5 Consequently Jehovah his God gave him into the hand+ of the king of Syria,+ so that they struck him and carried off from him a great number of captives and brought them to Damascus.+ And also into the hand of the king of Israel+ he was given, so that he struck him with a great slaughter.

18 As for the Phi·lisʹtines,+ they made a raid upon the cities of the She·pheʹlah*+ and the Negʹeb*+ of Judah and got to capture Beth-sheʹmesh+ and Aiʹja·lon+ and Ge·deʹroth+ and Soʹco+ and its dependent towns and Timʹnah+ and its dependent towns and Gimʹzo and its dependent towns; and they took up dwelling there.

11 Finally Jehovah brought against them+ the chiefs of the army that belonged to the king of As·syrʹi·a,+ and so they captured Ma·nasʹseh in the hollows+ and bound+ him with two fetters of copper and took him to Babylon.

18 “Miʹcah*+ of Moʹresh·eth*+ himself happened to be prophesying in the days of Hez·e·kiʹah* the king of Judah+ and went on to say to all the people of Judah, ‘This is what Jehovah of armies has said: “Zion herself will be plowed up as a mere field,+ and Jerusalem herself will become mere heaps of ruins,+ and the mountain of the House will be for high places of a forest.”’+

12 Therefore on account of YOU men Zion will be plowed up as a mere field, and Jerusalem herself will become mere heaps of ruins,+ and the mountain of the house will be as the high places of a forest.
