We Decide Say We Go Make Our Life Simple

Madián and Marcela de live for Colombia, for one area wey them de call Medellín. They get everything wey they need to enjoy their life for there. Madián de get plenty money for the work wey e de do, so they get money to pay for the fine house wey them de stay. But as servants of Jehovah, something happen wey make them think about wetin really dey important for their life. They talk say, “For 2006, we go the special assembly wey the title na ‘Keep Your Eye Simple.’ Many of the talks encourage us say make we make our life simple so that we go fit do more to serve God. As we finish the assembly, we see say wetin we don de do na opposite of the things wey we don learn. We de buy just anything wey we want and plenty debt dey for our neck wey we never pay.”

After this assembly, Madián and Marcela start to make their life simple. They talk say, “We start to reduce the things wey we de buy. We pack from our house go another house wey no big reach this one, we sell our car and buy bike.” Another thing na say, they stop to de go some big-big supermarket so that e no go tempt them to buy more things. They start to spend more time to talk to their neighbors about Bible. And they start to spend more time with some friends wey be special pioneers and de use almost all their time teach people about Jehovah.a

Small time, Madián and Marcela decide to do more for their preaching work and they pack go one small village to support one congregation for there. To fit do this one, Madián stop e work. E boss no understand why e want stop this better work. So Madián ask-am say: “You de get plenty money for this work, but you dey happy?” The boss talk say true-true, e no dey happy because e get plenty problems wey e no fit solve. Madián come tell-am say: “So e no really matter how much money you de get. Wetin matter na the thing wey de really make you happy. Wetin de make me and my wife happy na to teach people about God, and we want dey happy even more na e make we want de spend more time for this work.”

Madián and Marcela really dey happy because them de use plenty time now to work for God, and they don make this work the number one thing for their life. E don pass 13 years now wey the two of them don de serve for place wey Jehovah Witness no too plenty for northwest side for Colombia. And now, them de enjoy their work as them too don be special pioneers.
