Share Da Trut Da Right Way

WENEVA we meet one of oua braddahs an sistahs, we love fo ask, “How you wen learn da trut?” Some say dey wuz “raised in da trut.” Oddas say dey “jus wen come into da trut.” We talk about da trut lidat cuz it affeck eryting we say an do in life. We kno dat fo be paht of Jehovah’s family, we gotta love da trut an live by um.​—Songs 15:1-3.

2. (a) Wat kine rep Jesus had? (b) How peopo would reack to wat he wen teach?

² Eryting Jesus sed wuz tru. Even da guys dat neva like Jesus wen kno dat he would always tell da trut, even tho dey neva like wat he sed. (Mat 22:16) Jesus wen tell his followas how peopo would reack to wat he wen teach. He tell, “I come hea now fo split up peopo . . . One guy goin turn agains his faddah, one girl agains her muddah, one daughtah-in-law agains her muddah-in-law.” (Mat 10:35) Jesus neva like peopo reack bad to wat he sed, but he knew dat wuz goin happen. In dis lesson, we go firs talk about wea we can find da trut. An den afta dat, we go talk about why, how, an wen we should share da trut. Dis goin help us be betta at sharing da trut wit aloha an at da right time.

WEA WE CAN FIND DA TRUT?

4. Why we can say dat trut comes from Jehovah?

⁴ Da trut comes from Jehovah. He always tells da trut. Fo exampo, wat he says about wat iz right an wrong iz tru. (Songs 19:9; 119:142, 151) Eryting he tells about da future comes tru. (Isa 55:10, 11) He always keep his promises an he no can lie. (Cens 23:19, Heb 6:18) Dass why Jehovah iz da God we can trus​—Songs 31:5.

5. Why iz not hahd fo get to kno God? (Jesus Guys 17:27)

⁵ Plenny peopo say dat God no exist. An if he does, iz hahd fo get to kno him. But dass not tru, cuz all aroun us get plenny proof dat he exist. (Rome 1:20) Wen Paul wuz in Athens talking to some educated Greeks, he wen tell dem dat God like peopo “find him” an “he no stay far away from all us guys.” (Read um Jesus Guys 17:27.) Da Bible say dat Jehovah bring da humbo guys by him who stay looking fo da trut.​—John 6:44.

6. Wass some of da truts in da Bible an why you tankful fo kno dem?

⁶ One of da ways we can get to kno Jehovah iz by studying da Bible. God’s spirit wen help guys write da Bible. (2 Pet 1:20, 21) Dass why eryting inside um iz tru an we can trus um. Like, we can trus wat it say about oua universe an how life on eart wen start. (Start 1:1, 26) We can believe wat it say about how come we sin, suffa, an die. (Rome 5:12; 6:23, NWT) We can trus da Bible wen it say dat Jehovah goin use Jesus fo fix eryting dat da bulaia Satan wen do. (John 8:44; Rome 16:20) Da Bible promise dat Jesus goin wipe out da wicked, raise da dead, make da eart one paradise, an help us come perfeck. (John 11:25, 26; 1 John 3:8) We can trus all dat goin come tru. We so tankful dat Jehovah wen teach us da trut an give us da chance fo tell oddas about um.​—Mat 28:19, 20.

WHY WE SHARE DA TRUT

⁷ Like we wen talk about earlier, fo be paht of Jehovah’s ohana, we gotta tell da trut. But we gotta do moa den jus tell da trut. Cuz to Jehovah, wat matta to him iz why we tell da trut. Try look wat had happen wen Jesus wuz preaching to one big crowd by da Galilee lake. (Read um Mark 3:11, 12.) In da crowd had some demon-posses guys dat wen go down in fron Jesus an yell, “You God Boy!” How come da demons wen tell da trut about him? Cuz maybe dey wanted da peopo fo trus dem, an den dey could get da peopo fo stop serving Jehovah. Yeah, da demons wen tell da trut, but dey did um fo make demselfs look good. Dey no could fool Jesus an he wuzn’t happy bout wat dey wen do. In fact, Jesus wen tell dem not fo talk about him.

