“UJesu Uyazinakekela Izimvu Zakhe”

(UJohane 10:1-3) “Ngikhuluma iqiniso ukuthi umuntu ongangeni ngesango esibayeni sezimvu, kodwa akhwele kwenye indawo, ulisela lomphangi. 2 Umuntu ongena ngesango nguye umalusi wezimvu. 3 Umlindi uyamvulela isango, lezimvu ziyalilalela ilizwi lakhe. Izimvu zakhe uzibiza ngamabizo azikhokhele.

Isibaya sasiyindawo evalekileyo eyayenzelwe ukuvikela izimvu ezinyamazaneni eziyingozi lokuthi zingantshontshwa ngamasela. Ebusuku abelusi babevalela imihlambi yabo esibayeni ukuze ivikeleke. Izibaya zasendulo zazingelaphahla njalo zazitshiyene indlela ezakhiwe ngayo lobukhulu bazo. Ezinengi zazakhiwe ngamatshe futhi zilesango elilodwa. (Nan 32:16; 1Sa 24:3; Zef 2:6) UJohane ukhuluma ‘ngokungena ngesango’ elalilindwa ‘ngumlindi.’ (Joh 10:1, 3) Esibayeni sesigaba kwakuvalelwa imihlambi engaphezu kowodwa futhi umlindi wayehlala ephapheme ukuze avikele izimvu. 5 Ngokomfanekiso, ubuhlobo bomalusi nezimvu zakhe busekelwe olwazini nasekwethembaneni. Umalusi wazi konke ngezimvu zakhe futhi nazo ziyamazi futhi ziyamethemba. Ziyalazi izwi lakhe futhi ziyalilalela. UJesu wathi: “Ngiyazazi izimvu zami nezimvu zami ziyangazi.” Ulazi kahle ibandla. Igama lesiGreki lapha elihunyushwe ngokuthi “azi” lisho “ukwazi umuntu noma into mathupha futhi uyazele eduze.” Yebo, uMalusi Omuhle uzazi mathupha izimvu zakhe. “Lingisela Isihawu SikaJesu”

(UJohane 11:23-26) UJesu wathi kuye, “Umnewenu uzavuka njalo.” 24 UMatha waphendula wathi, “Ngiyazi ukuthi uzavuka futhi ekuvukeni kwabafileyo ngosuku lokucina.” 25 UJesu wathi kuye, “Mina ngiyikuvuka kwabafileyo lokuphila. Lowo okholwa kimi uzaphila, loba ezakufa; 26 njalo lowo ophilayo njalo ekholwa kimi kasoze afa lanini. Uyakukholwa lokhu na?”

Ngiyazi ukuthi uzavuka: UMatha wayecabanga ukuthi uJesu wayekhuluma ngokuvuswa kwabafileyo okwakuzenzakala ngosuku lokucina. (Khangela umcijo wokutaditsha okuJohane 6:39.) Ukholo ayelalo ekuvusweni kwabafileyo lwalumangalisa. Abanye abakhokheli benkolo bangalesosikhathi okuthiwa ngabaSadusi babengavumi ukuthi abafileyo bazavuswa lanxa lokhu kuyimfundiso ecacileyo eseBhayibhilini. (Dan 12:13; Mak 12:18) AbaFarisi bona babekholwa ukuthi umphefumulo kawufi. UMatha wayekwazi ukuthi uJesu wayefundisa ngokuvuswa kwabafileyo njalo wayeseke wavusa abanye. Kodwa uLazaro nguye yedwa owavuswa eselamalanga amanengi efile.

Mina ngiyikuvuka kwabafileyo lokuphila: Ukufa kukaJesu lokuvuswa kwakhe kwavulela abafileyo ithuba lokuphinda baphile. UJesu esevusiwe, uJehova wamnika amandla okuvusa abafileyo kanye lawokupha abantu ukuphila okungapheliyo. (Khangela umcijo wokutaditsha okuJohane 5:26.) KuSambulo 1:18, uJesu uthi yena ‘ungophilayo’ futhi ‘uphethe izivulo zokufa kanye lendawo yabafileyo.’ Ngakho uJesu ulithemba labaphilayo lelabafileyo. Wathembisa ukuvusa abafileyo ukuze abanye bayebusa laye ezulwini njalo abanye bahlale emhlabeni omutsha bebuswa nguhulumende wakhe wasezulwini.—Joh 5:28, 29; 2Pe 3:13.

