MAA WOLI WƆLƆ ZƐVƐI 10
GUI 31 Oh, Walk With God!
Vile Jehova Ɓɔga Ziizɛ Wɔwɔ Wogi Zu Ga Velei Ya Ɣi-Gaa-Ziɛ La
“Na ma tei tɔwɔ Kolai laa nɔwɔ woni nu ɓuse ŋeteai zu, a kɔɔ-wɔɔ maa-ɣili bo na ga ki-gaa-ziɛ zii ɣilagi na nɔ.”—1 PITE 4:1.
WHAT THE MAIN POINT?
We will see what the apostle Peter learn from the way Jesus can think and wetin we can learn too.
1-2. Da leve ɣɛ le de dɛ ga wõila ɣa de ya Jehova ʋaa ma na ɣa ɣɛɛna Ziizɛ ma wo-kɔ̃ɔ-ma zeini ɣɛ le?
JESUS tell us the most important command in the Bible. He say, “You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart, with your whole soul, with your whole strength, and with your whole mind.” (Luke 10:27) So he wor saying that we must love Jehovah with our everything. That mean our feelings, desires, strength and even the way we can think. That true, we not really able to understand everything about the way Jehovah can think. But we can try to think like Jehovah by studying “the mind of Christ,” because Jesus can think just like his Pa.—1 Cor. 2:16 and study note “we do have the mind of Christ.”
2 Jesus love Jehovah with his whole mind. He knew what God wanted him to do and he wor willing to do it, even though he wor going to suffer for doing it. Jesus focus on the thing his Pa tell him to do, so he not allow anything to stop him from doing the right thing.
3. Zɛɓɛi Pite maa wolini Ziizɛ ya, tɔwɔ zɛɓɛi e boni ga Kolai maa veaitiɛ te kɛ? (1 Pite 4:1)
3 Peter and the other apostle dem wor having the opportunity to spend time with Jesus, so they learn how he can think. When Peter write his first letter, he encourage the Christian dem to arm theirself with the same mental disposition like Jesus Christ. That mean they must think the same way Jesus can think.a (Read 1 Peter 4:1.) Peter use one word the soldier people can use. He say: “Arm yourself.” So if Christians learn to think like Jesus, they will be able to fight against Satan world and any wrong desire.—2 Cor. 10:3-5; Eph. 6:12.
4. Kɔlɔ zɛvɛi nii ɣa vaazu ɓɔsu de va ɣɛ le ga de ziɛ ga nii Pite boni?
4 We will learn the way Jesus can think and see how we can follow his example. So this article will help us to learn how we can (1) think like Jehovah, (2) be humble, and (3) be sound in mind.
ƔI-GAA-ZIƐ GA VELEI JEHOVA ƔA ƔI-GAA-ZIƐ LA
5. Siɛgi ta zu Pite dɛɛni ɣɛ le ga lɛ ɣɛni ɣi-gaa-ziɛzu ga velei Jehova ɣɛni ɣi-gaa-ziɛzu la?
5 One time, Peter not think like Jehovah. Jesus just finish telling his apostle dem that he will go to Jerusalem, they will catch him and turn him over to the religious leader dem. They will suffer him, beat him and kill him. (Matt. 16:21) It wor hard for Peter to understand why Jehovah will allow Jesus, the promise Messiah and the hope for Israel to die. (Matt. 16:16) So Peter carry Jesus on the side and say: “Lord, don’t say this kindna thing dem about yourself. This thing dem will not happen to you at all.” (Matt. 16:22) Because Peter wor not thinking like Jehovah, Jesus not agree with him.
6. Ziizɛ dɛɛni ɣɛ le ga e ɣɛni ɣi-gaa-ziɛzu ga velei Jehova ɣɛni ɣi-gaa-ziɛzu la?
6 Jesus wor thinking just like his Pa Jehovah. So he tell Peter say: “Get behind me, Satan! You stopping me from doing God will because you not thinking like God but you thinking like human being.” (Matt. 16:23) Jesus knew that to do Jehovah will, he wor coming suffer and die. So Jesus refuse to take Peter advice, even though Peter wor thinking that he wor helping Jesus. This one help Peter to learn to think the way Jehovah can think, and that good lesson here for us.
