Receive the Spirit of God, No Be the Spirit of the World

¹² The way I de behave de show say na the spirit of God de control me or na the spirit of this world? (Read Colossians 3:8-10, 13.) The spirit of the world de make people do things wey their flesh want. (Gal. 5:19-21) How we fit know the spirit wey e really de control us? No be when things dey fine, but when things no de go well. For example, if brother or sister treat us like say we no reach anything, vex us, or do us bad, wetin we go do? ¹³ The spirit of God fit help us ‘remove the old character wey we be get,’ and wear “the new character.” This one go help us de show more love and dey kind. We go ready to forgive our brothers and sisters with all our heart, even if we get reason to complain. And when we feel say they no treat us well, we no go behave the way we de do before. We no go get ‘bad heart, over-vex, show hot temper, shout or curse’ the person. Instead, we go try our best to ‘really de feel’ for people.​—Eph. 4:31, 32.

Bible Don Change You?

¹⁸ If we want make Bible change us, we no go only de read and learn from Bible every time, we still need to do more. Plenty people de read Bible from time to time, and they know many things wey Bible talk. E fit be say you don meet this kind people before, as you de preach. Some of them fit quote Bible verse even when they no open the Bible. But plenty times, this one no de change how them de think or live. Why? This one na because before Bible fit change person, e must allow wetin e learn touch e heart. (Gal. 6:6, ftn.) This one mean say, we must make time to think about wetin we de learn. E dey important make we ask our self say: ‘I really de sure say wetin I de learn from Bible na the truth? I don see reason to believe say na the truth? I de use wetin I de learn for my life or I feel say I de learn-am just to teach people? I believe say when I de read Bible, na Jehovah de talk to me?’ If we de really think about this kind questions, e go make us near Jehovah pass before. And the love wey we get for Jehovah go grow. When the things wey we de learn de touch our heart, e go make us change our life to make Jehovah happy.​—Prov. 4:23; Luke 6:45.

Kingdom of God

And they come be the first people for the new “holy nation” or Israel of God.​—Heb 12:22-24; 1Pe 2:9, 10; Ga 6:16.

As Jesus Christ go heaven, e don sitdown for the right hand side of e Father and e become the Head of the congregation of anointed Christians. (Eph 5:23; Heb 1:3; Php 2:9-11) Bible show say starting from Pentecost 33 C.E., Jesus Christ don de rule over e disciples wey e anoint with holy spirit. This Kingdom of Christ start for Pentecost 33 C.E., when Jesus start to de rule over the ‘Israel of God.’ The ‘Israel of God’ na Christians wey Jehovah don choose with e spirit to become e children for heaven. (Joh 3:3, 5, 6) When this anointed Christians don go heaven, they no go be part of this kingdom of Christ again, because they no dey this earth again. But they go be king with Jesus Christ for heaven.​—Re 5:9, 10.

“Elders De Work Hard—Respect Them”

¹⁹ Wetin you go do, if person give you gift wey e make just for you? To show say you like this gift, you must use-am. Elders na “gift” wey Jehovah use Jesus Christ give you. How you fit show say you really like this gift? Na if you (1) de listen well when elder de give talk and de do the things wey you learn from the talk, (2) de give answer wey people fit learn from for meeting, (3) de support the work wey elders de direct, like preaching work. If advice wey elder give you, don help you, make you thank the elder. No forget say elders de use the time wey they for spend with their family for congregation work. So, make we still de thank their family.

(1 Thessalonians 5:14) And we de tell wuna say make wuna warn people wey they no de behave well. Encourage people wey they no dey happy, help people wey them dey weak, dey patient with everybody.

“Show Say You Get Real Love”

¹³ Help people wey their faith don weak. Bible talk say make we de “encourage people wey they no dey happy, help people wey them dey weak, and dey patient with everybody.” (1 Thess. 5:14) We fit use this thing wey Bible talk know whether we get real love. ¹⁶ Our good words. When we get deep love, we go “encourage people wey they no dey happy.” (1 Thess. 5:14) Wetin we fit talk so that we go encourage them? Make we talk things wey go show them say we really care about them. Make we talk about their good side and the good things wey they don do. Make we remind them say na Jehovah draw them come e organization. So, e mean say Jehovah really love them. (John 6:44) We fit still remind them say Jehovah de really care for e servants “wey they get pain for heart” or “wey their heart don weak.” (Ps. 34:18) Our good word fit be like good medicine and e go comfort their heart.​—Prov. 16:24.

(1 Thessalonians 4:3-6) Because wetin God want, na make wuna dey holy and make wuna no de do any sex wey e hate. ⁴ Make each one of wuna know how to control e own body for holy way and way wey go bring honor. ⁵ Make wuna feeling for sex no be the one wey wuna no fit control and wey wuna de always want more, like the way people of the nations be. E de really spoil e friendship with Jehovah, e de spoil the congregation, and e fit get disease like HIV and AIDS. (1Co 6:18, 19) E de cause problem for e Christian brothers and sisters (1Th 4:3-7) because (1) e de make the congregation dirty for the eye of Jehovah, and e de bring shame and disgrace for the congregation (Heb 12:15, 16), (2) e de make the person wey e do this fornication with dirty for the eye of Jehovah. And if the person wey e sleep with, never marry, that person no go enter marriage as virgin, (3) e de spoil the good name wey e family get, and (4) e don cause problem for the papa and mama, the husband, or the person wey want marry who e do this fornication with. So, no be the law of man e disobey but na the law of God. And God go punish this person for e sin.​—1Th 4:8.

