5 Now if you will strictly obey my voice and keep my covenant, you will certainly become my special property* out of all peoples,+ for the whole earth belongs to me.+

2 Jehovah our God made a covenant with us in Horʹeb.+

9 When I went up the mountain to receive the stone tablets,+ the tablets of the covenant that Jehovah made with you,+ I remained on the mountain 40 days and 40 nights,+ eating no food and drinking no water.

19 For when Moses had spoken every commandment of the Law to all the people, he took the blood of the young bulls+ and of the goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the book and all the people, 20 saying: “This is the blood of the covenant that God has commanded you to keep.”+
