LESSON 13

Yeekɔ ɓɔga Iisɔ Te Yɔɔzu Ɓɛtɛni

Jehovah promise Jacob that he will protect him the same way he protect Abraham and Isaac. Jacob start living in the place they call Haran, he get marry there, born plenty children and he wor really rich.

After some time, Jehovah tell Jacob say: ‘Go back to your home.’ So Jacob and his family started their long journey back to his home. While they wor on the road going, some people came to Jacob and tell him say: ‘Your brother Esau coming and he get 400 men with him!’ Jacob wor scare, he wor thinking that Esau wanted to do bad thing to him and his family. So he pray to Jehovah and say: ‘Please save me from my brother.’ The next day Jacob sent Esau plenty gift, like sheep, goats, cows, camels, and donkeys.

That night, when Jacob wor by hisself, he see one angel! He and the angel started fighting. They fight until day break. Even though the angel hurt him, but Jacob not give up. The angel tell him say: ‘Let me go.’ But Jacob say: ‘No, you will not go until you bless me.’

Finally, the angel bless Jacob. So Jacob knew that Jehovah will not let Esau to do bad thing to him.

That morning Jacob see Esau and the 400 men dem coming from far off. Jacob leave his family behind and go to his brother and bow down to him seven times. Esau run to Jacob and hug him. The two of them started crying and made peace with each other. How you think Jehovah wor feeling about the way Jacob made peace with his brother?

Later, Esau went back to his home and Jacob continue his journey. Altogether, Jacob wor having 12 sons. Their name wor Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin. Among them, Jehovah use Joseph to safe his people. You know how it happen?
