LESSON 77
Ŋaza Nui E Ɣɛni Ziɛ Yeɣei La
After the Passover, Jesus and his disciple dem pass through Samaria to go back to Galilee. When they reach near the city they call Sychar, Jesus stop to the place they call Jacob well. When he wor resting there, his disciple dem go to the city to buy food.
One woman go to the well to draw water. Jesus tell her say: “Give me water to drink.” Then she say: ‘Why you talking with me? I Samaritan woman. The Jew dem can’t talk to Samaritans.’ Jesus tell her say: ‘If you wor coming to know me, you wor going to ask me to give you water to drink. And I wor coming give you water that can give life.’ The woman ask him ‘What you mean?’ ‘You not even get bucket.’ Jesus tell her say: ‘Anybody who drink the water I will give them, they will never get thirsty again.’ The woman say: “Sir, give me the water you talking about.”
Then Jesus tell her say: ‘Go tell your husband to come.’ Then the woman tell him say: ‘I not get husband.’ Jesus say: ‘You talk the truth. You na marry five times, and the man who you living with now, that not your husband.’ Then the woman say: ‘I can see that you prophet. My people believe that we must worship God on this mountain, but the Jews say we must only worship God in Jerusalem. I believe that when the Messiah come, he will teach us how to worship.’ Then Jesus tell her something that he not tell anybody before. He tell her say: ‘That me the Messiah.’
The woman run in the city and tell the Samaritan dem say: ‘I think I na find the Messiah. He know everything about me. Yor come go see him!’ They follow her back to the well and listen to Jesus teaching.
The Samaritans invite Jesus to stay in their city. He teach them for two days. And plenty people put faith in him. They tell the Samaritan woman say: ‘After we listen to this man, we know for true, that him the person God send to come save this world.’
