GUI 111 Our Reasons for Joy

E Niitiɛ Koni Ya Ɓɔ E Va, Ga Niitiɛ Te E Ya Te E Yii La?

“Gè faa maa wolia ga togi nɛpɛ gè ɣɛ su ná zìi la.”—FEL. 4:11.

WHAT THE MAIN POINT?

We will learn that when we grateful, humble and think good-good about the thing dem Jehovah promise, it will help us to be satisfy.

1. Ta ɣɛna tea nii e de ya na de yii la, su-wulo-zu ɣa ga zɛɓɛ, na ɣa ɣɛɛna su-wulo-zu lɛ ga zɛɓɛ?

YOU satisfy with what you get? Somebody who satisfy can be happy by focusing on the thing dem they get. The person can’t feel bad or get vex because they not get the thing dem they want. But to be satisfy not mean you must just fold your hand and sit down. For example, we can look for way to do more for Jehovah. (Rom. 12:1; 1 Tim. 3:1) Even if we not get the privilege dem we expecting now-now, we can still be happy.

2. Nii e de ya ani lɛ de yii laani, zɛɓɛi e kɛɛ towa ɣɛ ga faa yowũ?

2 When we not satisfy with what we get, sometime we can get in serious problem. People who not satisfy with what they get can always do overtime, because they want get material things that they not really need. Sad to say, some Christian dem na even steal money or take other thing dem that they like. Sometime they can tell theirself say, ‘I deserve it,’ ‘I na stay long waiting.’ Or sometime they can say, ‘I will pay the money back.’ But Jehovah hate any kindna stealing. (Prov. 30:9) Some people na even stop serving Jehovah altogether because they not get the privilege that they want. (Gal. 6:9) Wetin can make somebody who serving Jehovah to think like that? Maybe that because the person not satisfy with what they get.

3. Gaama zɛɓɛi da maa woli Felepaitiɛ 4:11, 12 zu?

3 All of us can learn to be satisfy. The apostle Paul say that he na “learned to be self-sufficient regardless of [his] circumstances.” (Read Philippians 4:11, 12.) He write this one the time he wor in jail. With all this one, he wor still happy. He learn how to be satisfy. So if we finding it hard to be satisfy, we can learn from what Paul say and the thing dem he pass through. We must not feel that it will be easy for us to just be satisfy with our situation. We need to learn to be satisfy. How we can do it? Let talk about some quality dem that will help us learn how to be satisfy.

ƔƐ GA MAMA FE NU

4. Ani da ɣɛna mama feezu, na ɣa ɓɔ de va ɣɛ le de yii la nii ʋaa ma e de ya? (1 Tɛsɛlonaikaitiɛ 5:18)

4 It can be easy for somebody who grateful to be satisfy. (Read 1 Thessalonians 5:18.) For example, when we grateful for the thing dem we get, we will not think too much about the thing dem we not get. When we think on the privilege dem we enjoying now-now and we grateful for it, we will focus on doing our best instead of worrying on getting different privilege. That the reason why the Bible tell us to tell Jehovah thank you when we praying to him! When we grateful, it can help us to get “the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.”—Phil. 4:6, 7.

5. Zɛɓɛi e kɛɛ maa nɛɛ Yezɔitiɛ tɔ ɣɛ ga mama fee vea? (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa footei va.)

5 Let see what happen to the Israelite dem. Plenty time, they use to complain to Jehovah that they wor not eating the kindna food they use to eat in Egypt. (Num. 11:4-6) That true, the time they wor in the wilderness, life wor not easy. But wetin wor coming help them to be satisfy? They suppose to think on all the good-good thing dem Jehovah na already do for them and be grateful. For example, when the people from Egypt wor treating them bad, Jehovah perform ten different-different miracles to destroy the Egyptians. After Jehovah free the Israelite dem, he help them to take plenty silver, gold, and clothes from the Egyptians. (Ex. 12:35, 36) When the Egyptians wor running behind the Israelite dem and they reach to the Red Sea, Jehovah perform miracle again and divide the water for the Israelite dem to pass. When they wor in the wilderness, he use to give them manna every day. But what wor the problem? Food business wor not their problem. Their main problem wor that, they wor not grateful for all the thing dem they wor having.

Some Israelite dem expressing their feelings to Moses about how they not satisfy with the manna they been getting. Other people near them continue packing the manna and looking at them.