⁸ So wat we learn from dis? Wat matta to Jehovah iz why we tell da trut. Iz supa importan dat wen we teach oddas da trut about Jehovah, iz cuz we love him an we like make him look good, not us.​—Mat 5:16, NWT; go check out Jesus Guys 14:12-15.

9. Wat we gotta make shua we no do, an how come?

⁹ Try look anodda time wea we gotta make shua we no try make ouaselfs look good. Like wat if one braddah wit kuleana tell us someting confidential, an den we go tell odda peopo about um. If da guys we tell find out dat wat we sed wuz tru, dey might tink we get da inside scoops an dat we somebody importan. Dey might tink we spesho, but Jehovah not happy wen we ack lidat. (Smart Guys 11:13) How come? Cuz even tho wat we sed wuz tru, we wen share stuff we not suppose too, an wuz ony fo make ouaselfs look good.

HOW FO SHARE DA TRUT

10. Wat does it mean fo “talk wit aloha”? (Fo Da Colosse Peopo 4:6)

¹⁰ Read um Fo Da Colosse Peopo 4:6. Da aposal Paul wen remind da braddahs in Colosse fo “talk wit aloha.” Wat dat mean? Da original Greek words mean dat wen we talk we goin be nice, wat we say goin help dem, an we goin talk in one way wea dey like lissen.

¹¹ We gotta do wat Paul wen tell an talk wit aloha wen we share da trut wit oddas. Da Bible tell da trut iz like one sword dat cut deep inside fo show fo real kine how we tink an how come we do da tings we do. (Heb 4:12) But if we no use da Bible da right way wen we talk to peopo, we could make dem mad an like argue wit us. How dat could happen?

¹² Imagine in service we meet one nice guy who pray to idols an celebrate Christmas an Easter wit his ohana. We could use da Bible fo show da guy dat praying to idols iz wrong an iz not good fo celebrate Christmas an Easter cuz iz pagan. (Isa 44:14-20; 2 Cor 6:14-17, NWT) If we did dat da firs time we had talk to da guy, yeah we’d be telling da telling trut, but it wouldn’t be da bes way fo use da Bible.

13. How can we make wat we say taste good to da guys we talk to?

¹³ Paul wen tell dat wat we say should be good, jalike food wit salt on um. He neva mean dat wen we share da trut, we make um good by changing um up or hiding um. But he wuz helping us see dat wen we share da trut, we like “salt um” fo da bugga taste good fo da guys we talk to. (Job 12:11) But dass not always easy. Jus like real food, we might tink da way we like um taste, iz da way erybody else like um too. Same ting, we might tink erybody like da way we talk. But dass not tru eidda. Like, peopo from some cultures might jus say wateva dey feel, even to guys dass olda den dem. Peopo from odda cultures might tink talking lidat no show respeck. Dass why Paul sed we gotta “know how fo talk to any kine guy.” So we like make shua dat wat we say no jus taste good to us, but taste good oddas too.

14. How come Jesus neva teach his followas eryting he knew?

¹⁴ Jesus wen talk nice kine to his guys an wen teach dem plenny tings. But dey still had choke moa fo learn. (Mar 6:34) Jesus neva try teach dem eryting he knew. He wen kno how much dey could hando. An he wen kno wuzn’t da right time fo dem learn some of da truts. (John 16:12) Wat dis teach us?

Tink back to da guy who like celebrating Christmas an Easter wit his ohana. We kno Jehovah no like dese kine holidays, cuz dey pagan. But try tink, if you started fo study da Bible wit him right befoa Christmas an you show him how da Bible tell dese holidays iz no good, you tink dat would be da bes time an da bes way fo tell him dat? An you tink he goin stop celebrating um jus cuz wat you wen tell um wuz da trut? Yeah, some peopo make changes real fas, but oddas take moa time. 16. How we can help oua Bible studies “stick wit da trut”?

¹⁶ Nottin compare to how happy we feel wen we teach da trut about Jehovah. We can help peopo stick to da trut if we do dese tings: Keep bein one good exampo fo dem. (3 John 3, 4) Make shua da way you live show dat you believe dat God’s promises goin come true. Share da trut fo da right reason an give all da credit to Jehovah. Talk nice, wit aloha, an share da trut at da right time. Wen you do all dis, you prove dat you belong to Jehovah, da God we trus.
