Niitiɛ Da Maa Woli Ziizɛ Ya Tei E Wu-Ziɣini Saa Ya

“É ɣɛni wulozu te ɣaazu folo yee naagɔ yee wu yíɛ ɓɔɛ te wɔ é vile Gala na masadai va.”—TE ƔƐƐ ƲAITIƐ 1:3.

WHAT THE MAIN POINT?

We will learn how to follow Jesus example during his last 40 days on earth.

1-2. Tei Ziizɛ na kala-dopo felegɔitiɛ te ɣɛni liizu Ɛmeea, zɛɓɛi e ɣɛɛni?

ON NISAN 16, 33 C.E., two of Jesus disciples were going to one village call Emmaus. It was about 11 kilometers (7 mi) from Jerusalem. They were really feeling bad and scary. Why? Because the people just kill Jesus who they been following. So they were thinking that all the things they were expecting for the Messiah to do, was not coming happen. Then something they were not expecting happen.

2 One man came and started walking with them on the road. The disciples started telling him all the bad things that happen to Jesus. The man started telling them some things that they will never forget. “Starting with Moses and all the Prophets,” he explain to them why the Messiah suffer and die. When they reach to Emmaus, they get to know that the man they were talking with on the road, that was Jesus who God na resurrect! They were really happy to know that the Messiah na come back to life!—Luke 24:13-35.

3-4. Zɛɓɛi e ɣɛɛni ga Ziizɛ na kala-dopoitiɛ, na ɣa ɣɛɛna zɛɓɛi de vaazu maa wolizu kɔlɔ zɛvɛi nii zu? (Te Ɣɛɛ Ʋaitiɛ 1:3)

3 Jesus appear to his disciples plenty times during his last 40 days on earth.a (Read Acts 1:3.) During that time, Jesus encourage his disciples who were feeling bad and scary. So they were happy and brave to go preach and teach about God Kingdom.

4 We can benefit from studying about what Jesus do during that time. In this article, we will learn how Jesus use his last 40 days on earth (1) to encourage his disciple them, (2) to help them understand the Scriptures good-good, and (3) to train them for the work they were coming do. We will see how we can follow Jesus example in each of this thing them.

YIƐ NUMAA ƔAA NƐKPƐ

5. Zɛɓɛi e kɛɛni maa nɛɛ Ziizɛ na kala-dopoitiɛ tɔ gaa nɛkpɛ maa zɔlɔwo?

5 Why Jesus disciples needed encouragement? Some of them left their houses, families, and different-different business just to follow Jesus. (Matt. 19:27) They treat some of them bad because they were Jesus disciples. (John 9:22) The disciples made all this sacrifices because they believe that Jesus was the Messiah. (Matt. 16:16) But when Jesus die, they were discourage, and they were not having any hope again.

6. Zɛɓɛi Ziizɛ kɛɛni tei e wu-ziɣini saa ya?

6 Jesus understand that it was normal for his disciple them to feel bad when he die. He not look at it like they were not having faith. So the same day he came back to life, he started encouraging them. For example, he appear to Mary Magdalene when she was crying to his tomb. (John 20:11, 16) He also appear to the two disciples that we talk about from the beginning of this article. And he appear to the apostle Peter. (Luke 24:34) Wetin we can learn from Jesus example? Let see what happen when he appear to Mary Magdalene.

7. E ɣɛ velei Jɔ̃ 20:11-16 boga la, zɛɓɛi Meele ɣɛni kɛɛzu naazu Ziizɛ pɛtɛni, tɔwɔ zɛɓɛi Ziizɛ kɛɛni? (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa footei va.)

7 Read John 20:11-16. Soon in the morning on Nisan 16, some faithful women them went to the place where they bury Jesus. (Luke 24:1, 10) One of them that was Mary Magdalene. Let talk about her small. When Mary reach to the tomb, it was empty. She run quick-quick to tell Peter and John. The three of them started running back to the tomb. When they get to know that the tomb was empty, the men them go back home. But Mary not go. She stay there and started crying. She not even know that Jesus was looking at her. When he saw this faithful woman crying, he wanted to comfort her. So he appear to Mary and do something that encourage her. He talk with her and tell her to go tell his brothers that he na come back to life.—John 20:17, 18.

