don already pass, so Paul advice

the fast wey them de do for Atonement Day: Lit., “the fast.” The Greek word for “the fast,” de talk about the only fast wey the law of Moses talk say make Israel people de do. Na every year for Atonement Day them de do this fast wey they still de call Yom Kippur (Hebrew, yohm hak·kip·pu·rimʹ, “day of the coverings”). (Le 16:29-31; 23:26-32; Nu 29:7; go check Glossary, “Day of Atonement.”) For Atonement Day, Bible talk say make person ‘suffer e self.’ This one mean say the person go do fasting, and e go avoid other things wey e for like do. (Le 16:29, ftn.) The way they use this word “the fast” for Acts 27:9 show say for person to suffer e self for Atonement Day, mean say e go fast. Atonement Day de normally fall for ending of September, or beginning of October.
(Acts 28:11) After three months, we enter one ship wey e get the image of the “Sons of Zeus.” The ship na from Alexandria, and e don dey for the island since cold season.
nwtsty study note for Ac 28:11
Sons of Zeus: Greek and Rome people believe say the “Sons of Zeus” (Greek, Di·oʹskou·roi) wey their name na Castor and Pollux na twin gods. Their papa na the god wey them de call Zeus (Jupiter) and their mama na Queen Leda of Sparta. They believe say this gods (Castor and Pollux) get power to protect people wey they travel for sea. And say they fit save person wey e ship want sink. As this verse talk about the image wey e dey the ship, e show say the person wey write this story, see-am by e self.
