□ Service Meeting:
5 min: Start a Bible Study on the First Saturday. Talk. Outline local arrangements for field service on the first Saturday in February, and encourage all to have a share. Include a brief demonstration featuring Good News—On DVD, using the following sample presentation: “Many deaf people will use an interpreter while at work, school, or the doctor to relay their thoughts. It is similar with God. [Show 2 Timothy 3:16, found in Good News—On DVD, lesson 3, paragraph 1.] Whose ideas did Bible writers present? [Allow for response.] God communicated with the Bible writers by means of his holy spirit. They were writing down or relaying God’s thoughts. Who were these men God inspired?” If householder is agreeable, begin a brief Bible discussion with lesson 3, paragraph 1.
15 min: “What Are Your Spiritual Goals?” Discussion. Interview one or two publishers who reached their goal of full-time service. What encouragement did they receive from others? What obstacles did they overcome? What blessings have they enjoyed?
10 min: Use the Bible when Teaching Others. Discussion based on the April 15, 2013, issue of The Watchtower—On DVD, article 2, paragraphs 3-7. Invite audience to comment on why effective use of the Scriptures on home Bible studies is so important.