(UJohane 11:33-35) UJesu embona ekhala, kanye labaJuda ababemlandele labo bekhala, wadabuka kakhulu emoyeni, wakhathazeka. 34 Wabuza wathi, “Limbeke ngaphi na?” Baphendula bathi, “Woza uzobona, Nkosi.” 35 UJesu wakhala.

Ibala leli lesiGrikhi elihunyutshwe ngokuthi “wadabuka” (em·bri·maʹo·mai) landise ukutsho imizwa elamandla kodwa endabeni le litshengisa ukuthi uJesu wezwa ubuhlungu kangangokuthi wadabuka emoyeni. Ibala lesiGrikhi elihunyutshwe ngokuthi “wakhathazeka” (ta·rasʹso) litsho ukuhlulukelwa. Esinye isikhwicamfundo sithi lapha litsho “ukudungeka kwemizwa; ukuzwa ubuhlungu kakhulu kumbe usizi olukhulu.” Ibala elifananayo liyasetshenziswa lakuJohane 13:21 ukuze kuchasiswe indlela uJesu ezwa ngayo lapho ecabanga ngokuthi uJudasi uzamthengisa.—Khangela umcijo wokutaditsha okuJohane 11:35.

UJesu wayekwazi ukuthi uzamvusa uLazaro kodwa kwakumzwisa ubuhlungu ukubona abangane bakhe abathandayo besizwa ubuhlungu. Wakhala bonke bembona ngenxa yokuthi wayebathanda abangane bakhe futhi ebazwela kakhulu. Indaba le itshengisa ukuthi uJesu uyabazwela labo abafelwa yizihlobo zabo kanye labangane ngenxa yesono sika-Adamu.

(Nan 35:25) Kodwa ngesikhathi ama-Israyeli esebuswa ngamaRoma, amaRoma yiwo ayesefaka kumbe akhiphe umuntu esikhundleni lesi. UKhayafasi owayefakwe ngamaRoma wayengummeli wawo okhaliphileyo njalo nguye owahlala esikhundleni leso ukwedlula bonke abamlandelayo. Wafakwa esikhundleni ngabo-18 C.E. njalo wahlala kwaze kwaba ngabo-36 C.E. “Sengilenzele Isibonelo”

(UJohane 13:5) Ngemuva kwalokho wasethela amanzi enditshini waseqalisa ukugezisa izinyawo zabafundi bakhe, wazesula ngethawulo leyo ayezibophe ngayo.

ukugezisa izinyawo zabafundi bakhe: Ngesikhathi sama-Israyeli, abantu babejayele ukugqoka amanyathela. Ayeyisoli elentambo nje kuphela eyayibotshelwa enyaweni lasenqagaleni, yikho inyawo zesihambi zazingcola nxa sihamba endaweni elubhuqu loba elodaka. Yikho kwakungumkhuba ukuthi umuntu akhiphe amanyathela akhe nxa engena endlini futhi umninimuzi olomusa wayesiba leqiniso lokuthi inyawo zesihambi ziyageziswa. Kulamavesi amanengi eBhayibhilini akhuluma ngomkhuba lo. (Gen 18:4, 5; 24:32; 1Sa 25:41; Luk 7:37, 38, 44) Ngesikhathi uJesu egezisa izinyawo zabafundi bakhe, wayesenza umkhuba lo ukuze abafundise ukuthi bathobeke njalo benzele abanye izinto ezithile.

(UJohane 13:12-14) Eseqedile ukugezisa izinyawo zabo, wagqoka izigqoko zakhe wasebuyela endaweni yakhe. Wababuza wathi, “Kambe liyakuzwisisa na esengilenze khona? 13 Lingibiza lithi ‘Mfundisi’ lokuthi ‘Nkosi’, lisitsho liqondile, ngoba ngiyikho lokho. 14 Manje-ke njengoba mina, iNkosi yenu loMfundisi, sengigezise izinyawo zenu, lani limele ligezisane izinyawo.