Like Jesus, try to see the problems your brothers and sisters going through and look for way to encourage them (See paragraph 7)

8. Da vile ɣɛ le Ziizɛ wɔwɔ wogi zu?

8 How we can follow Jesus example? We can do it by encouraging our brother and sister them to continue serving Jehovah. Like Jesus, if we know the problem they going through, we must try to understand how they feel and comfort them. Let see what happen to one sister name Jocelyn. Her sister die in one bad accident. She say, “I always use to be feeling bad.” But one brother and his wife invite her to their house. They take their own time to listen to her. They tell her that she important to Jehovah. She say: “It was just like I was in one big river, fighting for my life, and Jehovah use this brother and his wife to save me. They help me to get strength again to continue serving Jehovah.” We our self too can encourage other people by really listening to them when they telling us what on their heart. Then we will be able to comfort them and help them to continue serving Jehovah.—Rom. 12:15.

YƐPƐ E VILE GALA KƆLƆI VA

9. Zɛɓɛi e ɣɛɛni ga Ziizɛ na kala-dopoitiɛ, na ɣa ɣɛɛna Ziizɛ ɓɔni te va ɣɛ le?

9 Jesus disciples believe God Word and they try their best to do what it say. (John 17:6) But it was hard for them to understand why Jesus die like criminal. Jesus knew that his disciples were not bad, but they just needed to understand the Scriptures. (Luke 9:44, 45; John 20:9) So he teach them to understand the Scriptures good-good. Let see how he do it when he appear to the two disciples on the road to Emmaus.

10. Ziizɛ ɓɔni na kala-dopoitiɛ va ɣɛ le ga te laala ga towa e ga Kolai? (Luki 24:18-27)

10 Read Luke 24:18-27. Jesus not let his disciples to know right away that he the one was walking with them. But, he ask them questions. Why? Maybe he wanted them to talk what was on their heart and how they were feeling. And they tell him how they were feeling. They tell him that they were expecting Jesus to free them from the Roman government. After they finish telling him what was on their heart, Jesus use the Scriptures to help them understand what happen.b Later on that evening, Jesus spent time helping the other disciples to understand all this thing them. (Luke 24:33-48) Wetin we can learn from this?

11-12. (a) Zɛɓɛi da maa woli e vile velei va Ziizɛ Gala Kɔlɔi zu-wuloni la? (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa footei va.) (b) Nui e ɣɛni Gala Kɔlɔi lɛɛzu ga Nortey, e ɓɔni ba ɣɛ le?

11 How we can follow Jesus example? When you conducting Bible study, ask questions that will make your Bible student to talk what in their heart. (Prov. 20:5) When you understand how they feeling, show them how to find scriptures that will help them in their situation. Then try hard to not tell them what to do. But help them to understand the Scriptures and know how to apply Bible principles in their life. Let look at the experience of one brother name Nortey from Ghana.

12 When Nortey was 16 years old, he started studying the Bible. It not stay long, his family started giving him hard time. But wetin help him to continue his study? Before they even start persecuting him, his conductor use Matthew chapter 10 to explain to him that true Christians will go through persecution. Nortey say, “So when they started persecuting me, I was convince that I na find the truth.” His conductor also help him to understand Matthew 10:16 so he can be careful and respectful when he talking with his family members about the Bible. After Nortey got baptize, he really wanted to pioneer, but his pa wanted him to go to the university. Nortey conductor not tell him what to do. But he ask him questions that help Nortey to think on Bible principles so that he can make the right decision. Wetin Nortey do? He decide to pioneer. So his pa put him out. How Nortey feel about the thing them that happen to him? He say: “I convince that I made the right decision.” When we help other people to understand the Scriptures good-good, it will make their faith strong and continue serving Jehovah.—Eph. 3:16-19.

Follow Jesus example by helping other people to understand the Scriptures good-good (See paragraph 11)e

ƁƆ ZINAITIƐ VA GA TE KULOBU TE ƔƐ GA ‘FAA-NƐƐ NU ƁUSE VƐ’

13. Zɛɓɛi Ziizɛ kɛɛzu ga pulu veaitiɛ te ɣaa-ɓaa Keea na tii zu? (Ɛfɛsɔitiɛ 4:8)

13 When Jesus was on earth, he do the work just how his Pa tell him to do it. (John 17:4) But Jesus was not thinking that he the only one who was able to do the work that Jehovah wanted him to do. During the three-and-the-half-year that Jesus preach for, he also train other people to do the work. Before going back to heaven, Jesus tell his disciples to preach and teach the good news and take care of Jehovah sheep. Maybe some of his disciple them were in their 20’s. (Read Ephesians 4:8.) How Jesus use his last 40 days on earth to help this faithful and hardworking men them to qualify to be “gifts in men”?—See the study note on Ephesians 4:8.