Wetin make the Israelite dem to not be satisfy? (See paragraph 5)

6. Pele taniga ta ga zɛɓɛ ya ɓɔ de va de ɣɛ ga mama fee vea?

6 What some ways we can learn to be grateful? (1.) Take time every day to think about the good-good thing dem that can make you happy. Maybe you can write two or three things that you grateful for. (Lam. 3:22, 23) (2.) Make sure to tell other people thank you when they do good things for you. And the main one that to always tell Jehovah thank you. (Ps. 75:1) (3.) Make friend with people who grateful. When we make friend with people who grateful, we will be grateful too. But when we make friend with people who can complain, we will be just like them. (Deut. 1:26-28; 2 Tim. 3:1, 2, 5) When we always look for ways to be grateful, we will not worry too much about the thing dem we not get.

7. Aci leveni ɣɛ le e ɣɛ ga mama fee nu, tɔwɔ kulo su-nu-ma zɛɓɛi e maa zɔlɔwoni?

7 Let see what happen to one sister name Aci, who living in Indonesia. She say: “During the corona virus time I started comparing my situation with other brothers and sisters. Because of that, I wor not satisfy.” (Gal. 6:4) But wetin help her to change the way she wor thinking? She say, “I started thinking on the blessings I wor getting every day and the plenty good-good thing dem I na get because I part of Jehovah organization. Then I always use to tell Jehovah thank you. Because of that, I start feeling satisfy.” If you not feeling happy because of your situation, you can do the same thing that Aci do so you can be happy again.

ƔƐ GA KOLO NU NA ƔA ƔƐƐNA E ƔAAZU ƁADO NIITIƐ VA YA ƔƐ KƐƐZU

8. Beli zɛɓɛi e Bɛlu zoni?

8 Baruch wor the secretary for the prophet Jeremiah. But certain time, Baruch wor not satisfy with his situation. When Jeremiah wor giving one strong message to the Isrealite dem who wor not grateful, Baruch wor helping him. So that not small work Baruch wor doing. But certain time Baruch wor not focus again. He start thinking too much about hisself and what he wanted to do, instead of thinking on what Jehovah wanted him to do. So Jehovah use Jeremiah to tell Baruch say: “You are seeking great things for yourself. Stop seeking such things.” (Jer. 45:3-5) Jehovah wor just telling him say: “Be satisfy with what you get.” Baruch listen to that advice and Jehovah continue to be happy with him.

9. E ɣɛ velei 1 Kɔlĩitiɛ 4:6, 7 boga la, ani da ɣɛ na ga kolo nu towa kɛ de ɣi-gaa-ziɛ ɣɛ le? (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa footeitiɛ va.)

9 Sometime, we can feel that we suppose to get certain privilege. Maybe because we know how to do certain thing good, we hardworking, or we get experience. Or we can do all this thing dem. But maybe somebody will get the privilege that we really want. Wetin will help us to not feel bad? We can think on what the apostle Paul say in 1 Corinthians 4:6, 7. (Read.) Anything we able to do or any privilege we get, coming from Jehovah. We not get it because we work for it or we suppose to get it. Jehovah give it to us because he kind to us and he love us.—Rom. 12:3, 6; Eph. 2:8, 9.

10. Da leve ɣɛ le de ɣɛ ga kolo nu?

10 We can learn to be humble by following Jesus example. Just think on what happen the night that Jesus wash his desciple dem foot. The apostle John say: “Jesus knew [1] that the Father na put every thing in his hand and [2] he came from God and [3] he wor going back to God, he started washing his disciple dem foot.” (John 13:3-5) It wor easy for Jesus to feel that his disciple dem suppose to wash his foot. But when he wor on earth he never use to feel that everything must be easy for him. (Luke 9:58) Jesus wor humble and satisfy. He set good example for us.—John 13:15.

11. Tei Dennis ɣɛni ga kolo nu, na ɓɔni ba ɣɛ le?

11 One brother from the Netherlands name Dennis say that he been trying hard to be humble like Jesus, but it not easy. He say: “Sometime when somebody get the privilege that I want, I can get vex because I feel, that me suppose to get it. When I start thinking like that, I can study about how to be humble. In the JW Library® app, I mark certain Bible verse dem about how to be humble so it can be easy for me to find them and read them again. I na also download some talks on my phone about how to be humble, and I can listen to them most of the time.a I na learn that the main reason we can do all this work dem that to praise Jehovah, not ourself. All of us get our small part to play in the thing dem Jehovah doing.” If you start feeling that you not satisfy with your situation, do some thing dem that will help you to be humble. It will make your friendship with Jehovah more strong and help you to be satisfy.—Jas. 4:6, 8.