Umuntu Omkhulu Kunabo Bonke Wenza Inkonzo Ephansi

Ngokugeza izinyawo zabafundi bakhe, uJesu wanikeza isifundo esinamandla sokuthobeka. Ngempela, amaKristu akufanele acabange ukuthi abaluleke kangangokuthi abanye kufanele bahlale bekhonza wona, futhi akufanele alwele ukuthola izikhundla zodumo nokuba ngabalulekile. Kunalokho, kufanele alandele isibonelo esabekwa uJesu, ‘ongezelanga ukukhonzwa, kodwa ukukhonza nokunikela umphefumulo wakhe ube isihlengo esenana abaningi.’ (Mathewu 20:28) Yebo, abalandeli bakaJesu kufanele bazimisele ukwenzelana izinkonzo eziphansi kunazo zonke.

Mina ngiyiyo indlela njalo ngiliqiniso lokuphila: UJesu uyindlela ngoba nguye kuphela owenza senelise ukuthandaza kuNkulunkulu. Uyindlela futhi ngoba wenza abantu babuyisane loNkulunkulu. (Joh 16:23; Rom 5:8) UJesu uliqiniso ngoba wakhuluma iqiniso futhi waphila ngalo. Wagcwalisa iziphrofetho ezinengi ezitshengisa lokho okwakumele akwenze ukuze injongo kaNkulunkulu igcwaliseke. (Joh 1:14; Sam 19:10) Iziphrofetho lezo zaba “‘nguyebo’ [kumbe zagcwaliseka] ngaye.” (2Kr 1:20) UJesu uyikuphila ngoba ngenhlawulo, wenza ukuthi abantu bonke bathole ‘ukuphila okuqotho’ okutsho “ukuphila okungapheliyo.” (1Ti 6:12, 19; Efe 1:7; 1Jo 1:7) Uzatshengisa futhi ukuthi uyikuphila ebantwini abanengi abazavuswa baphile ePharadayisi phakade.—Joh 5:28, 29.

“Kalisibo Abomhlaba”

(UJohane 15:19) Ngabe belingabawo umhlaba ubuzalithanda njengabawo. Ikanti kalisibo abomhlaba, kodwa ngilikhethe lisemhlabeni. Yikho umhlaba ulizonda.

umhlaba: Endabeni le ibala lesiGrikhi elithi koʹsmos likhuluma ngabantu bomhlaba lo abangayisizo zinceku zikaNkulunkulu, okutsho abantu abenza izinto ezimbi. UJohane nguye yedwa okhuluma amazwi akhulunywa nguJesu athi abafundi bakhe kabasibo bomhlaba. ngenxa yebizo lami: Ngezinye izikhathi eBhayibhilini ibala elithi ibizo litsho umnikazi walo, ukuthi waziwa ngani kanye lomsebenzi wakhe. (Khangela umcijo wokutaditsha okuMathewu 6:9.) Ibizo likaJesu lalo limela amandla kanye lesikhundla asiphiwe nguYise. (Mat 28:18; Flp 2:9, 10; Heb 1:3, 4) Lapha uJesu uchasisa ukuthi kungani abantu bomhlaba bengaphikisana labalandeli bakhe, lokhu kungenxa yokuthi kabamazi lowo othume uJesu. Ukwazi uNkulunkulu kuzabanceda ukuthi bazwisise futhi bavume lokuthi ibizo likaJesu limelani. (ImiS 4:12) Lokhu kugoqela isikhundla sikaJesu sokuba yiNkosi ebekwe nguNkulunkulu, iNkosi yamakhosi, okumele bonke abantu bayikhothamele ukuze bathole ukuphila.—Joh 17:3; Sam 19:11-16; Hu 2:7-12.

(UJohane 16:33) “Ngilitshelile izinto lezi ukuze kuthi kimi libe lokuthula. Kulo umhlaba lizakuba lokuhlupheka. Kodwa yimani isibindi! Sengiwunqobile umhlaba.”

