16 The large jar of flour itself did not get exhausted, and the small jar of oil itself did not fail,+ according to Jehovah’s word that he had spoken by means of E·liʹjah.

22 Finally Jehovah listened to E·liʹjah’s voice,+ so that the soul of the child came back within him and he came to life.+

36 And it came about at the time+ that the grain offering goes up that E·liʹjah the prophet began to approach and say: “O Jehovah, the God of Abraham,+ Isaac+ and Israel,+ today let it be known that you are God in Israel+ and I am your servant and it is by your word+ that I have done all these things.

46 And the very hand of Jehovah proved to be upon E·liʹjah,+ so that he girded up his hips+ and went running ahead of Aʹhab all the way to Jezʹre·el.+

8 Then E·liʹjah took his official garment+ and wrapped it up and struck the waters, and gradually they were divided this way and that way, so that both of them went across on the dry ground.+

11 And it came about that as they were walking along, speaking as they walked, why, look! a fiery war chariot+ and fiery horses, and they proceeded to make a separation between them both; and E·liʹjah went ascending in the windstorm to the heavens.+

12 Eventually there came a writing+ to him from E·liʹjah*+ the prophet, saying: “This is what Jehovah the God of David your forefather has said, ‘Due to the fact that you have not walked in the ways of Je·hoshʹa·phat+ your father or in the ways of Aʹsa+ the king of Judah,

17 Also, he will go before him with E·liʹjah’s*+ spirit and power, to turn back the hearts+ of fathers to children and the disobedient ones to the practical wisdom of righteous ones, to get ready for Jehovah*+ a prepared people.”+

21 And they asked him: “What, then? Are you E·liʹjah?”*+ And he said: “I am not.” “Are you The Prophet?”+ And he answered: “No!”
