Peter say he not know Jesus in Caiaphas compound

LESSON 89

Pite Boni Ga Ɛ Lɛ Ziizɛ Wõni

When Jesus wor with his apostle dem in the room upstair, he tell them say: ‘All of yor will leave me and run away tonight.’ Peter say: ‘Me, I will not do it! Even if all the other people leave you, I will not leave you.’ But Jesus tell Peter say: ‘Before the rooster crow, three times you will say you not know me.’

When the soldier people carry Jesus to Caiaphas house, most of the apostle dem run away. But two of the apostles wor in the crowd. One of them wor Peter. He go in Caiaphas compound and warm hisself side the fire. One of the servant girl see Peter face and say: ‘I know you! You wor with Jesus!’

Peter say: ‘No, I wor not with him! I not know what you talking about!’ He started going to the gate. But it not stay long another servant girl see him and tell the people say: ‘This man wor with Jesus!’ Then Peter say: ‘I not even know Jesus!’ Another man say: ‘You one of them! I can tell from the way you talking that you from Galilee, just like Jesus.’ But Peter swear and tell the man say: ‘I not know him!’

Right away, the rooster crow. Peter see Jesus turn around and Jesus look at him. Then Peter remember the thing Jesus say. He go outside and start crying.

In the meantime, the Sanhedrin decide to judge Jesus case inside Caiaphas house. They already decide to kill Jesus. So they wor just looking for reason to kill him. But they not find anything against him. Finally, Caiaphas ask Jesus: ‘You God Son?’ Jesus say: ‘Yes.’ Caiaphas say: ‘We not need any prove again. This man talking against God!’ So everybody in the court agree and say: ‘This man must die.’ They slap Jesus, spit on him, cover his face, and hit him. Then they tell him say: ‘If you prophet, tell us who hit you!’

When day break, they carry Jesus to the Sanhedrin hall and they ask him again: ‘You God Son?’ Jesus say: ‘You already saying it.’ Then they say he guilty for talking against God. So they carry him to the Roman governor Pontius Pilate house. What happen next? Let find out.