Isibindi

UmKhristu kumele abe lesibindi ukuze ahlale ethembekile kuJehova uNkulunkulu lanxa umhlaba umzonda lokuthi angacini ecabanga futhi esenza njengabantu bomhlaba lo abahlukaniswe loNkulunkulu. UJesu watshela abafundi bakhe wathi: “Kulo umhlaba lizakuba lokuhlupheka. Kodwa yimani isibindi! Sengiwunqobile umhlaba.” (Joh 16:33) INdodana kaNkulunkulu kayizange yenze njengabantu bomhlaba kodwa yawunqoba umhlaba ngokungenzi njengawo. Isibonelo sikaJesu sokunqoba umhlaba kanye lakwenzayo kungenza umuntu abe lesibindi sokuthi ahlale ehlukene lomhlaba futhi angangcoliswa yiwo.—Joh 17:16.

Ukuchwayisisa IMibhalo

(UJohane 17:21-23) ukuthi bonke babemunye, Baba, njengoba wena ukimi lami ngikuwe. Sengathi labo bangaba kithi ukuze umhlaba ukholwe ukuthi ungithumile. 22 Ngibaphile inkazimulo owangipha yona, ukuze babe munye njengalokhu thina simunye: 23 Mina ngibe kubo lawe ukimi. Sengathi bangaba lokumanyana okupheleleyo ukutshengisa umhlaba ukuthi ungithumile njalo ubathandile njengalokhu ungithandile mina.

Kutsho ukuthi abalandeli bakaJesu bamanyene kulokho abakwenzayo, abakukholwayo labakufundisayo.—Rom 15:5, 6; 1Kr 1:10; Efe 4:3; Flp 1:27.

(UJohane 17:24) “Baba, ngifuna ukuthi labo ongiphe bona babe lami lapho engikhona, njalo bayibone inkazimulo yami, inkazimulo onginike yona ngoba wangithanda umhlaba ungakadalwa.

umhlaba ungakadalwa: Ibala lesiGrikhi elithi “ungakadalwa” kumaHebheru 11:11 lihunyutshwe ngokuthi “amandla okuba lomntwana.” KuJohane lihunyutshwe ngokuthi “umhlaba ungakadalwa” futhi kukhanya likhuluma ngokuzala abantwana kuka-Adamu lo-Eva. UJesu ufananisa ‘ukudalwa komhlaba’ lo-Abela umuntu wokuqala owenza okuhle futhi owokuqala ukuthi ‘ibizo lakhe lilotshwe encwadini yokuphila kusukela ekudalweni komhlaba.’ (Luk 11:50, 51; Sam 17:8) Amazwi kaJesu ethandaza kuYise anika ubufakazi bokuthi uNkulunkulu wayeyithanda iNdodana yakhe eyiyo yodwa kudala u-Adamu lo-Eva bengakabi labantwana.

“UJesu Wafakaza Iqiniso”

(UJohane 18:36) UJesu wathi, “Umbuso wami kayisiwo walo umhlaba. Aluba kwakunjalo izinceku zami bezizakulwa ukuvalela ukuthi ngingabotshwa ngabaJuda. Kodwa hatshi, umbuso wami uvela kwenye indawo.”

(UJohane 18:37) UPhilathu wathi, “Uyinkosi, phela!” UJesu waphendula wathi, “Uqondile ukuthi ngiyinkosi. Ngeqiniso ngazalelwa lokho, njalo ngalanda khona lokho emhlabeni, ukuzafakaza iqiniso. Bonke abemi eqinisweni bayangilalela.”

uzakufakaza: EMibhalweni yamaKhristu yesiGrikhi, amabala esiGrikhi ahunyutshwe ngokuthi ‘ukufakaza’ (mar·ty·reʹo) ‘lokufakaza’ (mar·ty·riʹa; marʹtys) alomutsho obanzi. Amabala la womabili alomqondo wokuvuma ukuthi ulutho oluthile luqondile kusiya ngowazibonela khona loba ngokwazi kwakho, kodwa angaba lomqondo “wokutsho; wokuqinisekisa; lowokukhuluma kuhle ngokuthile.” UJesu kazange avume loba atsho lokho ayeqiniseka ngakho kuphela kodwa waphila ngendlela ehambelana leqiniso elakhulunywa nguNkulunkulu elimayelana leziphrofetho lezithembiso zakhe. (2Kr 1:20) Kwakuphrofethwe ngenjongo kaNkulunkulu emayelana loMbuso kanye loMbusi onguMesiya. Impilo kaJesu elapha emhlabeni lokuzinikela kwakhe ekufeni kwagcwalisa zonke iziphrofetho ezazimayelana laye okugoqela izithunzi ezisesivumelwaneni soMthetho. (Kol 2:16, 17; Heb 10:1) Yikho sileqiniso lokuthi uJesu ‘wafakaza iqiniso’ ngamazwi langezenzo.

