Everything wey Me·phib′o·sheth get don be your own.” Zi′ba come talk say: “I bow down for you. Make my lord the king continue to happy with me.”
5 When King David reach Ba·hu′rim, one man wey come from the family* of Saul wey im name na Shim′e·i, wey be the son of Ge′ra, come out. And as e de waka near where them dey, e de shout and de curse David. 6 E just de stone David and all the servants of King David, even the strong-strong men wey dey the king right side and im left side, and all the people. 7 As Shim′e·i de curse-am, e de talk say: “Comot from here, comot from here, you this man wey blood dey im head! You this useless man! 8 Jehovah don pay you back for the blood of all the people wey you kill for the family* of Saul, wey you take im position as king. But Jehovah don give your son Ab′sa·lom the kingdom. Now, this problem don come meet you because you be person wey blood dey im head!”
9 A·bish′ai wey be the son of Ze·ru′iah come tell the king say: “Why this dead dog go de curse my lord the king? Abeg, make I cross go meet-am and cut im head comot.” 10 But the king talk say: “This Ze·ru′iah sons, wetin concern una for this matter? Leave-am make e curse me, because Jehovah don tell-am say, ‘Curse David!’ So who go come talk say, ‘Why you de do this thing?’” 11 Then David tell A·bish′ai and all im servants say: “See, my own pikin wey come from my own body want kill me, talkless of this Benjamin person! Make una leave-am make e curse me, because na so Jehovah tell-am! 12 Maybe Jehovah go see the way I de suffer and Jehovah go make good things reach my hand again, instead of this curse wey them de curse me today.” 13 As David talk this one, e continue to waka with im men de go for the road, but Shim′e·i dey the mountain side, and e de waka follow them for the same line, de shout de curse them, and de throw stones and plenty sand.
14 At last, the king and all the people wey dey with-am reach where them de go. Them don tire, so them rest.
15 As this one de happen, Ab′sa·lom and all the men of Israel reach Jerusalem, and A·hith′o·phel dey with-am. 16 When Hu′shai wey be Ar′chite person, and wey be David friend* come meet Ab′sa·lom, Hu′shai tell Ab′sa·lom say: “Make the king live long! Make the king live long!” 17 As Hu′shai talk this one, Ab′sa·lom ask-am say: “Na the love wey no de fail wey you de show your friend be this? Why you no follow your friend go?” 18 So Hu′shai tell Ab′sa·lom say: “No o, I dey the side of the person wey Jehovah, this people, and all the men of Israel don choose. Na that person I go stay with. 19 I come still ask myself say, Who I go serve? I no suppose serve im son? Just as I serve your papa, na so I go serve you.”
20 Then Ab′sa·lom tell A·hith′o·phel say: “Advice me. Wetin we go do?” 21 So A·hith′o·phel tell Ab′sa·lom say: “Make you sleep with your papa concubines,* the ones wey e leave to take care of the house. Then all Israel people go hear say you don make yourself be person wey your papa no want take eye see,* and all the people wey dey your side go get mind to continue to support you.” 22 So them make tent for Ab′sa·lom ontop the roof, and Ab′sa·lom sleep with im papa concubines* for front of all Israel people.
23 That time, them de see advice wey A·hith′o·phel de give as word wey come from the true God.* Na so them de value all the advice wey A·hith′o·phel de give, even David and Ab′sa·lom de value-am.