7. Pite dɛɛni ɣɛ le ga e Jehova na ki-gaa-ziɛi ɣaa ɣaani? (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa footei va.)
7 Later on, Peter show that he wor thinking like Jehovah. It wor time now for Gentiles who not circumcise to be part of God people. So, God send Peter to preach to Cornelius who wor among the first Gentiles to be Christian. The Jews and the Gentiles never use to see eye to eye. So you can see why Peter needed help to prepare for his assignment. When Peter get to know that the thing God wanted, he change his way of thinking. So, when Cornelius tell Peter to go visit him, he go without asking question. (Acts 10:28, 29) Peter preach to he and his whole family, and they get baptize.—Acts 10:21-23, 34, 35, 44-48.

8. Da leve ɣɛ le de dɛ ga da ɣi-gaa-ziɛzu ga velei Jehova ɣi-gaa-ziɛzu la? (1 Pite 3:8 ɓɔga nii ponɛi e vile ba)
8 After some years, Peter encourage his brother and sister dem to “think in agreement.” (Read 1 Peter 3:8 and footnote.) We Jehovah people can think in agreement by learning to think like Jehovah according to what we learn from the Bible. For example, Jesus encourage his disciple dem to put the Kingdom first in their life. (Matt. 6:33) So maybe one publisher in your congregation will decide to go full-time service. Instead of saying something that will discourage the person, we must say good-good things about his goal and try to help him.
ƔƐ GA KOLO NU
9-10. Ziizɛ dɛɛni ɓɔɔ ɣɛ le ga tɔ ga kolo nu?
9 The night before Jesus die, he teach Peter and the other apostle dem one important lesson about how to be humble. Before that, Jesus send Peter and John to get things ready for the last time he will eat with his apostle dem before he die. They suppose to get the basin and the towels ready for the guests to wash their foot before they eat. But who wor coming bring theirself down to do this kindna work when the time come?
10 Jesus not waste time to do this work, he show that he wor really humble. His apostle dem mouth wor full because he wor doing something that servant suppose to do. Jesus take off his coat, wrap the towel around him, put water in the basin, and start washing their foot. (John 13:4, 5) It take some time to wash all his 12 apostle dem foot. He even wash Judas foot, who wor coming betray him. But Jesus wor humble and he finish the work. Then Jesus take his own time to tell them say: “Do you understand what I have done to you? You address me as ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are correct, for I am such. Therefore, if I, the Lord and Teacher, washed your feet, you also should wash the feet of one another.”—John 13:12-14.
To really be humble get something to do with the way we think about ourself and other people
11. Pite dɛɛni ɣɛ le sa ga tɔ ga kolo nu? (1 Pite 5:5) (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa footei va.)
11 Peter learn from Jesus about how to be humble. After Jesus go back to heaven, Peter perform one miracle by healing the man who wor cripple from the time he wor born. (Acts 1:8, 9; 3:2, 6-8) Plenty people see this miracle and they come around Peter. (Acts 3:11) Peter not use this situation to make big mouth, even though he grow up in the area where people like to show theirself and they like power business. He gave all the praise to Jehovah and Jesus, not to hisself. He say: “Through [Jesus’] name, and by our faith in his name, this man whom you see and know has been made strong.” (Acts 3:12-16) The thing dem Peter write in one letter to the Christians about how to be humble, remind us about the time Jesus wrap the towel around hisself and wash his apostle dem foot.—Read 1 Peter 5:5.
