9 And they began teaching+ in Judah, and with them there was the book of Jehovah’s law;+ and they kept going around through all the cities of Judah and teaching among the people.
3 And he continued to read+ aloud from it before the public square that is before the Water Gate, from daybreak+ till midday, in front of the men and the women and the other intelligent ones; and the ears+ of all the people were [attentive]+ to the book of the law.
7 For the lips of a priest are the ones that should keep knowledge, and [the] law is what people should seek from his mouth;+ for he is the messenger* of Jehovah of armies.+
52 Then he said to them: “That being the case, every public instructor,* when taught respecting the kingdom of the heavens,+ is like a man, a householder, who brings out of his treasure store things new and old.”+