14. Ziizɛ ɓɔni ɣɛ le na kala-dopoitiɛ va ga te wɔɔlɔ Jehova ʋeli ʋai zu folo 40 wuuzu e kɛɛni zui ma? (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa footei va.)

14 Jesus gave his disciples straight counsel but he do it with love. For example, he notice that some of them were not really believing the things that were happening, so he counsel them. (Luke 24:25-27; John 20:27) He make it clear that they must mainly focus on taking care of Jehovah people instead of their own work. (John 21:15) He remind them to not worry too much about the privileges other people will get in Jehovah service. (John 21:20-22) He correct some wrong ideas they were having about the Kingdom and he help them to focus on preaching the good news. (Acts 1:6-8) Wetin elders can learn from Jesus?

Follow Jesus example by training brothers to qualify to do more work (See paragraph 14)

15-16. (a) Kuuwu wũ-tuo veatiɛ ta vile ɣɛ le Ziizɛ na po-kɔ̃ɔ-ma zu? (b) Tɛnɛgoi kuuwu wũ-tuo nui feeni Patrick ya, e ɓɔni ba ɣɛ le?

15 How the elder them can follow Jesus example? They must train and help brothers to qualify to do more work in the congregation. They must even train young brothers.c The elder them must not expect the brothers they training to be perfect. They must give this young brother them counsel that will help them to be humble, faithful, and willing to serve other people. But the elder them must do it with love.—1 Tim. 3:1; 2 Tim. 2:2; 1 Pet. 5:5.

16 Let talk about how one brother name Patrick benefit from counsel. He never knew how to talk to other people and how to be kind. He even use to do it to sisters. One mature elder notice Patrick problem and gave him straight but loving counsel. Patrick say: “I happy he counsel me. I use to be feeling discourage when I see other brothers receiving privileges that I wanted. But the counsel the elder gave me, help me to be humble and focus on serving my brothers and sisters instead of focusing on getting privilege in the congregation.” Because of that, Patrick become elder when he was 23 years old.—Prov. 27:9.

17. Ziizɛ dɛɛni ɣɛ le ga daavɛ ga na kala-dopoitiɛ?

17 Jesus not only tell his disciples to preach but also to teach. (See “teaching them” study note on Matthew 28:20.) Maybe the disciples were feeling that they not qualify to do the work. But Jesus was convince that they able to do the work. So he tell them that he really trust them. He say: “Just as the Father has sent me, I also am sending you.”—John 20:21.

18. Kuuwu wũ-tuo veaitiɛ ta vile ɣɛ le Ziizɛ na po-kɔ̃ɔ-mai zu?

18 How the elder them can follow Jesus example? Experience elders can give other people work to do. (Phil. 2:19-22) For example, they can ask young people to clean and take care of the Kingdom Hall. After the elder them gave the brothers work to do, they can train them on how to do it and trust them that they will do it the right way. One new elder name Matthew say that he really grateful to the elder them who train him to do his assignment and trust him that he will do it good. He say, “When I make mistakes, they can help me to see that I can learn from my mistake and do better.”d

19. Zɛɓɛi maa nɛɛ de ɣaa-ɓaa ga diɛ kɛ?

19 Jesus use his last 40 days on earth to encourage, teach, and train other people. Let try our best to follow his example good-good. (1 Pet. 2:21) He will help us because he promise to do it. He say: “I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”—Matt. 28:20.

GUI 15 Praise Jehovah’s Firstborn!

a The Gospels and other Bible books show that Jesus appear to his disciples plenty different time after he come back to life. He appear: to Mary Magdalene (John 20:11-18); to other women (Matt. 28:8-10; Luke 24:8-11); to 2 disciples (Luke 24:13-15); to Peter (Luke 24:34); to the apostles except Thomas (John 20:19-24); to the apostles, including Thomas (John 20:26); to 7 disciples (John 21:1, 2); to more than 500 disciples (Matt. 28:16; 1 Cor. 15:6); to his brother James (1 Cor. 15:7); to all the apostles (Acts 1:4); and to the apostles near Bethany. (Luke 24:50-52) Maybe he appear to his disciples some other times, but the Bible not say it.—John 21:25.
