14 “‘This day will serve as a memorial for you, and you must celebrate it as a festival to Jehovah throughout your generations. As a lasting statute, you should celebrate it.

16 “‘In the first month, on the 14th day of the month, will be Jehovah’s Passover.+

16 “Observe the month of Aʹbib,* and celebrate the Passover to Jehovah your God,+ for in the month of Aʹbib, Jehovah your God brought you out of Egypt by night.+

55 Now the Passover+ of the Jews was near, and many people from the countryside went up to Jerusalem before the Passover to cleanse themselves ceremonially.
