Asambleas de Distrito de 1985
AÑO tras año los testigos de Jehová han empleado los diversos aspectos básicos de sus creencias y actividades como base para los temas de las asambleas de distrito que celebran todos los años. Entre éstos estuvieron “Fe Victoriosa”, “Trabajadores Gozosos”, “Amor Divino”, “Lealtad al Reino” y “Unidad del Reino”. El tema que se ha escogido para la asamblea de distrito de 1985 es también muy importante con relación a las actividades de ellos, a saber, “Mantenedores de Integridad”.
¡Qué importante es mantener integridad! Es tan importante que Jehová aceptó el desafío del Diablo respecto a esta cuestión, pues Jehová tenía plena confianza en que entre sus criaturas inteligentes de la Tierra habría quienes mantendrían integridad, probarían que Él es veraz y demostrarían que el Diablo es un vil y vulgar mentiroso.
El mantener integridad no es de ningún modo fácil ni sencillo. Tampoco significa seguir el proceder de menor resistencia ni hacer lo que dicte el impulso natural. Puesto que sabe lo que está envuelto en el asunto, el Diablo se vale de todo lo que esté a su alcance para obligar a los siervos de Jehová a violar su integridad. Y Satanás y sus demonios no son los únicos que se oponen a nosotros en nuestros esfuerzos por mantener integridad, sino que también tenemos que contender con su mundo inicuo, que nos somete a toda clase de tentaciones y presiones. Además, tenemos que luchar contra las tendencias pecaminosas que hemos heredado.
Para mantener integridad y luchar con éxito en contra de estos tres enemigos necesitamos toda la ayuda que podamos conseguir. La asamblea “Mantenedores de Integridad” se ha planeado con el fin de dar toda la ayuda posible a los que estén interesados en mantener su integridad para con Jehová Dios y probar que el Diablo es un mentiroso. Como en otros años, en la mayoría de los países la asamblea comenzará el jueves por la tarde, y durará cuatro días. Haga planes ahora para asistir los cuatro días, y venga preparado para beneficiarse plenamente del programa, así como para participar en otras actividades de la asamblea.