(1 Thessalonians 4:15-17) Because wetin we de tell wuna now, na Jehovah talk-am, say we wey we go de alive for the time wey the Lord go return, go rise go heaven. But those wey they don already die, go first rise, then we go rise after them; ¹⁶ because the Lord go come from heaven, and e go call with command, with the voice of archangel, and with the trumpet of God. “The Time Wey They Go Save Wuna Don Near”!

¹⁵ This one mean say na “rapture” they go rapture anointed Christians? Plenty church people believe say Jesus go take or rapture Christians from earth go heaven with their body. And they still believe say they go see Jesus when e go return to rule this earth. But, the things wey Bible talk show say we no go see Jesus with our naked eye when e come back. Bible talk-am clear say “the sign of the Son of man go show for heaven” and say Jesus go ‘come for the cloud of heaven.’ (Matt. 24:30) Bible still talk say “flesh and blood no fit enter the Kingdom of God.” So, before Jesus go take anointed Christians go heaven, they go first change. When the last trumpet go blow, they go change quick-quick, just like when person blink e eye. (Read 1 Corinthians 15:50-53.) “People Go Know Who the Wicked Man Really Be”

(2 Thessalonians 2:6-8) And now, wuna know who de stop the wicked man, so that e go dey clear who this wicked man really be, when the time come. ⁷ True-true, the wickedness of this man still dey secret, but e don already de work. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12) But na Satan de control this wicked man and de give him power to do all kind of lie-lie miracle and signs ¹⁰ and e de use all kind of cunning way de deceive people. This things de deceive people wey they go destroy. And this one na punishment for them because they no accept and love the truth wey e for save them. ¹¹ Na e make God leave-am make they deceive them with bad teaching so that they go believe lie, ¹² and so that God go judge all of them because they no gree believe the truth but na bad things de sweet them to do.

By the Power of Spirit (Inspiration)

“Message Wey e Come From Spirit”—Na spirit of God or Na from Satan. For Greek language the word for spirit na pneuʹma. For some letters wey the apostles write, they use this word for special way. For example, for 2 Thessalonians 2:2, apostle Paul beg the brothers for Thessalonica say make they no gree make person confuse them say the day of Jehovah don come. Make they no worry even if person say na ‘something wey spirit talk, or they hear-am from anybody or they read-am from letter wey people talk say na the apostles write-am.’ For this verse, e clear say Paul use the word pneuʹma or spirit to show how they fit get the message. E talk say they fit ‘hear-am from person’ or “letter.” Na because of this one, one book, Lange’s Commentary on the Holy Scriptures for p. 126 talk about this verse. E talk say: “Wetin Paul mean na say, the message wey people fit tell the brothers fit be like say e come from spirit, things wey they talk say go happen but wey e no be true, or message from prophet.” (Translated and edited by P. Schaff, 1976) Another book, Vincent’s Word Studies in the New Testament talk say: “By spirit for this verse, mean word wey person wey e de claim to be man or woman of God, talk for inside church. And e de claim say e message na from God.” (1957, Vol. IV, p. 63) Na e make, some Bible translate the word pneuʹma for this verse and other verse wey they write this word, as “spirit.” But other Bible translate-am as “message of the Spirit” (The Bible—An American Translation), “message from lie-lie prophet” (The Jerusalem Bible), “by the power of spirit” (D’Ostervald; Segond [French]), and “message wey e come from spirit” (NW ).

Ministerial Servants De Make Good Name for Theirself

⁷ So, this one make-am easy for person to understand why apostle Paul talk say ministerial servants de make good name for theirself. Some people talk say Paul de talk about to get high position for church, but no be wetin e mean. Instead, e mean say ministerial servant wey e de do e work well, go get blessing from Jehovah and Jesus. And everybody for congregation go de respect and support this person. For people to study and de discuss about family history, no make sense. And this kind discussion no even make sense at all when apostle Paul write this letter to Timothy. Why? Because that time, e no dey important again to keep family record to know where person come from. E no matter to God again whether person for congregation na Jew or no be Jew. And other family record wey they write for Bible, de really prove say all the history wey they write inside Bible, really correct.

“See! Jehovah na our God”

Remember say Paul connect to worship God with to dey happy with anything wey person get. E understand say na when person de worship Jehovah the person go really dey happy. This one mean say the person go put the worship of Jehovah first for e life, no be money and property. So with food and cloth, e go fit continue to de do the work of God. (1 Timothy 6:9) But people wey they want get money by all means go fall for temptation and trap. And they go fall for plenty useless things, and things wey e go cause them pain. And na this things de put people for trouble and de destroy them.

Wetin Fit Happen to You If You Want Get Money By All Means?

The truth be say plenty people no de die because them de find plenty money. But because they want get this money by all means, they fit miss important things for life. And they fit get other problem for their life.
