Biscuits for My Dogs

“This Jehovah Witness people no only dey kind to people, but they still dey kind to my dogs. One day, Elaine, wey stand near the magazine-stand give my two small dogs biscuit. After that time, anytime wey we don de waka reach the magazine-stand, the dogs go want go meet the Jehovah Witness people so that they go chop biscuit.

“Many months pass, the dogs continue to enjoy their biscuit, and I continue to enjoy discussion with the Jehovah Witness people. But I be no want talk with them too much. I don pass 70 years for age, and I no dey sure of wetin Jehovah Witness people believe. As many church don disappoint me, I just decide say to study Bible by myself for house go better pass for me.

“Around the same time, I see other Jehovah Witness them for different-different place for the city, and they stand near their magazine-stand. Them de always smile for people too. Them de always use Bible answer my questions, and this one make me trust them more.

“One day, Elaine ask me say, ‘You believe say animals na gift from God?’ I say, ‘Yes, I really believe-am!’ Then Elaine read Isaiah 11:6-9 for me. From that time, I start to get interest to learn more from Bible, even though say I no want collect their magazine.

“As days de pass, I enjoy short but better Bible discussion with Elaine and e husband, wey e name na Brent. They advice me to read Bible book of Matthew go reach Acts, so that I go fit understand wetin e really mean to be true Christian. So I do wetin they talk. And after small time, I agree make Brent and Elaine study Bible with me. That time, na around the middle of 2016.

“Every week, I de always dey ready for my Bible study and to attend meetings for Kingdom Hall, because e de hungry me. I dey happy no be small, as I de learn wetin Bible really talk. After one year pass small, I baptize and become Jehovah Witness. Now I dey 79 years, I really thank Jehovah say I don see the true religion. Jehovah don bless me as e make me e servant and allow me to be part of e family.”