After Peter perform one miracle, he wor humble and gave the praise to Jehovah and Jesus. We ourself too can show that we humble by doing good without expecting other people to praise us or give us something back (See paragraphs 11-12)
12. Da wulo ɣɛ le ga Pite ɣavele ga de ɣɛ ga kolo vea?
12 We can follow Peter example to learn how to be humble. Remember, to be humble not just something we can say in our mouth. The word Peter use for humility that “lowliness of mind.” It carry the idea of how we take ourself and how we look at other people. We must do things for other people because we love Jehovah and we love them, not because we want them to praise us. We can show that we humble if we happy to serve Jehovah and do things for our brother dem even if other people not see it.—Matt. 6:1-4.
ƔƐ GA “KELE-ƔELE NU YA ƔI-GAA-ZIƐi ZU”
13. Ya leve ɣɛ le e ɣɛ ga “kele-ɣele nu ya ɣi-gaa-ziɛi zu?”
13 What it mean to be “sound in mind”? (1 Pet. 4:7) The Christian who sound in mind can try his best to make good decisions that show that he thinking like Jehovah. That person know that nothing in life more important pass his friendship with Jehovah. He can’t take hisself too big because he not feel that he know everything. And he can show that he depending on Jehovah by praying to him all the time.b
14. Siɛgi ta zu Pite dɛɛni ɣɛ le ga lɛ ɣɛni yee laani Jehova ma?
14 The night before Jesus die, he tell his disciple dem say: “All of yor will leave me, because of what will happen to me tonight.” Peter make big mouth and say: “Even if all the other people will leave you, I will never leave you!” That night Jesus encourage some of his disciple dem. He say: “Yor keep on the watch and continue to pray.” (Matt. 26:31, 33, 41) If Peter wor coming follow that advice from the beginning, he wor coming to be brave to say he know Jesus. But Peter lie and say he not know his Master, then later on he start feeling bad.—Matt. 26:69-75.
15. Ziizɛ dɛɛni ɣɛ la ga e yee laani Jehova ma?
15 Jesus depend on Jehovah with his whole heart. He always use to pray even though he wor perfect. That what make him brave to do what Jehovah wanted him to do. (Matt. 26:39, 42, 44; John 18:4, 5) Peter never forget about how Jesus always use to pray.
16. Pite dɛɛni ɣɛ le ga tɔ ga kele-ɣele nu na ki-gaa-ziɛi zu? (1 Pite 4:7)
16 After some time, Peter learn to depend more on Jehovah in prayer. The time Jesus come back to life, he encourage Peter and the other apostle dem. He tell them that they will receive holy spirit so they can be able to preach the good news. But Jesus tell them to wait in Jerusalem until it happen. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4, 5) Wetin Peter wor doing when he wor waiting? He and the other Christian dem “were persisting in prayer.” (Acts 1:13, 14) Later on, in his first letter, Peter encourage his brother and sister dem to be sound in mind and depend on Jehovah in prayer. (Read 1 Peter 4:7.) Peter learn to depend on Jehovah and he help to encourage his brother and sister dem in the congregation.—Gal. 2:9.
17. Ani ɓalaa de zoogɛ fai taniga ɣɛɛzu, zɛɓɛi maa nɛɛ de ɣaa-ɓa diɛ kɛ? (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa footei va.)
17 If we want be sound in mind, we must continue praying to Jehovah. Even if we know how to do certain thing good-good, we must continue praying to Jehovah. So when we get important decisions to make, we must pray to Jehovah to help us because he know what good for us.
Peter learn to depend on Jehovah in prayer. We too can be sound in mind by praying to Jehovah for help, especially when we get important decisions to make (See paragraph 17)c
18. Da leve ɣɛ le diɛ ɣi-gaa-ziɛ ga velei Jehova ɣa ɣi-gaa-ziɛ la?
18 We want tell Jehovah thank you plenty for making us in the way that we able to show his quality dem. (Gen. 1:26) To talk the truth, we not able to do it exactly like Jehovah. (Isa. 55:9) But like Peter, it possible for our thinking to be in line with God thinking. We can do it by trying to think like Jehovah, be humble, and be sound in mind.