iqiniso: UJesu wayengatsho iqiniso kuphela kodwa wayesitsho iqiniso eliphathelane lezinjongo zikaNkulunkulu. Isiqokoqela senjongo kaNkulunkulu yikuthi uJesu “indodana kaDavida” uba nguMphristi Omkhulu leNkosi eMbusweni kaNkulunkulu. (Mat 1:1) UJesu wathi isizatho esiqakathekileyo sokuthi aze emhlabeni sasingesokuthi azofakaza iqiniso ngoMbuso lo. Izingilosi lazo zakhuluma okufananayo uJesu engakazalwa langesikhathi esezelwe eBhethilehema laseJudiya, idolobho lapho okwazalelwa khona uDavida.—Luk 1:32, 33; 2:10-14.

(UJohane 18:38a) UPhilathu wabuza wathi, “Liyini iqiniso na?”

Liyini iqiniso na?: UPhilathu wayesitsho iqiniso elijayelekileyo, hatshi lelo uJesu ayesanda kukhuluma ngalo. (Joh 18:37) Aluba lo kwakungumbuzo olengqondo akuthandabuzwa ukuthi uJesu wayezawuphendula. Kodwa uPhilathu wayebuza nje engadingi impendulo ethandabuza ukuthi kulento enjalo. Wayengathi uthi, “Iqiniso? Kuyini khonokho? Akulanto enjalo!” UPhilathu kazange alindele impendulo kodwa waphuma waziyela kumaJuda ayephandle.

(UJohane 19:30, NW) Esenathile wathi, “Sekuphelile.” Esetsho lokho wagobisa ikhanda lakhe wawunikela umoya wakhe.

wawunikela umoya wakhe: Kumbe “wama ukuphefumula.” Ibala lesiGrikhi elithi pneuʹma lingazwisiseka njengelitsho “umoya” loba “amandla okuphila.” Lokhu kukhanya ekusetshenzisweni kwebala lesiGrikhi elithi ek·pneʹo (nxa lihunyutshwa linjengoba linjalo litsho “ukuphefumula”) emibhalweni efanana loMakho 15:37 loLukha 23:46 (lapho elihunyutshwe ngokuthi “waphela” kumbe indlela elihunyutshwe ngayo kumicijo yokutaditsha esemavesini le, “waphefumula okokucina”). Abanye bathi ibala lesiGrikhi elithi “wama ukuphefumula” litsho ukuthi uJesu wayekela ngabomo ukuphefumula njengoba konke kwasekuphelile. Yena “wanikela ukuphila kwakhe ekufeni.”—Isy 53:12; Joh 10:11.

(UJohane 19:31, NW) Lolo kwakulusuku lokuLungiselela. Ngokuba abaJuda babengafuni izidumbu zisale esigodweni ngeSabatha (ngoba lelolanga kwakuliSabatha elikhulu), bacela uPhilathu ukuthi kwephulwe amalunga emilenze lezidumbu zethulwe.

lelolanga kwakuliSabatha elikhulu: UNisani 15 kwakulilanga elalilandela iPhasika futhi ilanga leli lalisiba lisabatha kungelani lokuthi kungolwesingaki. (Lev 23:5-7) Nxa iSabatha eliqakathekileyo lalisiba ngeSabatha elijayelekileyo (ilanga lesikhombisa kukhalenda yamaJuda, eliqalisa ngoLwesihlanu ntambama kuze kube ngoMgqibelo ntambama) kwakusiba liSabatha “elikhulu.” Isabatha leli elikhulu yilo elalandela ilanga uJesu afa ngalo. Kusukela ngo-29 kusiya ku-35 C.E., umnyaka ka-33 C.E. yiwo kuphela uNisani 14 abakhona ngoLwesihlanu. Ngakho-ke ubufakazi lobu busekela ukuthi uJesu wafa ngoNisani 14, 33 C.E.
