22 With seventy souls your forefathers went down into Egypt,+ and now Jehovah your God has constituted you like the stars of the heavens for multitude.+

5 And you must answer and say before Jehovah your God, ‘My father was a perishing Syrian;*+ and he proceeded to go down to Egypt+ and to reside there as an alien with very few in number;+ but there he became a great nation, mighty and numerous.+

23 And their sons you made as many as the stars of the heavens.+ Then you brought them into the land+ that you had promised to their forefathers+ that [they] should enter to take possession.