YIƐ ƔI-GAA-ZIƐ YA ƔI-TOGITIƐ MA

12. Ki-togi e de ya ŋinaa ŋeteai ʋaa ma, towa ɓɔ de va ɣɛ le ga nii e de ya na de yii la? (Isaiah 65:21-25)

12 We can feel more satisfy when we think on the good-good thing dem Jehovah promise to do for us. The book of Isaiah tell us that Jehovah understand that we going through plenty problems. It also say that Jehovah will free us from all this problem dem. (Read Isaiah 65:21-25.) We will live in good house and feel save. We will enjoy our work and eat good food. We will not worry again that bad things will happen to we and our children dem. (Isa. 32:17, 18; Ezek. 34:25) We get wonderful future, and we sure that it will happen.

13. Faa taniga ta ga zɛɓɛ ya ɣɛna laazu de ma, maa nɛɛ de ɣaazu ɓado ki-togi va e de ya?

13 Now-now, that the main time for us to focus on the thing dem Jehovah promise. Why? Because we living in “the last days” and all of us going through problems that “hard to deal with.” (2 Tim. 3:1) Jehovah can help us every day to bear all this problem dem by giving us advice, strength and the thing dem we need. (Ps. 145:14) Beside that, our hope can help us to bear the problem dem we going through. Maybe it not easy for you to provide for your family. You think it mean that it will always be like that with you? No. Jehovah na promise to give you what you need, and he will give you plenty other thing dem in Paradise. (Ps. 9:18; 72:12-14) Maybe you fighting with some kindna serious sickness. You think that how it will be with you forever? No. Sickness and death will not be in God new world. (Rev. 21:3, 4) That hope can make us to be satisfy and not feel too bad about the thing dem that happening to us now-now. We can be satisfy even if somebody not treat us fair, somebody die from us, we bearing some kindna serious sickness, or any other problem. Why? Because no matter what kindna problem we going through, we know that it just for short time. And in the new world all this problem dem will finish forever.—2 Cor. 4:17, 18.

14. Ki-togi e de ya da suɓaa ɣɛ le?

14 Since hope can really help us to be satisfy, how we can make it more strong? One way that to imagine ourself in Paradise. When we worrying too much about money business, we must imagine how our life will be in Paradise when nobody will be poor and we will not need money. If we feeling discourage because we not get certain privilege yet, we can think on how it not important when we compare it to how we will serve Jehovah for plenty years. (1 Tim. 6:19) Sometime it can be hard for us to think about the future because of the plenty problem dem we going through now-now. But the more we think about the future that Jehovah promise us, it will be easy for us to focus on it.

15. Zɛɓɛi e maa wolia nii zu Christa boga?

15 Let see how hope help Christa. Her husband that Dennis who we talk about before. She say: “I get some kindna serious sickness that make me to be in wheelchair. And it can make me to spend most of the time laying down. I can feel pain every day. This few time my doctor tell me that I will not get better. The first thing I think on that, ‘He not looking at the future the way I looking at it.’ I focus on my hope and it make my heart to lay down. That true, today I going through problem in this world. But in the new world I will really enjoy my life!”

“NllTIƐ TE LUOZU BA TƐLƐ VELAGA ŊƐNI TA NƐPƐ MA.”

16. Zɛɓɛi e kɛɛ Masagi Deeve ponɛni ga nui ya luo Jehova va “lɛ velaga ŋɛni ta nɛpɛ ma”?

16 Even if we satisfy, we will still face problems. For example, three of King David children die from him. People lie on him, betray him, and for plenty years, they even run behind him to kill him. Even though he wor going through all this problem dem, see what he say about Jehovah. He say: “Those who fear him lack nothing.” (Ps. 34:9, 10) Wetin make him to say this one? That because we who serving Jehovah, we know that everything will not be bread and butter now-now. But we convince that He will give us the thing dem we really need. (Ps. 145:16) And we can depend on Jehovah to help us go through all our problem dem. So no matter our situation, we able to be satisfy.

17. Zɛɓɛi e kɛɛ e wõini e niitiɛ kwɛ̃ɛ ya ɓɔ e va ga niitiɛ te e ya te e yii la?

17 Jehovah want you to be satisfy. (Ps. 131:1, 2) So try hard to learn how to be satisfy. If you try hard to learn to be grateful, to be focus and humble, and make your hope more strong, you will be able to say: Yes, I satisfy.—Ps. 16:5, 6.
