□ Service Meeting:
5 min: Start a Bible Study on the First Saturday. Demonstrate how a study may be started on the first Saturday in October using the publication Know the Truth—On DVD. Encourage all to have a share.
15 min: How Did We Do Last Year? Talk by the service overseer. Review the congregation’s activity during the past service year, focusing on the good things that were accomplished, and give appropriate commendation. Interview one or two publishers who enjoyed fine experiences. Mention one or two aspects of the ministry that the congregation can work on during the coming year, and offer practical suggestions.
10 min: Ideas for Offering the New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures—On DVD in October. Discussion. Invite the audience to suggest questions and scriptures that could be used in a presentation. Have a presentation demonstrated. The following presentation may be used: “People belong to various religions and worship God in many different ways. How do you think God feels about that? [Allow for response.] Notice what the Bible says about worshiping God in unity. [Show Ephesians 4:4.] If we worship God in the right way, we will have his blessing and his help, be happy, and avoid many problems in life. Jesus taught how to identify the true religion.” Arrange to return to consider chapter 15 of Bible Teach—On DVD.
